Journey, Not A Destination

I'm busy again at work today but will be popping in on diaries quickly as my attention span wains (that's about every 10 minutes ha ha). So good morning to you!

Morning. :)

Wow, am I sore! This just proves how much I have been slacking off in the gym. I'm walking around like I have stick up my ass. And I took it easy, really.

It feels awesome to be back on plan though. Yesterday was leg training.

It looked something like this:

A1 -- Full Squats -- 5x5
A2 -- Romanians -- 5x5

The above superset had a 2 minute break between each subset.

B1 -- Bulgarian Split Squats -- 3x12

C1 -- Seated Calf Press -- 3x15 @ a 331 tempo

D1 -- Hanging Leg Raises -- 3x12

Nutrition has been on point except of a bunch of Doritos and a hoagie. Haha! I have no idea what the weight's at.... I'm guessing over 190. I feel very full (fat). That's not a good sign considering I'm just starting the bulk, lol.

Personal life, nothing too exciting. Getting a big raise come January, so that's exciting. Just got a nice bonus too yesterday, which is great considering I'm going to the shore with another couple in 2 weekends. Another trip to Atlantic City. I'm also in 'negotiations' to start systematically buying small chunks of ownership in our firm.... so that's exciting I guess.

The website development has been lacking, to say the least. My partner, Gordy, is always busy on the weekends. When he's free, I'm busy. I'm not real concerned though. When it happens, it happens. We've got a bunch of stuff down on paper, a rough draft of a mission statement and philosophy, rough drafts of most of the pages we want, a food database sketched out in excel, a logo, and a bunch of ideas thrown all over the place. I'm sure it will come together. Oh yea, we also have a website name too. Shhhhh.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Morning Steve!! (DAY 1 ) let me just put this easy, I'm in PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHHA yeah, I did what you suggested for day 1 and my legs are not liking me much today. :) Which in my book is a good thing, means I worked them good. LOL I was praying in the mirror at the gym the entire time that eventually doing these lunges is going to lift the butt, so it's worth it! I did go into my hour long Yoga, pilates, tia-chi class afterwords, and holy toledo, my legs were like jello, I've never felt so shaky in that class in my life. I guess I've been neglecting those muscles lately and I'm glad you put me back into the right direction. Now, if only I could have hoagies and Doritos, I would be SET!!! LMAO Thanks Steve, I owe you BIG TIME!!!!!!!:hug2:

Yah, I got the PM. Mankini Mayhem... I love it!!!

Bullshit. You're ADD. Your mind is thinking about a billion things constantly.

Oh shit... speaking of which, I need to get my car washed, take the kitten to the vet, hit the gym, and learn a few 10 hobbies in the next hour. ;)

On a serious note, I'm happy to hear things are going awesome. Forum wise... you have until after January. ;) hahaa

That didn't make the cut, sorry. I was pushing for it but the business thought it best of the name revolved around something fitness related.

You don't owe me!

Glad to hear you 'enjoyed' the workout, lol. Keep me posted. And are you planning on maintaining the same level of cardio you were doing?

When I get that car, I'll take a picture of me driving it in a silverback gorilla costume.... promise.

I didn't realize you were even going to be a member.

Sheryl, WTF!!!!!

I told you it was between you and me. :(

I know, my fingers were just getting tired from typing and I didn't know how else to end the post, lol.

Thanks, and we'll see!

to be honest with you, I'm not sure if I'll have the time to do the cardio I was getting in before. I will continue my normal Monday and Wed Body Jam classes as I LOVE those! but I'll just fill in bike riding or Arc Training if I find time, but I'm more focused now on getting in those weight training days. Is it okay to weight train and do the circuit classes on the same day?? That was a concern of mine yesterday. Most of the circuit training is upper body stuff.

Oh and since Monday's weigh in, I'm down 2 1/2 pounds WOW, that just blows my mind, now if I can squeeze in another pound lost by Monday, I'll be happy with that!

You mean circuit classes like body pump?

OH NO!! our circuit classes are just the ladies, and have you heard of Curves? it's machines like that, mainly resistance type machines, I think there are hmmmm 10 different ones, we use each for a time of 30 seconds in which we try to do as many as we can in that time span, the harder and faster you go the more the resistance, it's fun! in between each machine, we use a little stepper like in step aerobic classes, it's hard to explain, but it's not super strenuous or anything like that.
