I cheated again.

:(.

I'm not good at this. I'm trying really....but I wanted to see how my TOM affected the weight. I had expected it to go up. I don't know...I think my body is going through a weird stage. I don't mind it because the scale keeps going down but...it's weird. Oh well.

Sorry..

Bronski....that's really good that you've run out. Means you've been drinking it!

can you get one of those water filters for the fridge or one that fits over the sink tap - when i lived in nj it didn't help the water taste at all - it was still disgusting... but in new hampshrie the water is definitely drinkable with the filter...

though it is good exercise lugging home bottles of water :)

ava hun, we know you're trying. Don't worry, practise makes perfect, and in a few weeks you'll be strong. You can try my "I want this DVD but can't afford it" ritual; I pick up the DVD, read it, hold it, study it, then put it back on the shelf, promising that one day I'll have it. One day in the January sales, probably! You could try just stepping onto the scales, eyes *shut* and imagining how wonderful it'll be when you've waited and dropped a large amount.

Mal, we've had filters before, but I'm still not big on the taste. So I stick to bottled, especially Spa, Chaufaintaine (Belgium waters) and Volvic on the mainstream line. I sound so snobbish writing that! :p I've been OK on the water front today, I discovered some 2 litre bottles, so I've been chugging through one since I got in from work. Nearly had the whole thing!

I'm really not looking forward to tomorrow. I've had a pretty eratic weekend ("eratic" is a euphamism for "I ate far too much and took advantage of the fact that I was on holiday") and the two days, the two, single, solitary days I've been doing my proper dieting pattern again, I've been ballsing up quite well. Plus I've only been walking on the exercise front, I've not had time for swims.

Either way, if I'm up tomorrow it'll be a wake up call and just kick me back into routine. In theory.

Good luck for tomorrow everyone. I shall probably be on here at 4am, unless its bad news ... that can 'weight' until later ....

I shall be beaten (not literally, of course ;) ) by Blitzed anyway, I think its actually Saturday morning in Australia right now :D

See you all in the am!!!!

Okay...I really missed the boat on this post. I'm so game for the Friday weigh in. I have a habit of stepping on the scale daily and getting discouraged. Maybe that is the key to staying positive is by weighing weekly instead of daily. I think Friday is good then I can plan my week. What an excellent idea. I think I need to fix up my signature becase I am no longer at 139lbs. I weighed myself at the gym on Tuesday and it said 149lbs. My scale lies. I will stick to the gym scale so that it is more accurate.

Scales differ from one set to the other. When I was competing with judo, some of the team would weigh in the morning and be just under the limit they needed for that weight group, then get to the competition only to find that the scales say they're two catagories up.

Great to have another person aboard, Jodee :) You're absolutely correct with the weighing in, it's been proven that people that weigh weekly as opposed to daily/fortnightly/monthly have a higher sucess rate than those who weigh themselves too often or too few. And losing something on a friday is a great way to start the weekend *oh I can't waiiiiiiit, for the weekend to begin* etc

I'm sure it won't be bad news, Mrs B! You've done well this week. If you want, I can kidnap your scales, tie them to a chair in a beam of glaring light and hit them with a hammer until they agree to make sure you've lost some! Admittedly, hitting them with a hammer will probably screw them up so tomorrow they'll read 17.3 lbs :p

Just having tea; cereal with skimmed milk... I'd forgotten how cr@ppy skimmed tasted.

Bronsk

Bronsk...can you do that to my scale? It is so old and I really need an excuse to by a new state-of-the-art one. ;)

PS. I fixed my Weight Tracker....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

17.3lbs!!! How much have I been sweating this last week :D

Bronsk, I got some stats for you to consider. 100ml skimmed milk is 24 cals, 100ml semi-skimmed milk is 48 cals. Even if you have 200ml, the difference is only 28 calories ... thats less than an apple. Also, we need to enjoy what we are eating, otherwise we may go looking for extras (just like with men :D , joke!)

I tried a few scales at the store the other day, just to see if maybe I would like a digital better than my old fashioned scale. Same day, same time, same clotes, a 20 pound variance across the board! 20 pounds! I was tempted to buy the scale that said I was 12 pounds lighter than I am! :D

Anyway, I decided to stick with my old scale, because whether the start weight was accurate or not, it will still show me when I have reached 100 pounds lost. Besides, it is the scale with which I started this journey, and it has been pretty good to me so far. :)

Good luck tomorrow, everyone!

Well said Twinmom. It isn't the actual figure that matters, it is how far you've come. The only time it would matter would be if you were comparing weights of different people, but people are different heights, and different builds ... there is no comparison.

Jodee, of course I'll kidnap your scales! I can even feed them dry rice until their stomach explodes if you want :D

Thanks for the info, Mrs B! According to the bottles in the fridge, the nasty ick-yak-poo-sucks skimmed is 34kcals, and the semi skimmed is 49 kcals. Again, not a great deal of difference. I think once the skimmed poop has been used up I'll just go onto full fat, it'll make the cornflakes more exciting :p

Or, new plan (and I am actually being serious) use the chocolate soy milk. That's at 57 kcals, so a bit more again, but makes the corn flakes a little less... samely...

20 various? twinmom that's mad! It's nice that you've kept your old scales though. I think that's really sweet :)

You know what, I think we all need to name our scales, it'll bring us closer to them, and easier to torture them on a Thursday night. I think I'll call ours... Orville!

*lifts Orville the scales onto knees and pets him*

I got low fat soy milk... 100 cal for 250 ml... I got it because it keeps longer than regular milk :)

I've not actually tried regular soy milk. I've tried some mixed with fruit juice and I wasn't that impressed with it. Dad's girlfriend picked it up because she thought it looked "interesting." Fair enough, and we now know that fruity soy isn't as fun as it is on the box.

Hi all, Mrs Bear it's Frid here now and about 8.00 am.
I dropped another 2 lbs :D , even got on the scale 3 times just to make sure  .
I have had no binges since the 21/06 or over eating....though yesterday I fell asleep for 20 mins in the afternoon and when I awoke I had that horrid feeling that I could eat a cow...I raced into the kitchen and got the BBQ shapes out but only ate 4 which is 44 cals while I quickly chopped some veggies and microwaved them....saved me from a binge.
Hope everyone goes well and we must be good on the weekend.;)

i'm still kind of on my totm...its like very close to the end though. should i weigh myself tomorrow or not do it for purpose of not being disappointed?

*swoons*

Remember how I said I'd be happy if I just stayed the same weight? Well, I haven't. I've dropped. A *lot*. Like a whole kilogram a lot! That's 2.2 lbs! May have to eat duck more often! I have no idea how that happened!! It's a miracle, you can tell I really prayed last night :p

Scales were being a bit tempremental, and at one point tried to tell me I'd lost 2 kilograms! I chose the middle one; it wasn't far off the higher one and is a tad more neutral.

Well done Blizted for your loss! Yay, we're all losers :D

*summerbreeze!* I'm sure no one will mind if you weigh yourself a day late, or even skip the weigh in this week; I might do the same when my TOTM comes next week.

Good luck everyone, I'm off to work.

Bye-ee!
