I thought I should post my confession on here aswell as my diary. I weighed on Saturday, because I thought the 2lbs was a fluke. But I have now removed the battery and am going to 'weight' until Friday to weigh again .... baby steps ... :rolleyes:

Again, no worries :) You've done well so far though, considering you used to weigh yourself often.

How is everyone today? It's monday...a new day...a new week...everything will be okay, right?

We all just gotta love our bodies...and everyone just keeps telling me to forget about dieting...and it will be okay...but, I am obsessive,you know? Especially when I had a weigh in like the one on friday...:-(

Hey Sarah, you reached your first goal!! Way to go :D I'm feeling positive this monday too, weekdays are always a lot easier than the weekend :p I wouldn't worry about being a bit obsessive about dieting. I don't think, especially in the beginning, that you can just pretend that you aren't dieting and live your life as normal and expect things to happen, you have to make conscious changes, and it does involve focus in the beginning. But soon it will all be second nature, and we can leave our obsessive ways behind :D

Avi, I love your new ticker design!!! It makes me think of christmas, my favourite time of year!!

Obsessive about dieting? lol. Ya.. in the beginning its quite obsessive.. nd even now I am fully concious of most everything I eat as my brain does a quick calculation of the apprx amount and calories. But its become second nature to me. :)

SarahL.. I hope things go better for you. Sounds like you are having a bit of a rough time. I disagree with your doctor btw... I thik at your weight anything below 1k calories is too low. But he is a doctor and I am only a girl who has lost 65 lbs. lol

I hope he is right for your sake :)

Sarah, well done on reaching your first goal! But what your doctor said... 800-1000 kcals... that is pretty low, especially at the weight you're at. If you're going to follow that, just take it easy, drink plenty and if you're not comfortable with the change in diet, *tell your doctor* so he can change the program.

There's going to be a couple of :rolleyes: when I say this, but I'm not going to do well this friday (yes I said that last week and was wrong, but I mean it this time!)

Yesterday: tea at grandma's - I had three, count 'em, THREE fishcakes! Today: lunch out with Top Cat, Wednsday: in town, Thursday: seaside (and seaside will = chips) and friday my best mate's coming over for chinese :eek: I think, maybe, I'm slightly screwed.

Although, thinking about it... I may see if I can convince best mate to eat some tuna burgers in. Save money, save calories. Though by friday, it'll be too late...

Bronski... just say no :p Now I am being very brunt about this.. so slap me if I go too far... but you seem to have little willpower :p You are 'cheating' allot.... and making some very unhealthy choices. Please.. please... just choose different. At resteraunts choose things that are grilled or boiled.. not fried. Say no to chips.. have a salad and fish instead. Get grilled fish instead of deep fried. Even baked is better than deep fried. To other things.. you just have to start saying no. Chinese food? Honey thats a reward... a specialty.. something we feed ourselves after doing so well!

I swear if I have to sit on you to keep you out of that stuff.. I will!!!! You are going to do well on Friday... or the diet gods may torture me with their tridents!! O.O

Now, we gonna eat healthy, ok? Remember.. you control what goes ito your mouth. You control that.. you control your weight. You want to loose weight, right? Uh huh. Yes you do. Now.. you will behave.. and when out.. eat like good little one.. right? I thought so. *shakes finger*

Slight problem with Bronski's is that Bronski doesn't like salad. Even dressed. Makes it hard to eat sensibly and order a salad. Although when I was out today I tried some that came with my sandwich.

On the sandwich front... I'm going to get severally bopped, and I wish I wasn't admitting to this; it was a BBQ chicken and cheese one. I don't eat red meat, and there wasn't much else to chose from. It came with chips, and I literally had a couple, and left the rest. I can even get Top Cat to vouch for that.

I stuck to water, not J20, didn't get any desert... There are changes, it's just the bits in the middle. I'm trying; this time a few weeks back, I would have stuffed those chips into my sandwich, wolfed it all down, ordered the chocolate cake and J20, not water.

Would say I feel better for what I've done, but again, it wasn't the best choice in the world. The only good thing going is that I didn't eat all my chips, and even that's basics. Maybe me's not doing so great after all :eek: Believe me when I say I'm trying though.

Bronski--what avi said pretty much lol. and plus, when i have to get a sandwich, i alter their sandwiches with chicken to basically make it out to be a grilled chicken sandwich. like i'll take off the cheese, ask for no bbq sauce and only mustard, and instead of fried onion rings on it i'll ask for lettuce tomato and onion. they usually start laughing halfway through, but i just tip a little better and i've enjoyed a good healthyl meal. i'll also usually take off the top bun to save on carbs/cals. those are just some tips :eek:

Jodee, is that a drop? Your ticker still says you're at 149, so if it's a 4 lb drop, then well done, that's another great score! And congrats on your first FSD weigh in!

Sarah, I'm sorry the scales were unkind. The thing you need to remember is that if you're working out as well, there'll be muscle gain, and muscle weighs more than fat. It was a good show of motivation going to the Weightloss clinic though, even though it turned out to be a bit crappy. I think definitely stick to your calorie counting plan, and if you do want some outside help, you could ask your doctor what he'd recommend as a good amount of exercise and calories. *big hugs*

Nope no drop. Just haven't changed my ticker. Its been a while since I've updated my ticker. (About 2 months). But thanks for pointing it out because when I do change it, it will make me feel so much better. :D Have a great day all.
 
summerbreeze (*insert guitar so-... nah, it's getting old now*) Thanks for the tips, I'll remember that next time I go for Subway or sandwich based meals. I may even order lettuce with my sandwich, heaven forbid :eek:

Bronski don't need to eat salad. Get fresh vegies.. or steamed vegies.. very good and fairly yummy. also can be filling. Also.. on the starch front.. rice is better than potatoes and pasta. I just say no to bread... but it can be filling and is not so high in calories. When I go out I try and stick to meat and vegies. If you don't eat red meat... chicken, turkey, fish.. all good. That and some steaming vegies = good meal :)

Hey, sorry I haven't weighed in, in awhile. I am currently at 163, and I'm on vacation! :D I'm pretty proud of myself. OH, and for once...my driver's license is isn't lying about my weight :p...I'm actually a few lbs less than what it says. When I had gotten my license I actually fibbed and knocked off 5 pounds from what I actually had weighed LOL.
 
rofl I put my liceanse as 170 I think... and am now 165.. woot!

Ha Ha Ha. Mine still says 110lbs. That was from I was 16 years old. I am double that age and more. I'm not going to tell them what I really weigh. They just always notice the change of hair color. :eek:
 
Putting your weight on a driving license seems a really strange idea to me, we don't do that in the UK. It is something that can, and often does, change very dramatically and in my case goes up, and down, and all over the place. What's the point, do they weigh you to prove who you are :D
 
Wow, I'm pretty grateful they don't put weight on UK driving licenses! I'd weep every time I got IDed!

Avi, I am being healthy without having salads. Sometimes it's just choice of place and what they have. This place was only serving sandwiches until the evening, and tomorrow it'll be my friend's decision where we eat, with it being her birthday.

As for friday, I've changed the chinese. I've asked friend if I could cook for her instead, and she agreed. So tuna burgers on the menu come friday! I'm quite looking forward to that; I enjoy cooking!
