Join The FSD!

phew thanks guys! that is the first clear answer i have gotten. searches on medical websites only gave me results like cancer lol and i was like "oh great now i've got cancer"

its only frustrating because once again i can't weigh myself properly until its over since i'm prob bloated right now

Yes SarahL, got my period late Sunday night :D ....I look like I swallowed a hot water bottle....thought it was maybe fluid retention but who am I kidding, it's fat.:(

beware

Beware the Subway cookie. I ate one - ACK! I knew my calories were low today and I could probably afford one, but who knew? The oatmeal raisin cookie is 200 calories! The other varieties are even more than that. Just run away.

With my luck.. mine will prob come Friday :p

I have been extreamely stressed out lately which I know affects weightloss.. besides eating the wrong stuff.. so I'm not expecting anything anyway. But today I started to work at it.. a little exercise.. and eating properly.

Haha, here to join the period club! Mine's likely to appear over the weekend, and mine are total b@stards and stick around for over a week! So this and next week I'll be heavier or samely.

Well done to everyone for last week's weigh in, I didn't quite make it back. No matter, everyone's done well. If you haven't shifted weight, that's still cool, you've not put it on, and keeping weight off is just as hard as losing it.

Tell you what though, after this weekend it'll be a blessing if I actually stay the same weight! I ate far too much, I ate things that I don't actually eat out of principle and didn't exercise half as much (it was very, very warm.)

Some of the activities we did included lazing by a stream, visiting the Wenslydale cheese factory (we tasted all the different types of Wenslydale; smoked, blue, goats... then the red leicesters with leek, chedder with sheeps milk... heavenly fatty!) two meals out (I had duck both times - erk!) But then we also free-climbed a cliff, which was frightening, but totally amazing!

Slight problem this week is that I start work again tomorrow, so chances are I'm not going to be able to get a swim in this week. Well, I could, but I don't fancy going to that area at night. Plus the buses end up less regular. Will aim to stride after work, and really stive with meals this week to make up for the lack of exercise.

Have a fab afternoon!

Wow Bronsk, you sound like you had a great time, and free-climbing ..... ..... I'm not brave enough for that! I'm sure you'll do fine with the weigh in. Aslong as you try extra hard this week, it will make up for the weekend. I know you can do it!! ;)

Sweet,. free climbing :D Good old fashioned way. I am wearing a skirt today... so walking is going to be cut down a slight bit.. hehehe. Walking in a skirt is not my idea of walking. I did do 40 min this morning in sweatpants though... figure thats enough for the day.. except for the groccery shopping I am going to be doing later on. Atleast I will be paid for it.. as I am shopping for my employer.. and i get paid hourly for it... will prob take me blimy 2 hrs. >.< Hate shopping.. but she didn't have anyone else to do it today.. and she is short on food.

I got a 1/2 dozen eggs, soya milk, mini cans of diet cola, bananas and crystal light this morning for myself. I didn't dare get any cheese... I love cheese way too much.

Apparently there is something addictive in cheese, not sure what but I can sooooo believe it. I love cheese, cheese and ham, cheese and crackers, cheese and apple, cheese and apple jelly, cheese and ..... well you get the idea :D

cheese and cheese. cheese and pickles!! *dies* cheese toast.. cheese melted over anything... tuna.. chicken.. etc :D

*falls over*

Now all I want is cheese. hehehe

Had a great time and even managed to stick to the diet the whole time I was away. The others were drinking alcohol and eating chips etc. But I managed to keep away from all of it. I was SOO proud of myself. :D

Looking through the huge number of posts since Thursday, it looks like everyone did tremendously well. This is so amazing. I’m so happy for everyone.

I too stayed off the scale and was happily surprised that I dropped another 3 pounds. My ticker has been updated with my newest small success.

It’s so great to see that FSD is working for so many people.

Avi2Kat I’m sending positive thoughts your way about your grandmother. I hope she improves.

Mrs. Bear, thanks for the suggestions and the support. ;) As much as I reference my diet as “torture” and as hard as it is, it’s working so I can’t or rather, shouldn’t really complain. I wanted to lose weight and it’s happening. If I can stick to it, I’ll eventually be where I want to be and maybe be a lot more happy about myself and my body. Right now it’s a tiny bit better, but I still have a long road ahead.

So thanks again for the support. It helps to know that there are others out there who are struggling with the same issues and feel or appreciate the pain and suffering that not eating certain things can bring.

I firmly believe if we look to each other for support when times are tough, we can all do this and one day all post that we’ve achieved the weight loss that we’ve always wanted.

Hi everyone!!!!

Sorry about that.

Just realized that I missed a whole piece of my post, so none of you will have a clue why I said "had a great time..."

Silly me.

Anyway, I wasn't able to join in on the posts on Friday, we went away camping this weekend so I didn’t return home until last night.

That is excellent Cleo, 3 pounds!!! Way to go, and I wouldn't call it a 'tiny bit' either. Apparently, 3 lbs is the most actual fat that you can lose in a week. I'm glad you had a good time camping, was it baking hot for you too?

Keep up the great work!!! ;)

Wasn't too hot, as we had alot of rain. Sunday was nice and Monday was beautiful, however that was when we were packing up to leave for home.

Did alot of walking so I'm sure that is helpful.

My problem is that I don't exercise. Not sure what my problem is with it but I know that if I did, I would see alot more come off of me. But something keeps holding me back from getting out there and doing some activity.

I've thought about joining a gym. I even own a treadmill but I'm never on it. That's part of the problem.

It's something that I would like to work on, just not sure how to start.

Between my affliction to exercise and my addiction to food (mostly sweets) it's not a combination that makes losing weight easy. It's in fact quite the opposite. A perfect way to pack on the pounds.

Even though I've reduced my sugar and carb intake probably by 200% of what it used to be, I still crave everything and anything that is sweet.

Thanks Pineola.

I think that the important thing is when we do get off track that we don't keep off.

Alot of my actions before were, "oh well, I've blown another day...might as well eat anything and everything I think of."

Now I'm more selective and really think about it before getting off track. Then when I do, I try to focus on getting back there. It's not easy but I'm fighting those cravings and urges to resort to the "old ways" i had before.

I know exactly how you feel, Cleo. I've just come back from a camping trip, and I've just splurged. It was just too hot for walking up mountains though, though like I said I did do some free climbing.

Hope you can get back on track as well. I've been on track for the last few hours so it's going well :p Well done on your weightloss!

Oh the free-climbing! Top Cat is pretty experienced with that, so he was climbing around trying to find a route I could manage (I have short legs!) Whilst he was climbing down one bit, he was about 3/4 metres from the groud, hanging from this rock face that looked vertical from my angle. That was frightening! Then after going up and down again, I got stuck not far from the bottom, but far enough. There was just no where I could go or reach. So had a small panic, Top Cat calmed me down, and eventually i worked it out. Frightening, yes. But hell I'd do it all again right now!

Sounds awesome.

Hey Cleo.. only way I use a treadmill or a treadbike is while watching tv. Might be a good idea :)

Thanks for the thoughts everyone :)

Hey guys!! Cleo, you've hit the nail on the head ... it is all about planning. If you know what you are going to eat, even if you are going off your diet, then you don't get that feeling of losing control, which can lead to an all out binge.

Keep up the good work everyone, I can't wait till Friday!! (gets a bit nervous as she remembers last weekend's splurge!!)

Dude, friday in just a few days, erk! Like I said, it will be a miracle if I actually stay the same. Very tempted to have a fruit and water day, though with work being more tiring than it actually looks, I don't think it'll be a good idea this week.

And we've run out of bottled water <-- (voice of a snob that refuses to drink tap water) so I'm sticking to fruit juice. In kiddy cups, mind.

Ah well, what I do tomorrow won't affect friday too much.
