Thanks Mrs Bear! I changed it to 132 but know that it will go back up throughout the week, especially if it was just water weight. That's okay though...at least I can feel special for the rest of the week...right? :).

It might go back up, but I think that it was more likely to be extra weight that you were holding onto and this is your true weight. Can't wait until next Friday to see the good results ;)

yep

Mrs. Bear is right. You can't magically drop fat in a day, but you can drop water. If you dropped excess water, this is what you really weigh - without any bloat! Yeah, you might get some bloat back, but as long as you are eating right and exercising, if the scale goes back up a little, you know for sure it is not fat, just water! :D

Thanks you guys! That makes me feel a lot better actually. And even if I do gain some back...seeing the scale that low for the first time in over a year REALLY motivated me to get the rest of this off. I'm a small kid, with a small frame so there is definitely more to be lost here. I feel bad about cheating but..eh...well not really. :). I must say it was worth it. I posted this in my diary..but I tried on smaller pants as an experiement..and they fit! I haven't been able to wear them in a year and a half! Feels so good.

Hope the rest of you are having a good day...(and not being naughty like me and cheating!)...can't wait for Friday!

depends on when your period is too.. it really affects weight loss.

then you prob wont loose any this coming friday if you have it around then... water retension again. Women's bodies are so tempermental and the menstral cycle really interferes with what your scale says.

Avajayne, congrats on the success with your smaller pants!! Its always such a motivation boost ;) Keep up the good work.

So, how was everyone's weekend? Avi..how's your grandmother? I don't get on the computer much during the weekend..so, if you have posted something that I may have just skimmed over to bring myself up to speed...it's hard to read a bunch of posts..lol..and internalize them! Has Blitzed had her period? I know how it feels to be late..lol...I was late with my son...(lol, you know where this is going) and I thought..oh, I was just 3 days late or so..and then I counted again and I was 9 days late..so, got the test..and hey, got a 5 yr old healthy boy running around...and then when he was 11 months old, got pregnant with my daughter..and she's sitting on my lap right now...she's 3 1/2 and very independent...but, she doesn't like mama to be on the computer.

My kids are both extremely thin. They have their daddy's genes. I hope that when they go through puberty it doesn't turn on them...but, that will be okay too...I know I am biased..but, they are both beautiful children. My daughter has huge brown eyes, thick brown eyebrows and long mid-back hair...with the sausage curls...and my son is blonde...with very light skin and he has a dimple in his chin...and smiling eyes...

Oh, sorry about gushing about my kids..I just reread that...and for those who don't have kids...you will be like 'ohhh just skipping her post' lol!!!!

Talk to you all later,
Sarah

Sarah...please brag about your kids! I love when parents do that. It's so sweet to see parents speak so highly of their kids...I love hearing about it. Sounds like you have a good thing going with your family. :). You should be proud.

Avi--you called it right on the money. TOM is here. Aghhh. That sucks. But I'm lucky, mine never lasts longer than 4 or 5 days. I'm glad I got it now instead of when I leave for vacation. That would have been no fun.

Hope the rest of you are having good days!

Where ya going on vacation? Maybe you posted that before..but, like I said..if I miss a couple of days, I skim...:)

Ohh...but, it will be glorious! I would love to go south right now. However, it is hotter than hades here in Ohio too...going to brew up another storm I think. Nice 4th right? Thunderstorm 4th! (supposed to be)

We took the kids on a 1.2mi wagon ride...and we pulled the wagon (my dad and I) and we were soooo sweaty when we got back...and the kids were too, just sitting there. It's like 90s out there I think?

Wish me luck that we aren't busy at work tonight. I work 2:30-8:30 tonight and they are supposed to 'feed us' which means pizza! I think I will take some blueberries and cherries and apples and celery (that's good, right?) nooo pizza!

Sar

Hey guys!!

Sarah, I'm hoping to be in the same situation as you. My hubby was always slim (approaching middle age and liking the odd drink has given him a slight pot belly now) and his sisters are very slim, so I am hoping that this will pass on to our kids, as my family are mostly overweight.

I have not weighed since Friday (yeah!!) and I am determined to stick to fridays. Now that I am out of the habit and not thinking about it, it makes it so much easier not to weigh.

Half way through the week guys!!;)

Grandmother is about the same... she was worse for a while.. throwing up because of the codine in the pills.

someone was talking about TOM...i have a really random question about that. i know this can't be normal, but has anyone ever gotten their TOM twice a month? i'm mid-cycle right now, but i got it again! over the past few months, i was spotting during mid-cycle, but now i just full on got my period again. its only been about 15 days since my last...i'm not on the pill or anything and i don't have a mom to ask and my dad's out of town (and telling him that would be weird anyway...). i have a gyno back at syracuse who i saw when i had started spotting randomly, but she said everything was fine, but i just want to get some advice now so that i dont freak out for the next two months before i go back to her. should i be worried  i know this has nothign to do with weight loss lol. my friend though thinks it could be bc of my routine change and working out so much

a change in cycle can be brought on by about a bazillion different things... including but not limited to age, amount of stress, change in diet, change in location, change in workout routine, even change in roommates (it's actually been proven that women who live together or even work together will often have the same cycle).

I wouldn't worry this month, but if it happens more than once, i'd contact your doctor just to confirm everything is OK - -especially if you were very regular before.

codeine is a rough pill for people to take - i had a scrip for it a while back when i seriously hosed my back - and i ended up witih hallucinations from it - scary bad hallucinations... I hope she, or a family member, has talked to the doctor about changing the prescription... throwing up from meds isn't fun, especially when you don't feel good to begin with.

Summer, I found after my miscarriage that my cycle was really short. Apparently this can be because you have not ovulated that month. When you ovulate, the womb lining builds up and gets a blood supply to it. If you don't get pregnant then your ovary releases a hormone that causes it to break down and you have your period. If you don't ovulate then the lining builds up but doesn't get a blood supply, so it eventually breaks down of its own accord, which is often sooner than it would be normally. When you get stressed you can skip an ovulation. I got my regular cycle back after 6 months, and had TOTM every 4-5 weeks, but then I moved house in January and it went back to 3 weeks for 2 cycles.

I wouldn't worry, but if it does continue, maybe just get checked out by the doc ;)
