Johanna's Diary ::Lifetime Commitment::

Well, my teacher is not in yet so i decided to write my nutrition and workout for yesterday before i forget..lol..I know i will forget with all the calculus work that I'm about to learn now...lol


Workout:
60 min walk
15 min walking the dog


Nutrition:

BREAKFAST:
Whole Wheat bread with butter(didnt read your post until after I ate it, Sheryl...lol)
Cereal with 2% milk

Lunch:

Whole Wheat bread with turkey ham, mozorella chees (part skim milk), and 1 tbps of mayo

Dinner:
2 Soft tacos(I GAVE IN TO TEMPTATION!!!..lol...I'm back on track today, though.)






I'll be back tonight to write my nutrition for today..HOPEFULLY I can fit some type of workout today..My sister is working so I'm stuck babysitting four kids with my brother in law...lol
 
Que linda mamita! A Dominicana on here, how rare! You are doing really well with the eating mami. I gained all of my weight while I was pregnant and eating at H's puerto rican grandmother's house several times a week. Everything fried! Chulettas (fried), chicken cutlet (fried), empanada (fried), tortones (fried). Then you get a huge portion of arroz con gondules and she gets mad at me if I dont eat it all. Now I tell her I just want a little rice, and she laughs and serves me 3 kernels as a little joke. :rotflmao: I stopped eating at her house though and now H can't really call me gordita anymore LOL. The exercise you've been doing sounds like a great start. Will you be adding weights (any access to a gym or some equipment)?

Hey Blancita, Thanks for stopping by! I know what you mean about eating all the YUMMY but NOT SO HEALTHY spanish food...lol...My mother cooks some DELICIOUS spanish food and everytime she cooks, she cooks A LOT, so there was no other choice but to eat it when i was small...lol...But now I'm grown and i know that eating BIG PORTIONS of rice with beans and meat is not healthy...My mom has stopped cooking so much after she was diagnosed with cancer last year and the doctor told her that one of the causes for cancer is obesity...I've also been informing her of every article I read that contains information on healthy nutrition and exercise, which has helped her alot in changing her eating habits to HEALTHY eating habits.

I will be adding weights in about one week to my exercises...Do i have access to a gym?..lol...Its a long story but i'll try to make it short...Me and my sister joined the gym in APRIL but have only been there like 6 times....My sister is always busy with her kids, bills, husband, etc....She never really has time, or TAKES THE TIME, to go to the gym...I really try to encourage her to go because I want us both to go to the gym(ITS NO FUN GOING ALONE), But she's on water pills and she's loosing the weight VERY QUICKLY...maybe thats why she's not so interested in going to the gym..I have a license but since my sister is always the one driving around when i go out I never really get a chance to drive(she doesnt trust me with her kids..lol...and 99.9% of the time we go out with the kids)...Therefore, I'm afraid to drive on my own ANYWHERE!...BUT THAT IS GOING TO STOP!...I really want to go to the gym at least 5 days a week so I am going to start on the 20th(after all the kids that are in my house leave) to practice driving so i wont have to depend on my sister to go to the gym...I can finally go when I WANT TO!...Well, thats the most important parts of the gym story...lol...HOPEFULLY in a week i will be talking about my trips to the gym and how BAD I'M KICKING ASS at the gym...lol
 
Today I didnt workout because I was stuck babysitting the WHOLE DAY! My food wasnt all that good but i managed to get in some vegetables in and the omelette that Sheryl recommended...lol


NUTRITION:

BREAKFAST:

Cereal with 2% milk
1 slice of whole wheat bread with smart balance omega creamy natural peanut butter


Lunch:
Omelette(with peppers, celery, tomatoes, and onions)


Dinner:
Chicken crispy with lettuce tomato and mayo on a bun

Snack:
Apple
Cereal with milk

Total Calories: 1855

GREAT NEWS!!!!! I just showed my sister a picture of her when she was REALLY REALLY SKINNY and she told me that after the kids leave we are going to start going to the gym MONDAYS THRU THURSDAYS...I AM SOOOOO HAPPY!!!...I think that is what she needed to motivate herself and actually start going to the gym...she said she's going to print that picture out so she can put it in a frame(for inspiration and motivation, i guess..lol)...WOHOOO!!!...I'm going to bed really happy now..:) :jump: :rotflmao:

I'm stuck babysitting again today...but i took some time out to come and write down my nutrition for the day. I planned it out ahead of time since i'll be stuck home the whole day.


NUTRITION

Tuna with mayo, onions and 3 crackers

DINNER:

Chicken breast(no skin) with brocolli, and mixed vegetables
1 serving of rice

SNACK:

2 Servings of pineapple

Hey Sheryl,

I havent gotten on for the past couple of weeks because I went to visit my sisters, one in florida and the other one in New Jersey. I am sooo sorry that i didnt let you know but it was kind of like a surprise trip. It wasnt in my plans...Well, now I'm back and I have to admit i think i did pretty good while i was away...I went down from 249 to 247 so I didnt do that bad. Well, I'm off to bed..I'm really tired and I have to wake up early tomorrow to go walk with my mom and walk the dog before going to the water park...Thanks for checking in on me...Tomorrow i will pass by your diary and see how you are doing....bye!

Awww heck... it's all good, girl. Did you at least have fun at your sisters? Good on you for losing 2 lbs, mami! If anything, I'm glad you're back around and have been keeping up with working out! :D
