Jmann journey to a new me

So today I was in a great groove commuting to work. Got my fastest time today. I made the round trip in under 27 min. Which is about 5 min faster then my normal commute. I found a groove and stayed with it. My average speed was 18.2. Fastest ever for me. Here are the pics from my bike computer.

It was a great warm up for my vertical plyo workout and I felt like I could go a little more so I did the overtime workout as well which is 12 min of straight work. I'm feeling great right now.

I'm glad it's working well for you. I know what you mean about learning new moves. I just started a new Taebo workout and there are a few moves that I can do in slow motion, but when he does the cardio/fast moving side I get lost. I'm just not coordinated! I'm still trying though and getting better! :)

Sounds like you're kicking butt out there. Keep up the good work.

Well I finally broke into the 170's. this morning was 179.0. It was nice not seeing 180 any more. So today it was a rest day for insanity. So instead of resting I went for a 23.92 mile bike ride. My legs are dead right now. There was a couple a hard climbs. Almost had to walk one but I stuck with it and got to the top. I figured it climbed about 400 feet in less then a 1/4 mile. After that it was all down hill and flat. Tomorrow I'm back on the asylum. Then I get to relax and take the Harley for a 250 mile ride on some roads that are suppose to be awesome. Looking forward to that.

Holy crap! You're awesome! Riding a bike for that distance is something I probably couldn't even dream about! Enjoy your ride tomorrow. :)

Great shots! I especially liked the 3rd and 4th ones. Glad you had a good day out. We had a rainy day here.

Thanks Mandy. I was sore this morning. It's funny how sitting on a bike and riding 250 miles in the sun can wear you out. I was going to go for a run this morning. But I made it as far as the kitchen to cook breakfast. But after my workout I decided to go for a 3 mile run it was nice. But now I'm going to relax the rest of the day.

I used to go through the same thing when I was light enough to go horseback riding. Too long of a break in between rides and your legs really felt it when you got back on there. I can't wait until I feel light enough to attempt riding again. I miss it!

Glad you got in a nice run. Sounds like you're really working hard. Hope you enjoyed some relaxation. :)

I know what you mean I rode my horse the other day with my wife the next day and my legs were killing me. But today I had no energy at all for some reason don't know if it was just my body saying no since I have been pushing so hard or just one if those days. And I ate a little to much at lunch I feel icky. But tomorrow I'm biking again to work and hoping it will be better

Ok, I'm officially jealous! You have a horse? That's one of the few dreams I have in life. To actually live out in the country and own my own horse. I just adore them! :)

Hope your bike ride went well.

I totally understand that sore feeling if you haven't ridden for a while especially if it is a full day of riding or more :)

Between the wife and I we have 3. Two of them are mine and I brought hers down from Canada when she moved to the states. We have an arab a no color paint and hers is a quarter horse. She gives lessons and trains. I use to train as well but I couldn't keep steady enough work to support myself. So now I just go out for the occasional ride with her. Now that the weather is getting better we will be riding more. But my ride went good. I took it nice and easy. Don't know why but just haven't had the energy to push myself. I did much better today with my workout but I could tell I was not giving it my all. Tomorrow is a relief day so if it is nice after work I plan in putting 15 or so miles on the bike. Then coming home and doing relief. It is all stretching. Then Thursday is game day. It's a hour long asylum workout. I'm nervous for that one.

Hmmm... so you and your wife have 3 horses. Can I take the 3rd one for a ride?! LOL Seriously, that's awesome and I really am jealous. Especially since you have an Arabian. Those are my favorites. My aunt had one named Chanti that I used to ride. My favorite at the time was a Morgan named Blaze though. He was a dream horse. I miss them so much!

Good luck with your asylum workout. Sounds like it'll be a challenge, but I'm sure you'll get through it with no problem! :)

The Arab is my oldest horse. He has cushings. And can not be ridden right now. But slowly getting better. Hope to be able to ride him soon. It's been hard to see him get this bad. Him and I have been through a lot. And thanks I'm sure I will be able to get through. Today is just relief. I'm looking forward to it.

Completely understand! I don't have horses, but I have dogs and watching them deal "old doggie issues" can be pretty heartbreaking. :(

Is today Asylum day? Hope it goes well!

Yes it can. He is doing much better now that it is spring time.

And yes today is game day. It's a 60 min workout. And I have no idea what it has in store for me. I'm nervous and excited. I'm feeling great and ready for a great workout.

The workout went very good. Nothing like I was expecting but it was an enjoyable. Lots of different challenging moves. And so far I'm just a week and a half into asylum and have lost 4 lbs so far.
