So after being at uni for nearly a year and packing on nearly 16 kilos and loosing only about 4 kilos of that, its time to loose it for summer so I can go back to being able to fit all my clothes.

So my start weight now is 73kgs and my goal is 63kgs. I want to loose a kilo a week for 10 weeks, which will take me up to the end of my uni year and then hopefully during the summer I can loose the couple of extra kilos to get back down to where I was before.

I intent to do this by going for a 20 min run/walk every morning. I'm going to run around the field by my hostel, which is two football fields put together. To start with I plan to run two sides and walk two sides and eventually I hope to increase that so I can run the whole perimeter non-stop.

I'm also cutting out the following:
Lollies, Chocolate, Chips, Biscuits, Fizzy drink, Takeaways.
Being in a hostel it is very difficult to control what I eat but I plan to fill up on breakfast and then have smaller meals or snacks through the day. Ill skip bad hostel meals such as "Fatty Friday" and buy fruit and carrots and dried fruit and nuts to snack on. And maybe the odd muesli bar.

I would appreciate any support in my quest to loose 10 kgs in 10 weeks! I love reading everyones weight loss journeys as they are so inspiring!

What are your three favorite restaurants? I actually prefer cooking to going out.
What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food? Cut back on sugar, eat smaller portions, drink water before meals
If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different? I'd be the same weight and size I was this time last year.

Do you hide your food or eat in secret? Well I eat in my hostel room.

Do you have rewards for certain goals? Not yet.
 
I went for a run this morning. At 7.30am before lectures. It was drizzling and the ground was soggy, but I feel good afterwards. I am now covered in md and rain but its nothing a shower can't cure, when one of the other girls gets OUT of it! Im also playing indoor netball tonight.. Its intense but loads of fun.

So now all I need to watch is my food intake! Also does anyone know if its better to exercise before or after befreakfast in the morning?

I have also been thinking of exercises I can do in my room if it gets and wetter/soggier than it is now. Any ideas? I wish I had brought my pilates DVD from home, that would have been perfect.
 
So far today is going well. I ended missing breakfast, thanks to certain person in shower before me, so I had a muesli bar. Their new Nice and Nautural bars and they only have 3.5g of fat and 121 calories. I have 4 pieces of sushi for lunch and am snacking on yoghurt coated raisin. I know their not very healthy but they taste good! Im not sure how much water I'm meant to drink but have had about 500mls so far.

The only thing is my ankle really hurts now when I walk from my run this morning. I really hope it gets better so I can play netball tonight. I don't want a bad ankle to ruin my weight loss!
 
Ok, I admit I ate two more muesli bars and the rest of the yog coated raisins when I got home. But it was a hard day. Better tomorrow.
 
Oh dear I was doing so well today and then Mum sent me some food.

I had a muesli bar, a latte with trim milk and one sugar, 1/4 serving of curly fries, half a vege wrap.

But now I've also have 2 rows of dark choc.

Ans she also sent me cans of L&P (Fizzy drink) which I hope to get rid of. And two packets of muesli bars, which will help when I miss a meal.

And knowing me ill probably finish the rest of the choc block tonight. Oh dear. It was all going so well...

Ohhh jeez... I did the same thing today! All my calories were going pretty well, and then I got off work, was a bit hungry, and ate like 10 strawberry newtons and some goldfish. Ugggh. Now I'm WAY over my calories, lol. Ahh, never a happy medium. Anyway, just keep the mantra that tomorrow will be better :) never give up, fershur.
Your plan seems like a good one. I'm very jealous that you can get up in the morning and workout. You stay so much more awake thru the day that way... I really need to try and get into that kinda schedule.

Hey, thanks for stopping by! I have to admit my alarm did go off at 7am this morning but I didn't get up! So I might have to run this avo.

My morning has just been terrible. 2 words. Flash Actionscript.

So 2 muesli bars and a can of L&P later I'm nearly ready to start my day.
 
Lets just say it didn't get any better last night. I broke practically all my rules. After my 3 hours afternoon lab I brought a pie, pistactio (I have no idea how to spell that) nuts and yoghruts coated raisins. I put on a movie and ate through all of that plus three more muesli bars. Then I went and brought takeaway wegdes and lollies and chocolate milk. So after eating untill I couldn't possible eat anymore and two movies and 2900 calories for the day later you can imagine how I feel. There goes my list of foods Icut out, my not eating after 6 rules and my calorie count. And today I feel tired, bloated and pretty well disgusted with myself. And for some reason it feels good to write that all down. Maybe next time I'll remember that everything I eat will go here and I'll stop.
But for now I;ve got alot of work to do.
 
Today I got up and hopefully started my running regime again. It felt good even though I feel very tired now. The field I run around is really wet. Theres a good 2 or 3 inches of water to run through. It makes it difficult.

Yesterday I ate muesli bars and 3 plums and some cashew nuts.
 
Well since I'm waitng for the shower AGAIN I'll write down a few things I miss about being 59kgs.

People saying they wish they could have my body.
Not having to worry if my stomach stuck out undermeath my tshirt cause I didn't have one.
Not having to spend 15 minutes everyday checking for rolls made by bra-straps.
Only being able to wear one pair of my jeans because the others don/t fit. (And I refuse to buy bigger ones)
Being able to wear short shorts everyday.
Being able to buy clothes without trying them on because I knew they would fit.
Being able to wear tight tops and short shorts / skirts because my body looked good in them.
Being able to wear a bikini and look good in it.
People saying they were jelous of my thiness.
Being the one chosen to go on top of the human pyramid becuase I was the smallest.
Having guys stare at me all the time. (Lol)
Wearing shorts and skinny jeans instead of trackpants and fat jeans.
Wearing tight tshirts instead of baggy ones.
Wearing cardigans instead of big jackets that cover me up.
Being able to have the odd pig out without worrying about getting fat.
Being confident about how I look.
Not having a roll of fat sticking out when I sit down.
Not having to constantly udjust my clothes so there are no rolls of fat.
Wearing cute little dresses to partys and balls.
Always having several guys hot on me everytime I went out. (Actually I don't miss that)
Having better defined cheekbones as there was less fat on my face.
Not feeling I had to pile on makeup to look good.
Finding that sometimes I needed a size 6 instead of an 8.
Going shopping all the time with friends.
Being smaller or the same size than all my friends.
The clothes I could wear back then.
Feeling healthier and fitter.
Having a toned body.
Looking like I did in my old photos.

Well that was a bit of a rant. But I guess its things to think about and to encourage me. And its also for you guys. This is how you feel when you are skinny!
 
Thats not a rant, thats motivation!! You're doing a great job, keep up that work and you'll get to you pre weight soon enough. Hope the rest of your day is going well :)

I just came back from netball practise. Its about a 15min walk to the courts and then practise so thats a fair bit of exercise plus my run this morning. Apart from feeling hot and sweaty (and needing another shower) I feel really good. Ankle isn't giving too much pain anymore.

So far I have eaten a muesli bar, a plum and some cashews. I don't even feel that hungry. So its off to church for me now and then I'll have to try and skip our after church get togethers as their always at a takeaway place, or I'll find a healthy choice. Maybe a fillet-o-fish from mc donalds. I mean hey their not that healthy but al least their a weight watchers meal!
 
Well it was a Fillet-O-Fish and a small choc shake for dinner. Ok not great, but not terrible either. :D

your allowed a treat every now and then, dont deny yourself something completely as when you break youll break really bad.

Just use today as motivation for hitting the track harder tomorrow.

Just finished my run/walk. I did 4 laps of the two football field sized track. I ran 2 sides then walked 1 then ran two. etc. So thats a lap more than I did yesterday.

Ok I've just done my weight and measure,entsfor the week. And I am SOOO confused!

Im up a whole kg on last week. Which is actually not surprising since my week didn't go very well at all. But my measurements are so confusing.

Bust: was 97cm - now 96cm (target = 90cm - 6cm to go)
Under Bust: was 81cm - now 80 cm (target = 74cm - 6cm to go)
Waist: was 78cm - now 75cm (target 65cm - 10cm to go)
Hip: was 97cm - now 95.5cm (target 89 cm - 6.5cm to go)
But: was 108cm - now 106cm (target 98cm - 8 cm to go)
Top of thigh: was 64cm - now 63cm (target 58cm - 5cm to go)


So I pretty much lost a cm everywhere yet I'm a kg heavier... how is this possible!!!
 
Went for my run this morning. Although it was shorter than normal but thats ok cause I have netball tonight. Calorie intake yesterday: 1300. Don't have time to write what I ate!
 
Its amazing how much I've eaten today and how little calories it all was.
I had:
1/4 Caramel Slice 76 cal
5 Roasted Salted Almonds 61 cal
5 Winegums 64 cal
1 Salmon Sushi 20 cal
1 Avocado Sushi 13 cal
1 Spicy Salmon Sushi 80 cal
1 Caffe Latte - Med sized with Nonfat milk 105 cal
1 tsp Sugars 16 cal
1 SuperFruit Mueslibar 121 cal
Total Calories Consumed 556

Thats only like a 1/4 of my intake yet I'm not even hungry!

Netball tonight too.
