Jess - The road to happiness and health :)

It's weigh in day today, lost another 0.5kg. Oh yeah! I'm getting closer!!! That means I am 67 kg's or 147 pounds. Sweeeeet :coolgleamA:

Het Tigs, thank you so much for keeping up with me :grouphug: Yep I think this week's been pretty good - we're getting into a good routine with the kids and work has been great :) It sounds so lame but I just feel so good be BE a working Mum. It's definitely a challenge to keep on track of the kids things like homework, swimming lessons, after school sport and my daughter does keyboard lessons too.

I've been really healthy with food choices still, I'm taking salad wraps for lunch and haven't broken my diet once since I started. I really have no interest in junk food at all anymore and I am honestly never even tempted. I think in the back of my mind it's always there now that junk food = unhappiness for me. I have never felt better in my life I don't think! I haven't been exercising though :( however I wore a pedometer to work a few days and on average I walk 4km every day while working! That's outrageous! So at least I'm burning some calories while I'm there lol. My goal for next week is to exercise at least 4 days, even just for 1/2 an hour.

Thanks so much Lisa :) I still have a fair bit of work to do though...! Guess it will be a work in progress forever hey! Lol

Tik - Thank heaps! OMG I can't wait for the boots to arrive. Bring them on! They should turn up in the next week or so (coming from Scotland).

Thanks so much Kelly, Zera and Ecky :Angel_anim:

Annagail - hope you're sister's foot heals quickly - I broke mine a couple of years ago and it sucked! I couldn't drive or ride for weeks :( Hope you did take some lettuce lol

Hey Jess!

You walk 4km at work, which is 2.5 miles?! Now you're making me curious about how much I walk around at work.

I have to agree with the others, you look amazing! I can definitely see the loss from the pictures you posted from your vacation and the ones now. You've lost 46lbs, which is such a huge feat!!!

You're doing an amazing job girl!

That's so awesome you adjusted into the working routine so quickly! Most people would be complaining about being tired and packing lunches and you are so positive about it - it's great to hear. I also love it that you don't even crave junk anymore. That would be a dream come true for me. I guess I've never had enough will power to keep it out of my system for long enough to forget what it tastes like. I need to remember the negative feelings I have after and just say no.
Your doing so great Jess! I'm so proud and a little jealous ;) Keep it up!!

Hey Jess!!! How are ya? Sorry I haven't been posting in your journal! So you've been walking at work? That's great!! Good way to burn some calories and not waste time! =) How are the eats coming along?

The pictures look great Jess - you have done a fantastic job and I'm so chuffed that you are nearing the end of the whole weight loss journey with a massive lifestyle change and junk food is a distant memory!! Glad to hear that the job is going well - that could have a been a huge stress going back after 9 years of stay at home, but you hopped right on in there and tackled it so WELL DONE!!

Woo! It's weigh in day and I've lost another 0.5kg. Not much again, it's really slowing down now but it's all good. I'll keep plodding on :)

Another busy week, but everything's been great. I've been having chicken and salad wraps every day for lunch and fruit for breakfast with a small dinner of veg etc.
I finally fell off the wagon for the first time last night though, I had 2 big spoonfuls of chocolate spread out of the jar (my son was eating it and asked if I wanted to try it and I just said yes for some reason)! It's all good though, no damage done - and my son was stoked to see me eat something chocolatey he said. We used to eat chocky together a fair bit when I was big. I didn't realise he missed it...

I only have 2.5kg till my goal now! Yay! :hurray::hurray:

jjJay thanks so much for your words, they mean a lot to me dude! Yeah I hadn't realised how big a thing it was until lots of people kept mentioning it! I seem to have just slipped in wth no fuss, so I'm really glad and so relieved.

Hey soccerrox - thanks for coming over :) food's been pretty boring but yum and healthy :) Lots of salad and veggies and marinated chook breast with onion.

Lisa, thank you so much <3 yeah I think that's what helped me, just trying to remember that junk food = depression in the long run for me. I also keep buying cool clothes to keep me motivated. Just a top or jeans here and there (mostly on eBay second hand).

My hubby and I are home alone tonight, which has only happened once before since we had them. My stepson and his girlfriend are having Cate and Joel over for a sleepover so that will be a nice break - I wanted to go and do something but hubby just wants to stay home and watch a movie or something :( We do that every night just about... Not to worry, it will still be nice to not have to do dinner and baths etc :) and the kids will have so much fun over there too.

You are doing so well managing to stay totally on track while changing your job and routine. :)
I can hardly believe how much younger you look in those last 2 photos!!!!

Oh bless ya Ecky! We visited my elderly uncle last month who I hadn't seen in 5 years and he said I looked 10 years younger! Must be because I'm so darn hydrated these days!!!

Just wanted to put a couple of pics on from today, I bought these awesome jeans and really feel good in them :)
Size 12 jeans and size 10 tops! Holy crap I don't recognise myself anymore :D

Thanks for visiting my diary. Congrats on your weightloss, you look great. I remember being in the 60's it seems so long ago now, hopefully i'll be back one day. Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Thanks so much mate :)
You'll do it - you're on track now!

Hey mate! How's it going? Hope life's treating you well! lol :biggrinjester:
Howdy dude! Things are pretty good here thanks! I'm busy getting ready for my son's birthday now, he'll be turning 7 on the 10th March. We're having a big party for him and he picked out a chocky mud cake with Ben 10 on it so that's all ordered and ready to go :) It'll be nice to dress up a bit and not hide in a corner this year :smilielol5:

Life is simple, but good right now! Just waiting for my hot boots to arrive... still!!! Hopefully next week.

GUUURL!!! you are looking great!!!! You really do look amazing, and it's so great that you're feeling happy, positive, and wonderful about your change!! Congrats again on seeing all your hard work pay off! It's stories like yours that let us newbies know we're making a good choice!!!!!

Work that stuff hot thang :)

PS: Love the shoes!! LOVE THEM!!

You STILL don't have your sexy boots yet??!?!?! What's up with that???

That chocolate mud cake sounds WAY too tempting! I dread this time of year because all my kids and hubby have their birthdays within 3 months of each other. And because the weather doesn't usually cooperate this time of year around here we end up having just a family party (with cake of course) then another one with extended family family and friends later on (with more cake). I ever tell you how much I like cake? :drool5: I'll be lucky if I can just maintain for the next few months!

Have a great week, hon!

Hey Tigs! I know, chocolate/choc mud cake is my kryptonite! I'll just say no though... :) It is a proffesional one too, so tasty *droooooooool*
That's harsh having them all so close together! You must be broke for months lol
Hope you can keep away from it Tigs :p

Hey good news, the boots arrived last night! So stoked with them, I can walk fine in them and they make me feel so 'ladylike' :) I was struggling a bit a couple of days ago and nearly ate things I shouldn't, so they came at the perfect time to inspire me to keep on going. Also I was worried my calves would be too fat for them (they're just under the knee) but they're fine and I could even wear them with skinny jeans inside I reckon. So stoked, and I really feel I deserved the boots too, so no guilt about buying them whatsoever!!!

You look great Jess. I've been wearing jeans for the first time in aoubt 20 years and love it.
I'm glad that your boots finally arrived. Post a photo of you in them for us to see. :)
