Jess - The road to happiness and health :)

:hurray: No ugly blouse! Congrats on the new job! Hope you have fun at it!

Don't you just hate the feeling of sweat running between your boobs? It always gives me the heebie jeebies cuz it feels like bugs walking on me. YUCK!

Congrats on the new job Jess - lets hope the new uniform is SMOKIN' heheheh!! I bet with that fantastic weight loss you'll look great in it - with stuff like that I always shudder and think OMG how bad would I have looked before I lost all this weight >!>!?

Just accept the compliments - it feels akward because we are all so used to hating the way we look and feeling so bad about ourselves. That IS NOT the future! Get used to it!

Hey Tik, thanks heaps! Yeah we're so lucky with our house having a big back yard -I'm loving the veggie garden. Our cherry tomatoes are divine, and actually taste like tomatoes unlike the ones you buy from Coles :drool5: I think the fresh organic veggies have been great for the whole family too, but especially for my 'fresh' foods diet.

Hey Anna, our pumps are Kent and Jap - yummo! We still have a few out ripening too :) Lol about the blouse - although I hadn't thought about the replacement! What if it's worse? Nooooooooooo! Ha ha

Gohomejes - thanks so much for popping in mate, it doesn't really even register until someone says it - 19 kg's I mean. Thanks a lot, that means so much to me :)

Hey Tigs, YES! It's so gross :leaving:
Thanks so much, yep the job is hard work, but I love it :)

Hey jjjJay - Thanks so much :Angel_anim: Hope it is too! Hey I don't think I could have even got the job let alone DONE it at 19kg's heavier... Hell yeah I would have looked hideous! Thanks mate, I'm trying to be more confident, I can't help but feeling like it's a dream sometimes though, or like it's just too good to be true...

I had my second day today, and everyone said I was doing great and they were impressed with my work. So nice to hear a bit of positive feedback :) It's very busy and I never stop moving, and at the end of the day I'm knackered but I feel like I've done something good for my family, and don't feel like a bum anymore.

I have no idea how I'm going to exercise as well as work 9 to 5, during the week. Maybe once I get more settled into a routine with the kids going to school etc I might get up earlier because I'm too tired at night. Massive cudos to all you guys that work and workout every day - you're AWESOME!

Food has been shocking the last few days (just not enough, nothing bad or anything) so I need to organise my time a lot better. I'm whipping up a plum chicken stirfry tonight so I can have it for the next few days. All I've had is salad and nuts for a few days but I have been having oats for brekky.

Weigh in day today :)
Only lost 0.5kg though. But that's good for me! Guess now I'm nearing my goal things will slow down a lot. So now I'm 68.5kg's or 151 pounds.
Just a quick post, off to work again this morning, and apparently Saturday's the busiest day at work so hopefully things will go well. My poor old body is pretty sore after the past 2 days - looking forward to a day off tomorrow and some swimming and movies/video games with the kids. Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

So glad your new job is going well! I remember when I first started working full time I dropped everything else in my life because I thought I just didn't have time for it. And I didn't even have kids back then! Once you get used to and get into a routine, you find you really do have time to do lots of other stuff.

You just have to prioritize what is important to you. My house may not be the cleanest in the world all the time, and the laundry may not all be put away, but I make sure we have healthy meals, spend time together, and lately I make sure to take some me time and work out.

You'll get the hang of it!

Thanks Tigs xx
I think it is a snifter overwhelming at first, but as you said, I'll get there.
I got home yesterday arvo after work and hubby had cleaned the ENTIRE house. He did the bathroom, vacced and mopped (with eucalyptus oil, my fav), cleaned the fish tank, washed the cushions and curtains, dusted, changed all the bed clothes, did the washing, bought flea stuff for the cats, washed the clothes and put them away. I love him so much - what an awesome surprise. Ladies, if you find a domesticated one, KEEP HIM!!! Lol :)

Day off today, we have to do some shopping and what not. Not stressing about exercise today. Next week is my first full week, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5.

Wow jess Congrats on all of your success. Losing .5k is still a lot, especially when you just have less than 10 lbs to go before you reach your weight loss goal. You must be so proud of yourself. :)

:cheers2:

Goodness! What a sweetie your hubby is for doing all that cleaning! Do you think you could have him talk to my hubby? If my hubby were to do ANY cleaning around the house at all I think I'd have a heart attack from the shock!

Enjoy your day off!

Haven't seen you on in a while Jess... Things must be pretty hectic with the new job.

Hope that life is treating you well, even if you are super busy!

Hi Jess,

I've finally found time to pop back in here. Hopefully I'll get the interweb connected at home again next week, so I'll be on a bit more often.

How's the new job working out?

anna

Hey you guys - yeah things have been so busy the past week - I don't get much time for internetting anymore on a week day! This week has been so awesome. I think I've settled in well to the new job, the boss says he is very happy with me so I feel pretty confident. I did 38 hours this week, and it looks like I'll be a permanant 9 to 5 Monday to Friday from now on.

Going back to work after 9 years of being a 'stay at home Mum' is challenging, but just so rewarding. I was worried I'd be so rusty and I felt like I'd become really shy. Thanks to the weight loss though, I have gained so much more self esteem, and that has helped me no end. I feel like a legitimate human again, and I am so happy that I stayed home with the kids... it was so worth all the things we gave up financially. They've had an awesome start in life that you just can't buy.

I am now a size 10 to 12. I even have to return some size 12 tops I bought this week because they're TOO BIG!!! Lol can you imagine that?

Weigh in day was today, and I lost another kilo. Woot! The Wii fit gave me the best news ever too - I am now in my ideal weight range. I have gone from very obese to overweight, to ideal weight. That is really something! I'm proud of myself, and hubby has bought me some AWESOME Dr Martens (I am addicted to Dr Martens boots...) to celebrate, and also as a Valentine's pressie.
This is them:

Hey Anna, Thanks so much for coming over :)
Hope everything's going great with you, I'll pop in and visit your diary tonight!

You too Tigs, thanks so much for thinking of me xx

Thanks Zera, yeah any loss is always a good loss hey? :Angel_anim:

I've put a coupla photos on, the one in the green top is today and the black clothes is from Monday before work. I look terrible but thought I'd show a bit of progress. My thighs are still huge! Wish they'd shrink a little :cuss: My daughter ook the pics, so the quality is a tad seedy, but you'll get the general idea lol.

The kids went to a birthday party today and everyone kept mentioning my weight so I felt a bit uncomfortable again, but it was OK.

Looking good Jess!

"I am now in my ideal weight range. I have gone from very obese to overweight, to ideal weight. That is really something! I'm proud of myself"

That is simply amazing! All of your hard work has paid off.

Congratulations!!

Celebrate this moment, because you have really earned it. :)

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those boots!

And you are looking slimmer and slimmer all the time! I bet you feel awesome! And you thighs will get there eventually.

I know I wish I could spot shrink certain areas too, but unfortunately for us, we can't.

Have a great week!

Hi, yep everything is going great for me. My weight goes up and down until it decides to drop to the next level. I am going to stay a few days with my sister, who broke her foot this past week. I decided not to go until Monday, I will have to drive her to the doctor. My younger sister has been staying with her and they have been eating cake and ice cream, lol. I guess I better take a head of lettuce with me and stuff to fix my bean salad. heeee.

Nice pictures!!

Hey girl! How's it going? Are you getting adjusted to being a working mother yet? Have you been able to fit in healthy eating and exercise? Or are you still trying to get your feet under you yet?

Hope you had a great week!
