Thanks! :)

----------------------------------------------

I'm sitting here watching Chef play Wii Fit, and I actually kind of want to play. It looks fun! Maybe I'll play after he's done....Maybe. ;)

Another good day, food wise. I'm not really sure on calories, but I'm estimating at about 1600. I'm overestimating though, because we had homemade subs, and I'm not sure on all the calorie counts. So I'm erring on the side of caution, and going higher. Hopefully it's really not that bad.

I can't wait to get back down to where I was a few months ago, and then go down even more from there. My coat is tight, and I refuse to buy a new one. It's really bugging me. I feel like stuffed sausage. It's a reminder every day that I was a incredibly shitty for a long time. I can't wait for it to get loose again. It will happen though, just have to take it one day at a time. :)

Calories were good today. I'm going to have a little 150 calorie snack later. Just a little sugar free chocolate pudding with cool whip. I've been wanting it lately for some reason.

I did the wii fit last night. It's ...uh... harder than it looks. It was fun though. I learned that my balance is even worse than I thought it was. haha!

Not much else going on tonight. I'll probably stay up late and work. I was busy running my mom all over today, so I didn't get a chance to work earlier.

I hope everyone had a good day. :)

Update..since I can't edit my earlier post. I did the Wii Fit for 30 minutes tonight. Yesterday I did a lot of the yoga exercises. Today I tried out the games. I think I'll definitely be doing that on a regular basis. It's actually fun. I still want to do the treadmill though, and will start doing that next week or maybe this weekend. It's going to take a while to get back into the swing of things, but I feel pretty good. :)

I think I still want to get a wii. The grandkids would love it too & they don't have one.
Yay! Jen is back on track!

Making exercise fun? Sounds great to me! And chocolate pudding sounds delightful. And that reminds me that I bought a box of butterscotch pudding mix quite some time ago and never made it... Hmm, I wonder how important expiration dates are??

Things sound like they're going well for you, let's keep up that positive energy, alright? Alright!

Thanks guys! :) And Cate, the grandkids would love the Wii! I highly recommend it. So much fun!

Ok, today seriously tested me. I was good though! I honestly can't believe it, but I WAS. :hurray:

My daughter... just..... uuuuuuuuuuugh. She had exams yesterday, today, and has some tomorrow. She failed to even tell us about them. I had to find out on my own a few days ago. She's known about them for at least a couple WEEKS according to her teachers. She had multiple study guides available to her, and did she bring any of them home? Nope. Did she even tell us they existed? Nope. We've had to scramble around the last couple days and get the guides printed out, so she has something to study. What frustrates me the most is she's a smart kid, has mostly A's, but then does crap like this?! You know better, kid! o_O I don't know if we're going to survive middle school. haha!

But anyway... Food was good today. No exercise though.

I used to do that... ignore the problem until the last minute, that way you have a culprit if you fail. (Actually, I still do, sometimes). Your kid is not younger me, of course, but she probably does have a reason to (not) do what she does. Of course it would have been impossible for my parents not to know when we had tests because they came up in predictable patterns.

Oh, that was definitely a fail on both our parts. I definitely missed an email or something. I should also mention that the way I worded my last post made it sound like they had 3 full day of tests, but it was only 5 tests over 3 days, because of a snow day we had.

And she has a reason. It's the fact that her best friend basically lives across the street and she would much rather hang out with her friend after school than study or do homework. That's been a battle for about a year and a half, so it's nothing new. lol. She's also stubborn as heck. I don't know where she gets it from. :D Overall she's a great kid, and I don't have much to complain about, but there are days. lol!

I do have to say though, school from when I was in middle school and now is very different. I'll use art as an example. When I was in middle school, art was the nicknamed a bird course, because it was easy and you flew through it. It wasn't a big deal, especially in 6th grade. You did projects, you learned the color wheel, had a sketchbook, had some quizzes. It was pretty basic stuff. Today on the other hand, not so much. haha! Now they have to do their projects, photograph them when they're done... "with correct lighting and in front of a proper background", upload them to a website, crop and edit them, and then answer a bunch of in-depth questions. I get that art is much more digital now. I can even see doing a section on digital photography and graphic design, but for every project it seems a bit much, for that grade anyway. Their study guide just for ART was 28 pages long when I went to print it. Not even kidding. haha! 28 pages! Half of the stuff in the guide I didn't learn until high school. It's 6th grade art class. Relax. And that is coming from ME, an artist. lol!

And I won't even get started on how technology has changed. The majority of teacher/parent communication is sent via email or posted on facebook. A good portion of their work is done completely online at school, and she only has 1 textbook. I remember having to carry around a stack of them. She only has a science book. To her, all of that is completely normal, because it's what she has grown up with, but to me it still so weird.

Anywho... I have to go pick up kids, go to my mom's, and come home and work. Fun stuff! So far I have not eaten anything. Bad, I know. I'll eat a good lunch. :)

Well.. mom had homemade peanut butter cookies freshly out of the oven when I walked in. I didn't stand a chance. lol. I had a couple of cookies and a sandwich for lunch. Not the best, but I stopped myself at two, so I consider that a win. I think dinner is going to be pork chops, but I'm not positive on that. Pudding later for a snack.

I'll be weighing in on Monday probably. I weighed myself today and I was down a few pounds from the last time I weighed myself. But I also pigged out after that, so I really have no idea what I weighed to start with this week. So I'll count Monday as my first official weigh-in. I also have my weight from the Wii Fit, but I don't know how accurate that really is, so I'm going to stick to my scale for now.

If eating 2 cookies when you wanted them kept you from eating six later when you could no longer fight the temptation, I say that's a total win!

Thanks! :)

Well, I'd say this week was a big success. I didn't eat too much, cut back drastically on my snacking, and lost some weight. Can't really complain about that! :)

This next week I would like to add the treadmill into my routine. I'm not going to shoot for every day, because I know there's no chance in hell of that happening. I can, however, start with 3 days a week. That's my goal!

We managed to be pretty good this weekend. We splurged a little bit and had something yummy for dinner last night, but we kept our portions small, so it wasn't too bad.

I haven't really said what is motivating me this time around. I have a couple things that I would like to lose weight for this year. First I would like to have some family pictures taken this summer, and I don't want to worry about how I look in them. Another thing that I would like to lose weight for is a trip that we might be taking at the end of the year. It would involve a LOT of walking. I certainly wouldn't survive in my current physical state. :p

My only goal right now is to be down to 175 by Christmas. Short term goals ... I don't know. I hate making short term ones, because if I fail one, it throws me off track. So I think the only short one I will make is to be back down to 205 or below by my birthday, which is May 20th. That's about what I was 3 months ago at the wedding, so I think it's easily doable if I stay on track. :)

I hope everyone had a good weekend. :)

Ooo, exciting! And I agree on the short term goals, I don´t deal well with pressure, even I I cause it myself.

Yes, the trip will definitely be motivation! Hopefully things work out and we can go. :)

Today was a pretty good day. I ate well. I didn't do the treadmill though. I will do that tomorrow morning. I haven't really done much today. I dropped the kids off at school, did some drawing, cleaned a little, and then spent a fair chunk of the evening try to get an app I use for work to work on my phone. I finally got it working though, so now I have to work. *sigh* :(

In better news... Last week I finally finished this pain in the ass drawing that I've been working on for way too long. So I was able to start something new today! Yay for new drawings! :hurray:

(I blurred out my last name in the pic.)

Thanks, guys! I'm happy with how it turned out, and even happier that it's done. lol! :p

I have yet to get on the treadmill. I was going to do it yesterday morning, but then we ended up having a snow day, so the kids were home all day. As you can probably guess, the day did not go as planned. I did a few rounds of Just Dance on the Wii with my 12 year old last night. That was all I could take before collapsing on the couch, gasping for air. I'm pretty sure she picked the fastest ones, or at least that's what I'm telling myself. lol. It was fun though, we'll have to do it again.

Today has been pretty good. My calories are good and snacking has been very minimal.

I'm trying to drink more water. Chef bought these sparkling flavored waters at the store... love them! I have a really hard time drinking water, so those will have to do for now.

I feel back on track and in control of what I'm eating again.. finally. It feels good. :)
