I'll be back on Monday. I think I'm going to start cutting carbs again. I just feel so much better when I do that. I can tell I've been eating way too many the last couple weeks. My hips are killing me again. So back to low carb, at least for a little while.


I hope everyone is doing well! I obviously have a lot to catch up on. :)
 
Many congratulations on your marriage! We miss you a lot. Nice you are back. You look great both of you in the picture.

re: low carb - I have truly been thinking of that myself. I'm such a carb-o-holic. :( LOL

I have a hard time "sticking" w/it long term though...How long do you do it as a kick-start?

So, today I'm getting back on track. I've been eating pretty much whatever I've wanted the last few weeks(month? *hangs head in shame*), so I'm going to do baby steps over the next week. Today's goal was to not eat everything in my kitchen. So far so good! lol. Seriously though, I'm cutting back in general this week and also trying to cut back on unnecessary carbs. Also going to start drinking lots of water again. I got away from that the last few weeks, and I know that's not good, especially for my clotting issues. I did not weigh myself this morning, because...well... I'd rather not be depressed. :D Maybe after a couple weeks I'll be brave enough to hop on the scales, but not right now.

Next week I'll focus on cutting out more carbs and counting calories as well. I know calorie counting is key for me. If I don't do it, I'm hardly ever successful. So that is a must!

Exercise... "You need to exercise, Jen! yadda yadda yadda..." I know.. I KNOW. It's not happening this week though, so don't even bother trying. haha! :p

Hopefully I'll have time to catch up on diaries soon.

I have a hard time sticking with it for more than a couple weeks straight. I'm a carb-o-holic as well. After a couple of weeks I need a cheat meal or no one wants to live with me. haha! And welcome to the forum!

good effort, Slow and steady getting the diet back in order :)

as for the exercise, it can wait till the food side of things is sorted
 
Slow & steady is a good idea, as is staying off the scales for a little while. You can do it Jen. It's nice having you back xo Cate.

Just popping in for a quick minute while I have time. Yesterday went pretty good. Today is going good as well. I have a lot to do today, so I might be back later with a longer post... or not. Depends how much work I get done. I'm still in a good frame of mind about cutting back, but I'm also still craving stuff like mad. Ugh! One day at a time! Hopefully the cravings are not as bad by the end of the week. lol!
 
I almost never step on the scale the first week of re-starting...it is too depressing. I'm right here with you this week to only I got a late start. Congrats to you and Chef and the kids on becoming a family!!

So, tomorrow is Monday and I'm going to start counting calories and all that fun stuff again! I don't really want to, but I need to. Been super busy the last few days. Trying to catch up on work, still trying to unpack some stuff, lots of homework, last week of cross country for my daughter... the list goes on and on. lol! Hopefully this week is less stressful. :)

Ok, back to work... And in case anyone was wondering you can apparently watch videos of someone getting their nether regions bleached on YouTube. I don't get paid enough for this. Seriously I need a new job, people. Siiiiiiiiigh. haha!

What a job indeed. The mind boggles. You have such a busy life Jen, but you can do this. Calorie counting is a bugger, but is so necessary for me anyway. How's chef doing with his weight? Lots of love to you both, xoxo Cate
 
Well....I ...uh... obviously did not get back on track. I've been sucking pretty hard at that lately. Lots of stuff going on. Mostly me being in a funky mood. I've been eating better the last few days, but my anxiety is really high right now. I won't go into it all, but lots of things on my mind lately.

Hoping for a good day tomorrow, and also for this chest cold to go away. I hate being sick. yuck.

Well I'm still sick. It isn't as bad as it was, but I still have a cough that's lingering. Hopefully it goes away soon, because I'm not sleeping very well at all.

Wednesday I was pretty good. Yesterday was Thanksgiving. I actually didn't do too bad until the pie came out. It was downhill from there. lol.

Oh well. One day at a time.


One little bit of good news... Found out yesterday my brother is coming up for a visit. Should be fun! He was just up last month for my wedding, so I thought for sure I probably wouldn't see him for at least another year or two. So it's a pleasant surprise. :)
 
Coughing is exhausting. Thanksgiving is just one day(?) Jen & it's done & dusted for another year. That's nice that your brother is returning for another visit so soon. Get well soon Jen. Lots of TLC & good healthy fruit & veg required, xoxo Cate. PS Please say hi to Mr Jen ;)
 
Merry Christmas Jen (and by default Chef since I'm not going to dig up his diary...he's been gone for like...ever). I hope your next year is fucking awesome and filled with awesome shit and huge love!!!
