Was 213.4 on the scale this morning. Hopefully I see a bigger drop tomorrow.

Before pictures are done and in my album. I purposely wore one of my smaller shirts so that I can see the difference easier in future pics. I remembered the pics I took around 250 or so I was wearing a baggy shirt, so it was hard to tell the difference months later when I had lost 20 or 30 lbs. I learned from my mistake on that one! I took a couple pics though, and will take them again in a month or so. Hopefully I'll see a change! I don't care if I have to squint to see it, but something would be nice. lol! I'm hoping by May that shirt is really baggy!

Calories for today were a hair over 1300. I had a small snack tonight. I wanted a bigger one(because I had the calories for it), but didn't want to go heavy on the carbs. Chef's stopping at the store to get more low carb snacks tomorrow. Day 13 of no pop. Treadmill tomorrow.
 
213.4 again today. The scale is being stubborn. *shrugs*

Today is day 14 of no pop. I didn't do too well on the water yesterday. I need to drink more today. I also NEED an apple fritter with a huge mug of hot cocoa.... NOOOO! I can't have that! I don't need it, but I want it. I want it BAD. *Sigh* This sucks. lol!
 
Hey Gen

Glad to you see you back on here full time and working hard, very motivating!!! If you attempt drinking a pop after a month you won't like it as much. I did a year with out and then drank some not even worth the calories (not a fan of sweetners )
 
Just for the record, she's doing amazing with this 30-day challenge. Not only has she not had pop in 14 days, she's also been getting on the treadmill every other day too. Just because the scale isn't showing plummeting numbers doesn't mean she hasn't been working hard...because she has been.

Good job, honey. Only 15 more days to go!!!

Treadmill is done for the night. My calories should be around 1350 after I'm done with my snack. I ate pretty low in carbs today, so I'm happy about that.

213.6 this morning.

I had a doctor appt. today after I dropped the kids off at school. I went to ask about the irregular heartbeat I've been having consistently for about 3 weeks. It's often all day long, and it doesn't matter what I'm doing. It goes ...."thump..thump..thump..thump..thump.............THUMP" over and over. I know I had damage to the right side of my heart from the embolism, and I've had the irregular heartbeat pretty much since I had the embolism, but it has definitely gotten worse in the last 3 weeks. Soooooooo.. I'm currently hooked up to a heart monitor that I have to wear until tomorrow around 10am. Super fun! ugh! I wouldn't mind it so much if you didn't have to write down everything you do. That's annoying.

Food has been good. Calories are on track. Today is day 15 of no pop.
 
Hi Jen. An irregular heart-beat? That's something else we have in common. Mine goes...thump.. thump...thump...................THUMP! It feels like a jump start when it kicks back in. The cardio didn't seem too worried. Day 15 without pop! WELL DONE YOU!!!!
 
Sorry to hear about your heart issues. That's got to be a bit of a bummer. Hope it isn't anything serious.
Well done on going so long with no pop! You're doing so well and it's all good positive steps :D Keep it up

211.6 this morning! :D

So happy to be rid of that heart monitor. I just went and dropped it off at the lab. Not sure when I'll get the results back, but hopefully it's not too long.

I'm going out to lunch with a couple of my friends in a little bit here. I have to remember to not order pop! Last time Chef and I went out to eat I started to order a diet coke out of habit. So, hopefully I remember this time. I also hope they have some sort of lower calorie option. The restaurant we're going to is just a small local restaurant though, so I'm not too hopeful on that. lol.

Today is day 16 of no pop. I feel pretty darn good about that. Treadmill tonight. Will also try to catch up on journals tonight.

Nice drop Jen! 2 pounds?! WOW!

Sorry to hear about your heart issues. They haven't restricted you on the cardio until they get results? I suppose that's a good sign of it not being an urgent issue.
 
Congrats on 16 days of no pop. Amazing how much of a difference that alone makes. That was actually my first goal in losing weight and it really got the momentum and motivation going.

Treadmill is done. I'm ending the night at 1334 calories.

Lunch with the girls was fun. I ended up having a roast turkey melt. Probably not the best choice, and it will probably show on the scale tomorrow, but oh well. It was worth it! :)

Tomorrow I will be dropping my car off at the mechanic to get my seat belt fixed! :hurray: This may be really dorky and sad, but I'm genuinely excited to get it fixed! It's been giving me problems for a long time, and having a seat belt that works every time will be like a luxury to me. lol!

Note to myself: I need to rearrange my exercise playlist.
 
Well done on the loss and STILL no pop! You're doing so well! Before long you'll forget all about it and it won't even feel like you're avoiding it, it will just be habit :)

Lunch out is always a little 'daunting' when you're watching your diet. However it is part of life for most people, you can't avoid eating out forever. It's necessary to learn how to balance the rest of your diet around whatever food you eat when you're out. So...in a way....eating out is all part of good diet practice ;) Turkey melt sounds yummy!
 
When i can't avoid eating out even a tost i always end up with gaining a little weight. Maybe because i think that i have eaten out little so i continue eating at home. Probably when i am eating out i should consider that as a meal that replaces the meal at home.
 
Thanks, Lou Lou and ABY! I'm no stranger to eating out and losing weight. I just have to get back into the swing of things. It's a pain, but it's going to happen, so I just have to deal with it.. lol!

212.4 this morning. Was expecting that after yesterday. My calories were good yesterday. I had to estimate on calories from lunch, but I estimated on the higher side to be safe. Hopefully it's just water and I'll drop back down tomorrow. Day 17 of no pop.

Going to be picking up my car in a minute here!
 
211.0 this morning.

My goal for the October challenge is 209 by Friday. Hopefully I can do that.

Today is day 18 of no pop, and also a treadmill day. Not sure what's for dinner yet tonight, but I'm going to try for something low carb.
