Thanks, MrVee and Lou Lou!

209.2 this morning. My calories have been great the last few days. Chef and I are going out to dinner tonight, so I'm eating light today and saving calories for later.

We had a funny convo over dinner last night. Chef made his version of Alice Springs Chicken from Outback, which is one of my favorite things. We were discussing how good it was when he turned and said...

"Be HONEST, if you were ever thinking about breaking up with me, would something you'd consider staying for be the...."

"Yes" (I didn't even let him finish..lol)

"So, you'd be like... God he really pisses me off, but I'd really miss the food?"

"YEP, don't even have to think about it"

:smilielol5: Like I'm giving up a personal chef. :p

Aaaanywho... dinner tonight is to celebrate Sweetest Day and for putting up with each other for 4 years now. lol! We're also going to start buying some Christmas stuff for the kids while we're out. :) I'll catch up on diaries at some point this weekend!

That's why I became a chef in the first place...to use as a bargaining chip in relationships.

"Well, honey, it's up to you. You can give me a strip tease ooooor I can suddenly not be in the mood to make chicken fettuccine alfredo. Hmm, that's what I thought. Now, go put this on (throws trashy lingerie at her). I'll be waiting in the bedroom."

Ahh, the benefit of mastering the culinary arts.

Thanks, everyone!!! :)

208.6 this morning.
Had a great day out yesterday. We got a lot of walking in, had a great dinner, and bought several things for Halloween and Christmas. I also bought a new outfit! That's a reward for completing our pop challenge. It's not over yet, but will be in a few days. We don't get to the mall that often, so figured I'd get it sooner rather than later. :)

Chef's watching football all afternoon, so I'm going to try and get my work and treadmill done during that. First I have to redo the playlist on my iTouch though. Can't wait to get a Shuffle. I think if I have at least a 5 lb loss during November, I'll get one.

Oh, and I have to go to my mom's today too. She apparently managed to explode a glass pan all over her kitchen, and I get to dig glass out of her tile. So that'll be something fun for me to do today.

Hi jen! Just dropping by on your journal. Wow you made it! :) from 290 lbs down to 208.6! what an achievement! You are really doing great. what is your outfit for this coming halloween? :hurray:

Thanks, everyone!!! :)

208.6 this morning.
Had a great day out .

Thanks, Serge! :)

Maganda- Thank you... and the outfit I bought wasn't for Halloween, just a regular one. I got a new pair of pants and a cozy gray sweater. Love it! :)

I did the treadmill earlier, so that's done. Calories for the day are around 1400, I think? Chef made a casserole type thing for dinner, so it was hard judging the calories on it. If anything I probably estimated higher than it actually was.

I was thinking about my goal weights for the rest of the year and what rewards should go with them....

October 31st- 205 lbs Reward: New outfit
November 30th- 200 lbs Reward: iShuffle
January 1st- 199 lbs Reward: Fitbit or new exercise clothes (whichever I want more at the time)

I really hope to be under 200 lbs before January, but I'm keeping it realistic through December just in case. After January my goals will not only be about weight, but exercise too. Chef and I are going to get a gym membership again. :) The rewards will probably be clothes. I'm seriously lacking in clothes. I have a few things that are in my closet that are too small, and a bunch of stuff that is about 3 sizes too big. I went for so long wearing baggy stuff and then finally broke down and bought a few new things, and then I gained back like 20 lbs. So I'm back to wearing all the baggy stuff again. The few smaller things I have will fit comfortably in another 15 lbs or so, but I'll still need more clothes. I'm tired of wearing clothes that don't fit!

Jen - oops sorry. :) i thought its for halloween. :D what is your reward for december? Me too im super tired od wearing and buying clothes that dont fit! I wish im losing but im gaining weight! :D

209.2 this morning. The upward tick on the scale could be from a couple things... I had some carbs yesterday, including bread, and I also started my TOM. So I'm expecting to go up a little bit from bloating and all that fun stuff. I always do, and then I have a nice drop when it's over. I probably won't even bother weighing in again until Friday, because it won't be anywhere close to accurate until after my TOM is gone.

I've been awake since about 5:30, which means I got about 5 hours of sleep. I woke up from a pain going up and down my leg, most likely from the damage done by the blood clots that caused my pulmonary embolism. I can't lay the way I like anymore. If I get into that position while I'm sleeping, I always wake up in pain. After I straighten my legs out the pain eventually goes away, but by the time that happens I'm awake. It's pretty much an every night occurrence now. I'm getting tired of it. ugh.

Today is day 27 of the no pop challenge. No treadmill today.

I decided not to do a reward for December since I'm going to have one right at the beginning of January. I'll do one at the end of January though, and then continue doing them at then end of the month until I reach my goal in May. :)

are you having a leg cramps?

I know this is not the answer you want to hear, but...let go of how you USED to sleep.

When I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and had to wear a CPAP mask while I slept, I could no longer sleep how I liked. I had to change positions because I was wearing the mask. And, it sucked at first because all I could think of was, "This is uncomfortable - I can't lay how I like." But, after a while, you get used to it. And, you realize how much better you sleep in the position you once thought was uncomfortable.

Don't fight it. Just do it.

MrVee- I haven't talked to him about it yet. If it keeps being a problem though, I definitely will.

Maganda- My legs aren't cramping, it's more of a shooting type pain that goes up and down my leg in a thin line. It's very annoying, but life goes on. :)

Chef- I go to sleep in the right position. I can't control what I do in my sleep though, so I end up getting in the wrong position and waking up. Not much I can really do about that, short of sleeping in leg braces or something. Picture it... you in your cpap....me in my leg braces... sexy! ;)

So far my calories are on track for the day. I'm at around 1100 right now, but I'm going to have a snack in a little bit here. Today was day 27 of the 30 day no pop challenge. Tomorrow is a treadmill day. Chef's taking the kids to school in the morning, so hopefully I get a good nights sleep tonight. I have to get up in the morning and go get my blood drawn to have my INR tested again. My fingers are crossed that it's good again! If it's between 2 and 3 he'll probably let me go another month without being tested. I would love that! :)

I struggled with having back pain that woke me from moving in my sleep when my back/sciatica were bad. Almost any movement could do it. What I found was that it decreased in time. I think my body started to avoid moving while I slept. I started waking up in the same position that I fell asleep in which was unheard of before and since the back has felt better I move around again. Hopefully your body will catch on too.

Nice job on staying off the pop Jen! Question for you: now that you're close to 30 days without, do you have any cravings to drink it? Or has any desire slowly decreased over the weeks?

Q- I really hope it catches up soon..lol

Rhunter- When I first started the challenge I wanted it pretty much every day for the first week. After that it slowly tapered off. I definitely don't crave it like I used to. I think there's been one time in the last week where I was like.."I really want a pop!" ..but it only lasted a minute or two and it was gone. Giving up the pop was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be, after the first week of course. lol.

Hmm.. I didn't post yesterday. I thought I posted in the morning yesterday? I swear I had stuff typed out. Oh well.. lol.

Yesterday was kind of a busy day. I did a lot of running around for myself and my mom. I think that caught up with me by the time I got on the treadmill... it was painful(physically and mentally) to say the least. I'm definitely taking a couple days off from it. So my next treadmill day will be Saturday.

Today is day 29 of the no pop challenge. Tomorrow is the last day already! I'm going to have my one celebratory pop on Friday and then no pop for another two weeks.

Oh forgot to add.. calories for yesterday were around 1370.

Today is day 30!!!!

Today is the last day of the 30 day no pop challenge! The challenge was much easier that I thought it was going to be. The first week was rough, but after that it hasn't bothered me much at all.

I was 208.6 this morning. My calories have been great, so I'm assuming I'm still just retaining water from my TOM. I'm not sure if I'll drop down to 207 for the October challenge by tomorrow or not, but I'm sure I'll see it by the weekend.
