201.8 this morning!

I still need to do my measurements. Actually, I'm going to go do them right now, before I forget again. lol.

Edit**

Measurements are done! I don't really like them, but they're done. haha!

Convert the measurements into meters and they'll look much better!

Anyway congrats on the continued losses. You're on track to be ready for when the snow and ice thaws in mid-August.

Thanks, MrVee!

201.8 again this morning for my "official" weigh-in. That's a 2.2 lb loss for this week. I'll be doing the treadmill tonight at some point. I need to get it done for the challenge. Today is the last day of the week, and I need to get my third session in.

Going to the gym today at 2 o'clock today. I haven't been there since Wednesday. I did do the treadmill last night though, for 45 minutes. I have to say I was pretty proud of myself for jumping on there. I've had a pretty shitty last few days, and would have definitely just forgotten the exercise before. I use my mood as an easy excuse to give up on my diet, and most certainly on exercise all the time. I'd been sitting there consumed in my shitty feelings...headphones in, listening to a song on repeat... and was finally like "screw this", and got up and did it. I'm tired of a lot of things, and caving to emotions is one of them. I added this song to my playlist last week, it's the last song that plays. I hate that it was ever associated with The Biggest Loser, but I still love it.

I went to the gym again today. I mostly just did the treadmill and bike though, because I did weights yesterday. My arms and shoulders hurt. My legs are going to kill me tomorrow from the bike.

Calories are good today. I'm at a little over a 1000 right now, but I'll be having a snack of some sort later. I'll probably end the day around 1300 or so.

Good work on all the exercise!

One of the common things people say to me is "you should have went on the Biggest Loser!" Those people don't know me very well.

Thanks, MrVee!

Three days ago I upped my calories back to 1300-1500. I think 1200ish was just too low. I ate 1300-1500 when I got down to 185 before, so I was sitting there thinking "why the heck did I go down to 1200ish?" I don't know what I was thinking. I upped them again, and now I'm down to 199.8! I'm not sure that had anything to do with it, or if I was just due for a big drop, but it works for me. I'm wearing my new shoes to the gym today!

YEEEEEAH!!! You can wear your new shoes!!! Good job, honey!!!

:willy_nilly:

Thanks, guys! :)

So far today I've worked a little bit, cleaned the fish and newt tank, gave the dog a trim and a bath, and cleaned the kids' bathroom. I still have to finish laundry and work some more.

I haven't weighed myself, and don't really plan on it until next weekend at the earliest. Now that I met my 199 goal to get my shoes, I want to stop focusing on the scale so much. A weekly weigh-in is fine, or even twice a month maybe?

Chef and I are going to the gym tomorrow morning after we drop the kids off at school. I'm going to renew my membership for the month while I'm up there. I want to make sure I keep going even though the exercise challenge is over.

Which brings me to my next goal: An iPod Shuffle. How am I going to get it? By doing the elliptical, treadmill, or bike for 100 miles. I'm not very fast on the treadmill or elliptical, but I figure exercising 4 days a week, I can do it in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm going put a chart in the first post of my diary so I can have some place to keep track of it. I'll start that tomorrow. :)

My calories last night were 1353.

I went to the gym early this morning. I did one mile on the treadmill and three on the bike. I was going to do the elliptical too, but never got around to it after doing weights and the bike. So, that's 4 miles for today. I went ahead and marked it on my chart in my first post.

I am starting to notice some physical changes from going to the gym , so that's nice. I'll take my measurements again in a week or two, to see if there's any differences. I think there will be. :)

I started my TOM today, which explains my chocolate/sweets craving in the last couple days. I had a couple pieces of dark chocolate yesterday, but I could of eaten like a 5 lb bar of milk chocolate. Seriously, it was bad. :blush5:

I need to catch up on diaries. I'm way behind. Hopefully I can do that soon.

You are doing great! I think you have the right idea, focusing on the exercise now and not weighing daily. Great start to your 100 mile mark too!!

Thanks, Icy!

I'm done with the gym for today. Did another 4 miles between the treadmill and bike. I also did some stretching and weights. I slept pretty good last night, but I'm still dragging today. I think I finally decided that it's time to go back on the gluten free diet. Chef and I have plans for this weekend, so I'm going to start it on Monday. I also need to do a little shopping before I can start it. I just can't stand the joint, muscle aches, and fatigue anymore. So back to gluten free I go!

Today I have to do some laundry, work, do homework with the kids, take my daughter to the dentist, and I'm hoping I'm home when the UPS man comes. We should be getting our new gym bags today! I'm tired of carrying everything in a cloth grocery bag. haha!

If you had that much of a change then going back to gluten free is the way to go. If you just stick with it through the adjustment it will just become your normal diet. Even after years of being vegetarian I never thought I'd give up cheese. Now I don't even give it a thought most of the time and when I do I dismiss it as I know it would make me feel bad.

I really like your 100 mile goal. Feel free to join us in the running challenge. Your goal involves running and it might be interesting to see your proportions of miles run vs. biked etc. It's a big goal, but you'll get there. I wasn't brave enough to set that as a goal, but it will be a proud milestone for me. If my hip will cooperate I'll be there late next week.

Thanks, Quercus!

Pilates is a form of torture. Seriously.... torture. :ack2:

I should end the day around 1350 calories. I have about 150 calories left for a snack later. I'm not sure what I'm going to have yet, but it's probably going to involve some sort of chocolate.

I thought I'd tell you that I will be doing gluten free eating as well. My wife hopes it will help some of her symptoms and it will keep me a way from relying heavily on bread and processed foods. We are keeping the veganism as well so it will be quite an adjustment.

I'm guessing we will start this weekend. I may eat up our remaining glutinous groceries first. I intend on having ago at making my own non-wheat flour, but I imagine it will be more of a hassle than it's worth.

That's cool. I hope it helps her. It's definitely worth a try. I'll be starting again on Monday. Can't really say I'm looking forward to it, but I am looking forward to feeling better. I will also be eating up all the gluten stuff in the house this weekend. I don't think there's a whole lot though, thank goodness.

I realized shopping tonight that I already eat quite a bit that is gluten free. I forgot a lunch today and had to eat from my emergency stash at the office and I had nothing there with gluten. Bread and the vegan convinience foods will be the biggest loss, but fortuntley we have already cut way down on the bread. Pretty easy when you don't eat cheese or meat. I'm hoping it will help with my psoriasis and joint pains. It will at least exclude a lot of unhealthy food if nothing else.

Yeah, bread is a big one for me. Chef made some gluten free bread. It's not the same as the bread I'm used to, but it was really good. It's just going to take some getting used to. Gluten free actually wasn't such a big change overall, it was just giving up the few convenient things that I eat daily that I didn't like.

Tonight I'm having a cheat night. I haven't had one in a long time, and I really need it. lol! Back to the diet tomorrow though. :)

WOW... I just estimated the calories from lunch, dinner, and snacks yesterday. I should NOT have done that. I'll be being extra good today, let's just say that. haha!

Tomorrow it's back to gluten free. I'm kind of looking forward to it, and at the same time I'm also definitely not. Feeling better is the most important thing right now, so I have to do what I have to do... which means being gluten free again. Plus, having the restriction helps cut out a lot of junk, so that definitely helps.

I've been working out at least 3 times a week for a little over 2 months, and I can honestly say I think I enjoy it now. I woke up this morning and actually wanted to go to the gym. In the end, staying in bed with Chef and being lazy won out .....BUT the thought was there, and it would have neeeever been there before. So I think that's awesome. :)
