Jen's Diary

Thanks, Ladies! I did some paperwork!! Not the surgery paperwork, but the school paperwork I had to do. So that's one half of my paperwork done. Maybe I'll take a xanax later and do the rest... OR maybe I'll do it tomorrow. :D I'm a stubborn procrastinator. Can you tell? haha! Also on my list is laundry, lots and lots of laundry. I hate laundry. It's probably my least favorite chore ever. It never ends.

I just got back from the store. I bought some chicken for dinner. We'll be having that with a little rice and green beans. I also bought allergy medicine. I am a sniffling, sneezing, itchy mess. My eyes itch, along with my throat and ears. I hate ragweed. It needs to go away. All of it! This will be me later when my meds kick in.... :drooling: Sexy... I know. Chef's a lucky man. :smilielol5:

I stayed the same weight this week. I'm not really surprised, and honestly, I'm absolutely fine with it. Not losing anything is better than gaining something! Especially when I've been an anxiety filled mess, and my main go to fix is usually to stuff my face into a pint of Ben & Jerry's. So I am putting this week down as a win.

I'm lucky?

& at the other end of the world, in an opposite season, I too have terrible hayfever! I have upped my antihistamines too. *sniffle* *sneeze*
Well done on getting through a tough week Jen, without gaining. Definitely a win! :D

I was pretty much in a Benedryl induced coma most of the day yesterday. I should of bought the non drowsy kind, but the regular kind was on sale. My eyes still itch. I'd like to pop them out and rub them with a scrubby pad. Gross, I know.. but they itch!! I'm guessing my allergies are going to be worse this year, because they don't usually start acting up for another month or so. Yaaay!

Calories are good so far today. They were good yesterday too. I did have ice cream, but I bought one of those tiny little single serving ones. Holding it makes you feel like a giant. They're so tiny! But, I got my ice cream fix, and there wasn't any leftover to eat later.

Today I've been doing laundry. I also worked on paperwork!!!! *pats self on back* Tomorrow I'm doing more laundry and working. Tuesday is the first day of school for the kids. Wednesday is my surgery. Thursday I'm probably going to be sitting here moaning in pain. lol! So that's how my next few days are looking.

'Probably'
By "probably" I mean.... most definitely. Good luck with that! :D

Had a 2 lb. drop on the scale this morning. Woohoo! I had a very long and busy day. Going to bed early tonight, because ....SCHOOL! As much as I'm nervous for both of them, I'm also really looking forward to a day of peace and quiet. Today was just chaotic. I need some quiet time.

I hope everyone had a good day! :)

Thanks, everybody!! :)

The kids are at school! 4th and 7th grade! I wish I could share their 'first day of school' pics on here, but I'm not doing that for obvious reasons. They both looked so happy and grown up! Proud mama here! I hope they have a great day! :)

I'm waiting for a call to find out when my surgery is tomorrow. Hopefully they call soon. Anxiety is a level 12 right now on a 1-10 scale. :willy_nilly:

Calories yesterday were perfect. We're having tacos for dinner tonight. Going to try hard to control myself there.

Just letting everyone know, Jen's surgery went great. She's back at home recovering. She's a little high and tired, but she's doing alright.

I'll let her fill you in on the details when she feels up to it.

Awww.. Thanks, everybody!! :grouphug:

The only advice I can give you is don't laugh, cough or sneeze.

^^^ This could not be more true. Seriously....It hurts. haha!

I survived surgery! :hurray::hurray::hurray:

The pain isn't as bad as I thought it would be, so that's good. I have 3 incisions on my left side, but it's my right side and shoulder that actually hurt. Probably from the gas they used during surgery. It's not horrible though. Thank goodness. The doctor went in and removed the mass/cyst that was on the ultrasound. The way it was growing it was twisting and strangling my fallopian tube. Then he looked on the other side and the exact same thing was happening over there. It just wasn't quite as big yet. So he removed both of the cysts, straightened and flushed my tubes, and gave me a D&C. So I am completely cleaned out and in working order again. Hopefully once the pain and pressure from the surgery go away, I'll be able to feel a difference. *fingers crossed*

I pretty much slept most of the day yesterday. I did eat a few bites of food, but it wasn't agreeing with me very well at all. Today is a little better, but I haven't eaten much today either. The food is going down easier though, so I think I'll be back to eating fine by tomorrow. :)

I'll try to get to diaries this weekend! I hope everyone is doing well!
