Thanks, everybody! :)

Calories were around 1400 yesterday. My goal for today is only to stay at maintenance or under, and so far I'm doing good with that. I want chocolate though. Like five pounds of chocolate. I also want a wombat. Seriously.

How cute is this...

And they even do laundry...

I've been working and looking at Pinterest pretty much all day. It keeps me motivated. I like looking at clothes that I'll probably never buy.:p I hate spending money on clothes. Seriously hate it, but in the last 6 months or so I've gone ahead and picked up a few things that I like. They don't fit, BUT they're my style and hanging in my closet waiting for me. Most of them are maybe a size or 2 smaller than I am now. I really want an army green jacket to wear this fall. The only thing holding me back is I'd like to wear it in the spring too, and HOPEFULLY by the spring it'll be too big for me to wear. I'll probably buy one anyway. If I have to buy another one in a smaller size later... So be it. :)

Here's some of my favorites from my Pinterest board.

My calories are good so far today, around 1300. I might have a snack later. If I stay under maintenance again today I'll be happy with that.

Busy day today. On my list is..

1. I have to get some work done.
2. K has Cross Country practice this afternoon.
3. After practice we have to pick her up and drop her off at my mom's. So that we can....
4. Take the boy out to dinner and school clothes shopping. Fun night!

Tomorrow it's her turn. She's getting a bit older, and is getting picky about what she wears. So, she's going to take longer. I am not looking forward to this. haha!

It also means two dinners in a row out. So we need to find somewhere reasonable to eat.

Shopping with my mom was always nice (even though we often didn´t agree...) and I would have LOVED to go have dinner just with my mom some time :-o Pretty sure the only time that happened was when I was 18 and we went to Paris together for the weekend :)

Shopping with my Mum was always nice because she would nearly always pay :blush5: My Mum was very generous, especially as she got older & could afford to be. When we were young Mum sewed everything, mainly because she couldn't afford to buy us clothes.
Family time is special time Jen. Hope the shopping isn't too painful xoC

Hah! You did the same as me, I hate shopping and I just bought myself a shirt over the weekend 1 size too small in hopes that once I've lost more weight, I'll be able to fit into it and look super sexy. At least that's what my delusion was telling me at the time...

When I was in elementary school most of what we wore came out of The Bag, which magically appeared twice a year to deliver "new" clothes and eat up anything I grew out of ("I" because I was the youngest of the older bunch). When my little sister got old enough to start walking it delivered... my older sister´s first shoes, thirteen years old and repaired with a row of iron nails but with at least ten kids´ worth of experience in learning to walk :p

Well, ladies, Chef will be going along on the school shopping trips. We wanted them both to have a night out with us where they got to do some shopping and have dinner. I did set us up for hair appts on Thursday though, so we can both get our hair done. I desperately need a haircut, and she needs a new cut for school. So that should be fun afternoon for us. I'm thinking about taking her out and getting our nails done for her birthday. I'm not so much into getting my nails done, but she loves painting her nails. So, I'm fairly certain she would love that. And she is turning the big 13 this year, so it's a little bit more of a "grown up" gift. Eeek!

Oh, I'm fairly certain there are more things in my closet that DON'T fit than do. One day I'll have a nice wardrobe that actually fits. Until then it's yoga pants and t-shirts. haha!

All I have is a brother who's 10 years older than me. So, I kind of lucked out there. haha! My DAD always took me to do the majority of my school shopping, since my parents were divorced, and he was paying. That was interesting to say the least. lol!

I despise shopping. Just hate it. I've gone a few times with wife & kids, and I invariably find a park bench or something within 10 minutes. Last time we went together, I needed boots, and at 14W, I figured I'd have some investigating/digging to do. Nope, right at the end of the aisle, there's a pair of Sketchers hikers, first box is 14W, and they felt perfect (still do). I was done in 2 minutes.

I was done in 2 minutes.
We were not done in 2 minutes. That's for damn sure! haha!

I am extremely sore. My body hates me after walking around two nights in a row for hours and hours! Surprisingly my daughter was the easier of the two!! All the stuff she picked out was great and easy to find! My son is 9 and he's kind of big for his age. The kids shoes wouldn't fit him anymore, but the few places we went started at an 8.5 in the men's section. He needed like a 7 or 7.5. We finally found a pair for him yesterday. So school shopping is officially DONE.

Not gonna lie, I'm typing this while I'm sipping on an alcoholic beverage and eating a Heath bar. Today was hectic and didn't really go as planned. I had both open houses for my kids. They start 7th and 4th grade this year. My daughter is pumped because she has not one, not two, but THREE classes with her best friend. All right in a row at the end of the day. She also has gym this year, which she didn't have last year. So she's happy about that.

However, her locker is in the....dun dun dun....

.... 8th GRADE HALLWAY!

That's a huge deal! HUGE! Ahhh..middle school.

:smilielol5:

My son's teacher seems nice. He's going to a new school this year, so that is super scary.... For ME ..not him. haha! I'm sure he'll be fine. I might not be, but he will. :p

Anyway..... I'm tired, I'm sore, and I'm eating my damn Heath bar and enjoying it. I don't care. haha!

Sounds like you got a lot of stuff done. Let the games begin! My nephew has trouble finding shoes in his size as well and for the same reason so he wears fire engine red women´s sneakers. Probably the last shoes he´ll every wear that aren´t too wide for him...

I remember when nothing could be more important than the minutia of day to day goings on in middle and high school. I dread having my children go through that phase thinking that anything and everything is the 'end of their lives' and thinking I'm so painfully uncool.

My calories were around 1650 yesterday, with my Heath bar and drink. We were running around all day, so I didn't eat much in the afternoon. Today is going good so far. It's the weekend though. The kids are gone all weekend, Chef works doubles, so it's just going to be me sitting here all day. I'm sure the snack monster will be knocking on my door. My anxiety is also getting pretty high with my surgery coming up next week. I have a packet of paperwork I have to fill out and I've been putting it off, because my anxiety flares every time I think about it. My goal for the weekend is to get that done and stay between 1300 and 1500 calories.

Resist the temptation Jen & think how good & strong you will feel if you resist. I have been worrying again about G, after learning more about how he might be after his op. Be strong hon xoxo

Do the paperwork RIGHT NOW if you want to reduce stress/anxiety and free up time to go for a walk or something, thus beating the snack monster.
