Jen's Diary: To 180 or Below...and Maintenance!

Thanks guys! :) My son's birthday went good! He had a blast. I had one tiny piece of cake and a little bit of ice cream...oh and pizza! Can't forget that..sigh! I ended the day 1780. It's over what I should be, but not too horrible I guess, considering what I ate.

Today is Fat Tuesday(aka Mardi Gras)... my goal for today is to keep all packzis away from my mouth. haha! They are everywhere! I used to celebrate today by eating at least a couple....usually an apple and a creme filled one. Siiiiiigh.. so delicious!

Oh and Chef's appt for the sleep clinic last night was canceled. Soooo... that means more waiting. Hopefully he gets back in soon. *fingers crossed*

My calories are good so far today, and I've managed to avoid the leftover cake! :)

Good on you for avoiding that left over cake!

OMG!!!! I closed it as quickly as I opened it. We call them jam or cream donuts - they ARE to die for!!!

Thanks, Justina and Mands! :)

Well Valentine's Day threw me off ...again. I had way too much that night. Chef made a nice romantic dinner for us, which included my favorite, chicken fettucini alfredo. Yummy! I of course got chocolates too. So I've been kinda munching on them on and off since Thursday. I'm back up to 195 this morning. I'm sure part of it is just retention. My calories have only been really bad that one day. So hopefully I drop back down in the next day or so.

Saw this on facebook...had to share. lol!

OMG - I LOVE that picture !!!! TOOOOOOO FUNNY! LOL It really cheered me up. I can relate right now..
I had a terrible diet week - but back on track now yay!

Your Valentine's day sounds great & so is the romantic meal!

Justina- You should! It's just too funny! lol!

Nothing much new today. Gonna work today, and go to the grocery store later. We're having tacos for dinner. Siiiigh... I love tacos. Will have to refrain from eating a ton of them. Willpower!

The taco spice packages call for using a pound of ground beef with the provided spices which makes twelve tacos, but I pour the spices in a tiny little container and then measure it out to make it with different amounts of ground beef. So a quarter pound of beef makes three tacos, a third of a pound makes four, and half a pound makes six. Twelve tacos does not fit comfortably in the diet plan, particularly since I buy corn tortillas and fry them up in oil. It works out, once all the cheese and everything is on them, to about 180 calories a taco.

Don't know if you and the kids can put away twelve tacos, but there are ways to eat less. :)

I'll probably have a couple with a few tortilla chips. I don't fry my shells either...so that saves me some calories. Or I might just have a taco salad instead. I'm not sure which yet. My son is not a big eater at all..... unless it's spaghetti, pizza, or TACO night. The boy can eat 4 or 5 tacos himself. I don't know where he puts them. haha!
