Jen's Diary: To 180 or Below...and Maintenance!

Today is day five of being back on track. Calories yesterday were 1330.

My neck hurts really bad, so I was tossing and turning all night. It was probably the worst nights sleep I've had in a while. I don't know what I did to it, but hopefully it goes away soon. :(

Today I'm just working. This is the latest gem I've found while working. It's uh... interesting. It will for sure make you shake your head and go "whaaat the heeell?!", and possibly give you nightmares. People are weird.

"meow, meow, meow"

Try to watch your language when you do so, though. :D

Oh, I'm pretty sure the neighbors are going to hear me. haha!

I'm pretty certain I've met that particular woman on an online dating website. She wasn't interested...

Perhaps you need to tape it and send it to America's Funniest Videos :)

You're cracking me up Vee. Good luck on the weigh-in Jen! Today is more or less day one for me. I think I'll stay away from the scale until Saturday.

Ok... day 6 of behaving myself. A few things....

1. I feel like the calorie counting is starting to get routine again. :)

2. I have a serious craving for roasted pumpkin seeds. Why? Because I have a huge container of them sitting on the counter... sigh.

3. I just logged into work and I have super easy tasks to do.. yay!

Have a good day everyone! :)

Well I didn't scream or swear, but my face was probably pretty priceless....204.2 lbs. I usually drop 5 or 6 lbs the first week of being on track after a major derailment. So, I'm guessing I was up to around 209 ...210sh?! This, my friends, is why we don't eat gobs and gobs of ice cream, pop, and chocolate for two months. Lesson learned.

The last time I was on here I was around 195, I think. Considering the fact that at one point I was down to 185, I'm pretty pissed off at myself right now. If I could kick my own ass, I definitely would. It's motivation to keep doing good though.

Goal for the day: 1350 calories. Goal for the next week: Get under 200 pounds... again.

Sorry the scale wasn't so nice to you, but glad you have been kicked into gear and have the motivation to change :) You will get there!

Robyn!!! Oh my gosh! She is absolutely adorable! :)

I'm doing good. I took about two months off, but I've been back on track for a week now. I'm motivated and feeling pretty good. I'm sooooo ready to get the rest of this weight off!! :D

Well today is one day that I've been fearing... Halloween!:pumpkin: Until today I've kept the candy unopened and stuffed way in the back of a cupboard so I wouldn't be tempted, but now it has to come out. Ahhhhh! I must resist. I hope we have lots and lots of trick-or-treaters, because I don't want any left-overs.

Today is also Chef's birthday. Not much to worry about there though, because he doesn't like cake, frosting, most pie, or anything super sweet. He's a weird one, but at least that cuts out most of the traditional birthday treats. :)

I suppose I should probably get some work done, so I can have some Halloween and birthday fun later. I hope everyone has a great day!

We don't have trick or treaters or kids so I don't have to deal with that anymore. What I did when I lived in a neighborhood was when I was ready to stop passing out candy the next kids that showed up got everything that was left and then I turned the lights out. One year the last was 2 teens without costumes or bags looking for an excuse to do something to the house no doubt. They left with a couple pounds of candy held in their shirt fronts like pimply kangaroos.

Well, we didn't have a ton of trick-or-treaters, so towards the end of the night I was giving out big handfuls of candy. There's some left, but nothing that I really like. I ended up having several pieces of candy, a couple cookies, and a drink last night. I wasn't horrible, but I definitely wasn't good either... lol. All the good candy is gone now though, so there's nothing to really tempt me today. :)

I'm running my mom's cat to the vet today, running errands for her, and then dropping the kids off over there for a night with Grandma. Fun fun!

Well, this weekend was bad... in more ways than one. Chef decided to take a cheat weekend from his diet, and I let myself get sucked into that. Ahhhh! I'm so mad at myself. Back on track tomorrow!

The really bad part: We ended up going to Traverse this weekend to do a little shopping. We were headed back home, and had to pull over for an ambulance, my mom called me shortly after we got home, and it turns out that my cousin was in the ambulance. She's 42 and had a pretty bad stroke. She's had medical problems for years, and had a heart attack a few years ago. We're still waiting for some results, but most likely she is going to have some major hurdles ahead of her. She's only said a couple of words, and her right side is paralyzed.

This brought back some pretty bad memories for me. My dad had a massive stroke when he was 40(I was only 15), and had severe speech problems and was also paralyzed on his right side. I watched him struggle with those disabilities until he passed at the age of 46 from leukemia. Definitely made me think about my health, and how I can improve it.

I'm trying to get some work done tonight. The kids have school off tomorrow, so I'm fairly certain I will get nothing done tomorrow.

Crossing my fingers that this next week is better than the weekend.

Oh, it's unplugged and the key put up. My daughter would not hesitate to put her little brother on there and do something worthy of America's Funniest Home Videos...or a trip to the ER. Kids are so much fun... lol.

Calories are on track today. The kids are behaving, so I've actually gotten some work done.
