Jen's Diary: To 180 or Below...and Maintenance!

Thanks, Cate! I managed to resist that darn fritter. It was hard though, especially when I had to walk right past them at the bakery! The smell of baked goods is just intoxicating! I think I'm having a major carb craving here. lol!

Today was pretty good though. Calories were 1420. :)

That's when I'm glad that I am gluten-intolerant! Bakery products smell heavenly, but make me feel horrible, so just not worth it! 1420- pretty good!
 
Hey Jen,
I know exactly what you mean about the smell of baked goods! Whenever I walk past a bakery here,I just have to leave the area! I swear they call my name, even after 2+ years being off the sweet stuff! So, excellent choice on staying away from the fritter!

My calories have been good the last couple days, between 1300 and 1400. So I'm happy about that. Chef has really been sticking to his diet, so that's really been helping me out. It's so much easier to eat better when the person you're with is eating better too.

Today was the first day of school for my 4th grader and 1st grader. They both had a great day, and I had a nice quiet day as well. :D

I'm wasting time right now. The work servers are down for "maintenance". Hopefully they are back up soon, because I have some catching up to do. I really want to take a nap while I wait, but I suppose I should do something a tad more productive....like a journal post.

Well, the first week of school is done. It was a hectic week. I think everyone had a little bit of trouble adjusting to the schedule. My kids are in two different schools this year, so that means we have to get up even earlier. I am not a morning person. My son is not a morning person. Everyone survived though, so I consider that a successful week!! Hopefully this week goes a little better..lol!

I stayed the same this week on the scale, which was surprising to me, because I got a little snack happy during the week. So, I need to watch that this week. Hoping to be 192 by Saturday, and back in the 180's by the end of the month!

I've been getting 6 or 7 hours of sleep every night, but am still waking up tired as hell. All I want to do is sleep. My allergies also kicked in this last week. I feel like I need to chop off my nose, and suck out all the snot with a Shopvac or something. Holy moly, it's bad... and I cannot stop sneezing. It's gotten to the point where Chef is just like... "bless you"........ "bless you".........."bless you"........ "ok, knock it off!" Hahaha! I can't help it though! I need to get some non-drowsy medicine the next time I'm at the store. All I have is Benedryl right now, and I can't take that and still remain a functioning human being. It's not possible. I'm pretty sure I enter a coma state.... drool, and everything...it's not pretty. lol!

Ugh. Work servers are still down. I have the feeling they will be for a while. I guess it's time for me to get up and do something. Hope everyone has a good day! :)

Oh, also wanted to add... what is up with all the "users" online? Weird.
 
HI Jen ! I find that using a neti pot helps me with my allergy and sinus problems. It's kind of awkward and gross to use, but it really helps me. I use it in the winter just for when my sinuses are dry too.
 
I haven't posted in over a month. I think that's the longest I've went since joining this place. As you can probably guess, my lack of posting wasn't because I was doing awesomely well.

I haven't weighed myself, but I know it's pretty bad. I'm gonna guess 10... maybe 12....13....15 lbs? :eek: My jeans still fit, but they're getting noticeably tighter... which is why I marched my butt back here. I really have no excuse for my over-eating, other than stress, which has definitely not been lacking in the last month and a half. My mood has kind of sucked(aka I've been a pretty big bitch :D), and I've been overwhelmed a LOT. I stopped tracking my calories, and that was definitely one of my major downfalls. Once I stopped doing that, everything went to hell.

Time to get back on track! 1) I don't want to gain anymore weight. 2) I CAN'T gain anymore weight because I donated all my bigger jeans! I'm going to have a bit of problem if I don't get my butt into gear soon. haha! 3) I want to get healthy and all that jazz. 4) I want to FINALLY meet my goal!

I'm honestly not sure if I'll weigh myself anytime soon or not. I don't know if I want to see that number. Maybe after I've had a week or two back on track.

I hope everyone else has been doing well. :)

Jen Renee? I think I remember someone here by that name, but it's been so long I can't be sure.

Anyway, it's probably not as bad as you think. The good news is that it tends to come off quicker after a backslide than when you've been on track the whole time.

Anyway, good to have you back and keep working at it!
 
Welcome back Jen....very very glad you are back....you can get to your goal!!!! You know what went wrong, and you have a game plan......:)
 
Thanks, guys! So happy to be back. I definitely need the support and accountability. :)

Today is the first full day of being back on track. So far it's going pretty well, but I didn't have to get up with the kids this morning, soooo I've really only been up for like 2 hours..haha!

I'm POSITIVE today will be a good day though. I'm back to tracking my calories, and shooting for 1300-1400 today. I can do this! I'll be back later with a calorie update. :)
 
Ok, so I ate just a hair over 1300 calories today. It was a pretty good day. I thought I'd be more hungry than I am, since I've been pigging out for a month, but I feel pretty good right now. :)

Day 2 of being back on track was a success. As of right now I'm sitting at just under 1300 calories. I might have a small 100 calorie snack later though.

I've been out and about all day pretty much. Spent the morning deep cleaning my mom's apt, then I had a bunch of errands to run. I'm tired and ready to veg for the night. I hope everyone had a good day! Hopefully I'll get to diaries tomorrow at some point. I know I have a lot to catch up on. :)
 
Well today is going pretty good. My calories are on track. I'm still feeling motivated.

My plans for the day are kind of all screwed up. I ended up staying up a little later than I planned on, so I slept in later. Didn't start working right away like I should have. Then my mom called(background information: I do all her grocery shopping for her). She was like... "Uh, I made a big mistake yesterday... BIG. I forgot to put an important thing on the grocery list... toilet paper. I have three sheets! THREE sheets!" haha! So, I just got back from taking her some toilet paper. Now I have to buckle down and get some work done.

Oh, and eat lunch. I'm making some little english muffin pizzas today. One of my favorites... yum!

My calories were around 1390 yesterday. Today is day four of being back on track! This Wednesday will mark a full week of being good, so I think I will weigh myself that day. Hopefully it won't be too bad, and I won't look like this...
