Jen's Diary: To 180 or Below...and Maintenance!

Oh man Mr Velvetskie is the cutest thing!!

Summer is here and I don't know how I am gonna survive without ice cream. I normally have ice cream like 3 times a week when we hit 40 degrees Celsius temps - and this year there's none of that. So you make me VERY jealous!!
 
I had a mole several years ago. After weeks of using sonic emitters and live traps to no avail, I finally gave up and introduced him to my friend, Mr Winchester. Sorry... I know, I know, they're cute and adorable and fuzzy, but he was destroying my lawns.
 
Hey guys! Guess who went horribly off track for a month, and gained like 5 lbs... that's right,... me! :( I've been super busy and stressed for the last month. I packed and moved, not only me and my kids, but my mom too. I'm still working on unpacking and getting everything put away, both at our apt and my mom's apt. Slowly but surely it will get there.

Diet wise I have been beyond horrible. Junk food, fast food, Mountain dew, chocolate... you name it, I probably ate it. I think the only reason I haven't gained more is that I've been extremely active all month. Every muscle in my body hurts. Adding to the stress of moving two households, tomorrow is the last day of school for my kids. Along with every muscle in my body hurting, my head is going to hurt now too..lol. I'm hoping I can get things put away, and get into some kind of daily routine for working and exercising with the kids home. It will be a challenge.

Things are starting to settle down now though, and I'm ready to get back to work. Ten more pounds to lose! I will do it! :)

Welcome back, Jen! I was afraid you moved to a part of Michigan that hadn't discovered the internet yet.

When you consider how far you've come, five pounds sounds pretty trivial. Plus the added bonus is that the added calorie consumption has probably boosted your metabolism some. So you might drop those 5 pounds a little quicker the second time around.

Thank you, everyone! I'm glad to be back. :)

Today I have to go pick up my kids from their last day of school, go to my mom's and unpack some stuff, figure out dinner, and get some work done tonight.

Diet goals:

For today... No fast food, junk food, or pop. Calories 1300-1400.

I'm hoping to lose this last 10 lbs by August. We will be going down to Cleveland to visit Chef's family and friends, and I would like it to be gone by then. I can definitely do it, I just need to stay focused!

Glad to see you still fighting the good fight! I know we're friends on FB, but we don't seem to use it as much as our friends/family do.

And don't worry about miserable days - I've been having them quite a lot recently too! Just chug some water, and face the next day with a refreshed outlook :)
 
Hey Greg! Trying to get back on track is hard. I'll be fine part of the day, and then something happens, and everything goes to hell. I think I've gotten to the point where I'm annoying myself with how off track I am..lol! I'm just gonna take it one day at a time though. So far so good today! :) Oh and I keep thinking I need to post more on FB, maybe one day it'll actually happen. lol.
 
Everything at our apartment is just about put away. I have one box of kitchen stuff to figure out where to put, and that's it! yay! Yesterday was definitely productive. Hopefully in the next couple days I can get mom's stuff all taken care of, and I'll be done with all this moving stuff. It seemed like it was never going to end.

Today I am catching up on a couple hours of work that I got behind on, and taking care of a bunch of laundry. I also need to figure out what I'm going to eat for the week and go to the grocery store.

My treadmill is ready to go, and I'm thinking that I'll take advantage of the flight of stairs I have in our apt. I like the way our apartment is set up. There are no common hallways, all the upstairs apartments have their own set of stairs right in the apartment. So I think I'm going to start going up and down those a few extra times a day. I'm already up and down them a ton, between the kids and the dog, but a few more times won't hurt, right?

I am determined to make this week a good one, with both food and exercise. August will be here before I know it.

It might if you go down them the wrong way. I went down the mountain like that once. Fortunately I was able to break my fall with my skull.
 
I had a very good week. Right before I started getting on track, my weight shot up to 193. I think because I continued eating like a little piggy and wasn't being as active(because we stopped moving stuff/unpacking). This morning my weight was 188 pounds. so that's a five pound loss this week. I'm very pleased. :)

Only 8 more pounds to go!
 
Down to 187 this week, so I lost a pound. Which I'm extremely pleased with since it was also my TOM. Seven pounds to go!! :D
