Today is kind of a sad day. I'm going to my great grandma's funeral services today at 2:00. We weren't really close, but she was my last living grandparent. So now I'm grandparentless. :((Is that a word? I don't think so...lol) Anyways... even though we weren't close I do have some things that always come to mind when thinking about her. Like she ALWAYS had the best lemonade in the summer...there was always a pitcher of it in the fridge. It was YUMMY! Also, I swear to God she did not age at all between the ages of 65 and 85. It was kind of the running joke in the family that she had found the fountain of youth and wasn't sharing. She claimed that is was Oil of Olay face cream....yeah whatever Grandma! hahaha! Awww...she was just a sweet lady..and will be missed by the entire family. RIP Great Grandma ?

So thaaaaat's why I saw a case of it in your closet. Hmm...now it's aaaaall coming together.

I hope everything goes ok at your great-grandmother's services. I'll be thinking about you. And, a lot of people are grandparentless (and no, I don't think that's a word, HAHAHA) at our age, so don't get too down. I haven't had a grandparent for 4 or 5 years now. Don't be sad that you don't have any surviving grandparents - be happy that they all had such a long, happy life - long enough for you to have a great-grandparent while you were in your 30's. Because, that's pretty good, honey. That means they lived a long, fulfilling life.

I'll be thinking about you today.

:hug2:

:GASP: Yeah, you better run! HAHAHA! You're so getting smacked for that one. I do NOT look old........ :applies more Oil of Olay::smilielol5:

:YAAAAAAAAAAAAWN: Can I pleeeeeeeeease go back to bed???? Pretty please with sugar on top? hahhaha! I'm so tired....I could sleep for a week I think. Not that my children would let me...they apparently think that mom doesn't need more than 2 hours of sleep in a row. WRONG children! Soooooo wrong! I can't wait until they're teenagers and I can bust into their rooms and wake their butts up! If it wouldn't traumatize them for life... I'd go crawl into bed with them in the middle of the night and proceed to sleep smack dab in the middle of their bed, hog their covers, and elbow them in the face....hahaha. Can you imagine being like 15 and finding your mom in bed with you in the morning???...hahaha...That would be years of therapy......YEARS HAHAHA!

Siiiiigh...I need a nap. But I have to go get my son ready for school, do an obscene amount of laundry.....it's sooo bad. You should see this pile. It's pretty spectacular....and not in a good way. HAHAHA! Later. :waving:

I'm here to tell you my mom DID THAT!! When I hit my teens she'd stand in the hallway before my alarm clock would even going off singing showtunes...the most often a song called "early bird" by shirley temple which I actually found on youtube. I would pull the covers over my head and throw anything within my reach at the doorway...shoes etc. I still to this day can't stand people who are too cheerful in the morning. Did i mention my mom also did a dance/tap routine while singing that song and grinning from ear to ear? and even attempted the whistling part :X *goes off to have traumatic flashback*

Wow you really can find everything on youtube...here's the chicken alarm clock that was there to annoy me when my mom couldn't....it went flying across the room most mornings but wouldn't break. I was just reading it doesn't have a snooze button though...maybe I should get one for my husband who sets his alarm clock as far as 2 hours ahead and then hits snooze every 15 minutes.

HAHAHA! That's awesome! That's sooooooo going to be me. Ok...probably not the singing and definitely not the tap dancing...but I will find something annoying to do! I have several years to come up with a good plan of attack....MMMMUHUWHAHAHAHAA!!!! :reddevil:

Ps- That chicken alarm clock would of went out the window if it was mine..hahaha!

hahaha....:Years of therapy, YEARS!!!...so funny! Isn't that the truth, though!?!?

I was talking with a girlfriend today that is is ready to have her baby this week or next week, and we were talking about sleep. Oh man!! She was asking me, "Do you think that it will really be problems with sleeping"?!

..from what I read, what I hear from others, and what I've seen those around me handle,..."Yes!" LOL! When you said that it would be until their teens to be able to get them back, it makes me really woonder how long it is that a parent isn't able to sleep!?? :) ...Things that me go hmmmm. LOL!

:grouphug: Sorry about your grandparents. Warm wishes of happiness to you. Your memories of them are great!
