Wow!

You stomped it into the ground I'd say, Jen! :D lol!

Damn! 8lb is way impressive - even if it's just water weight! Lemme tell ya, water weight can be just as much of a bear to deal with as real weight sometimes!

Good for you!! :hurray:
[/quote]

Thank you! I'm very happy with it.... water weight or not. It's 8lbs that's not there anymore..lol! yay! :D

AOk...like 2 weeks ago we had massive amounts of snow on the ground..... today it is 85 degrees. That's Michigan for ya! Today I was wishing that I had started being serious about my weight loss again like months ago, instead of a week ago... lol. I was dying in jeans and t-shirt, but this girl is not wearing shorts or skirts...or anything that shows my knees..lol. I hate them. I really wish I had the confidence to wear skin baring stuff, but I just don't. Next summer though.... I am going to wear shorts! ....and I'm gonna look good in them!! :)

AA Conversation With My Scale

Me: *Gives scale a dirty look*..... "You better start moving!"

Scale: "Nooooo!!!!"

Me: "You bastard!!!"

That pretty much sums up my last couple days. I'm sure it will move when it's ready..lol! I've still been eating good and sticking to my calorie range. I plan on doing a ton of stuff this weekend, so I'll be getting plenty of activity. Tonight I'm off to parent/teacher conferences....FUN FUN! :)

It'll move again, Jen! Don't worry :) Just keep sticking with it!

Or, you can just get an additional scale so you can have a second opinion on your weigh-in day! hehe :p

Have fun at the meeting!

I have 2 scales at home. Sometimes, one weighs me lighter than the other. haha! I always consult with the back-up one if the primary one doesn't give me a reading I like......Keep at in Jen, you'll be surprised, one day you'll drop 2kg at once :):)

AThanks guys!

A second opinion does sound nice...lol. The scale was still at the exact same number this morning. Hmmm.....maybe I put it into a permanent state of shock with the 8 lb drop last week?.....poor thing..hehe! I really just need to quit weighing myself so often, but I cant help it. :blush5: I will NOT be deterred by this. I know I'm doing good. I just have to wait for the scale to catch up. Patience is not my virtue though, or anywhere even close! So wish me luck! :)

I had this in my old journal.... I must remember this:

Persevere verb 1. To persist in anything undertaken; maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty,
obstacles, or discouragement; continue steadfastly.

Oh, and conferences went really good. My daughter is in 2nd grade, and is doing great! So proud of her. :) My son's conference went very well too. He's in a Preschool special education program right now for half a day Mon-Fri. It was talked about earlier in the year holding him back from Kindergarten this coming year, and waiting to send him a year late. It was decided last night though that he WILL be going to Kindergarten this coming fall. He has many delays, speech being the big one. Right now he receives speech, physical, and occupational therapy at school. He's the oldest one in his class, and his speech therapist thinks that the peer models in Kindergarten will benefit him greatly. I'm a very nervous momma....lol! But, I think it will be good for him too. Soooo.... off to Kindergarten he goes. :)

Oh!....and with him going to Kindergarten... I will have my WHOLE day FREE!! YEEEEEAH!!! I'm not gonna know what to do with myself..lol!

AWell....umm.... last night did not go as I had planned. I planned on having an evening to myself, getting on the treadmill, and most definitely sticking to my diet. hahaha....NONE of that happened. One of my friends called an invited me out for a girls night out. I just couldn't resist. We haven't been out in a long time, and don't go out that often to begin with. Soooo...out I went. And boy, oh boy did I drink and eat last night. I felt HORRIBLE this morning. Physically and mentally.. I totally regret drinking and eating all I did. But, I had a blast last night and today I'm back on track. I probably won't like what the scale says on Monday, but at least it was fun! :)

*edit*

Just did the treadmill for 45 minutes. Holy crap, I forgot how tiring that is. It's a good tired though. :)

AWell I did a sneak peak on the scale this morning and I'm up just over a pound after this weekend's mishaps. So I'm not expecting to see anything great on the scale tomorrow. I'm hoping by some miracle I'll at least be down to what I was before the weekend, but I'm not holding my breath..lol. I just got done with the treadmill for today. I'm so sore. I definitely need new shoes. My feet and hips are killing me. I have to do some shopping next Saturday for Easter basket stuff, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get some then. Right now though, I'm off to do some food shopping! Later!

AStill hanging on to that pesky pound and a half from the weekend. :(

I did really good yesterday. I was at about 1250 for calories, and I did the treadmill for 45 minutes. I'm shooting for the same thing today. Although, that's going to be a bit harder today with the mood I'm in. Let's just say it's not good..haha!

Oh well, I'm going to do my best.

A:D

Well I weighed myself this morning...and I took off those 2lbs that I had gained back...plus 2 more. So, I've lost 10 lbs now! yay! :hurray:

Also, for those in the US... don't bother buying any Mega Millions tickets today....I've already bought the winning ticket. ;) That 540 million is MINE!! hahaha! I think I read if one person wins and they take the cash option, they would get a 389 million payout! Can you imagine?! The things I could do with that money....lol. *dreamy sigh*

AThis next week will be week number 4 of me being serious about my weight loss again. It's kind of hard to believe, being that I was barely able to go 2 days before. It feels really good! :D

I'm just sitting here waiting for my kiddos to get home. They've been at their Dad's since Thursday night. So I'm sure things are gonna be a little crazy when they get home. lol! It's been a quiet weekend, but good. Chef spent most of the weekend here and we watched a few movies. It was funny too, because last week we were watching tv and a commercial for Titanic being released in 3D came on. I didn't really care to see the 3D version in theater, but I was like...OOooooo..... we should watch that sometime. And he of course was all..... "I'm not watching that movie....ever." And continued to go on and on about it, til he eventually irritated me..hahaha! WELL...... this weekend he showed up with movies, and one of them was..... Titanic. :p He was a trooper too, and watched the whole thing. :) Very sweet!

Anyways...things are going good. I hope everyone else is doing well!!

Hi Jen! :)

I can't believe it's been a week since I stopped by! Wow. Time really is just escaping me lately :\

Nicely done getting those pesky few pounds off! 10lb! Awesome!! :D

I'm getting there myself with this water weight, slowly and steadily :) I hope to be back in the 170's again soon!

Yah, I hear ya. It would be soooo nice having that kind of money. I was talking to a co-worker today about it. There's apparently 3 winning tickets, and one of them was sold in Maryland (a stone's throw away from here). Doh!

So, I asked my co-worker today what he would do if he suddenly realized he'd won. He told me he'd go to his pastor and ask how much it would cost to get him into heaven, because he was about to be very bad with his winnings ;p lol! (He loves them clubs!)

Hmmm, now see, I liked Titantic. I enjoy 'chick flicks', as they say. Glad you got Chef to calm down a bit and view it with you :) I mean, it did win 11 Oscars! I think it qualifies as a good movie! hah

Happy to see everything is going well, Jen!

Thanks Greg! I'm glad to hear you're doing good! :) And yeah.... I don't know what I would of done with that much money. I probably wouldn't of had to worry about.... I probably would of had a heart attack and died right on the spot. That would be my luck. I'd win the lottery and die. HAHAHA!

And yes.... Titanic is a great movie. I think Chef enjoyed it.... he'd never admit it though..lol!

lol, yep! My luck seems to operate in the same function!

I'd win the lottery, then a tree or something would fall on me as I went to claim the prize :p hah!

Fortunately, I don't have enough luck to even get a single number correct on the ticket I bought earlier, so I guess I don't have to worry about that ;(

Total nerd moment here as I typed this, but there was an X-Files episode that had to do with that kind of thing. There was this fella who was supernaturally lucky with everything he did, but it came at a price. Every time he would win, something awful would happen to someone close to him.

For example, he needed money desperately. So he walked into a gas station and bought a lottery ticket that was worth like a million dollars. He scratches it off and every single entry is the '$1,000,000' prize. He stands there for a second, unsurprised, and eventually decides against it, throws it in the garbage, and walks out the store. Well, a nearby patron notices it, takes the ticket out of the trash, and tries to claim it as his own. As this patron is leaving the store later on, he gets hit by a vehicle and dies. lol

Ok, so I'm gonna have to go back and watch that episode sometime :) Love the X-Files! :]

I'm also completely secure about admitting my enjoyment of any and all movies! I just watched Disney's Beauty and the Beast just the other day! I loved the premise of the story: beautiful girl falls in love with something that most people considered 'ugly', only to see this 'beast' transformed into the most handsome man in the kingdom!

Pretty strong message I believe! Don't judge a book by it's cover :)

Alol, Greg. Sounds like we have about the same luck. I bought 4 tickets for the Mega Millions, and didn't get one number. Not one. *sigh* So, sad. LOL!

I haven't seen the X-Files in forever!! My ex watched it quite often, and my ex's best friend was a huge Scully freak (like on the verge of stalker..hahaha), so we used to watch it a lot when we all got together. What's with geeks and Scully anyway?! I never really understood that one...lol. It was a really good show though.

And Beauty and the Beast is one of my absolute favorite Disney movies.... LOVE IT! And you're most definitely right.... love the message of the movie. It is a beautiful one! :)

There hasn't been much going on with me. Still been doing good with the diet and exercise. This week is my TOM, and I'm trying really hard not to eat my body weight in chocolate. :p It's haaaaard..lol. Oh and then of course there's Easter and Easter candy..ugh! My willpower is definitely being tested..lol! I will be happy to maintain my weight this week. Although I wouldn't be surprised to see a gain...that's usually how it works. :(

Last night we colored eggs with the kids. Everyone had fun with that. Tomorrow Chef and I are going shopping. I have to get Easter stuff, and then we're going to dinner and movie. So that should be a fun date night. :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

AWell just as I suspected I put on a few lbs this week. It's totally not a surprise. Between my cheat day yesterday, where I consumed a ton of ham and my TOM...it was inevitable..lol. Thankfully the weight from my TOM usually comes off quickly right after. Hopefully that's what will happen to these few pounds. Either way I'm not worried. Today it is back to the routine, so they will come off eventually. :)

AI always crave every food under the sun during my TOM. I usually have to stay away from the bakery in the local supermarket. o_O

AWell, today went pretty good. Food and exercise wise anyway. I've been a bit down all day... today it has been eleven years since by Dad passed away. So that's been bumming me out all day... which has made me want to stuff my face, but I haven't. Being an emotional eater really sucks. Ugh!

All I wanna do during that time is EAT. It's crazy..lol.

AWeighed myself today, and 2 of the 3 lbs I gained are gone. Which is kind of what I expected. I usually gain a few during my TOM and then they disappear rather quickly...which is nice. Hopefully the other pound is gone in the next few days. I'm sure I'll weigh myself everyday until it is. lol. :blush5:

Other than that, I don't really have anything new to report. It's been kind of boring around my house lately. Tonight my kids go their dad's. He has them every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night. Chef is coming over after he gets out of work, and we'll probably veg out and watch tv or movies. I dvr'd What's Eating Gilbert Grape yesterday.... one of my favorite movies ever. Love it! So maybe we'll watch that. :)
