Jen's Diary of Random Stuff.... Take Two!!

A
I would much rather be curvy than super skinny! Bleh! Once I get between 160-180, I'll be happy. :) Curvy girls are way sexier, I think!
Glad to hear you're feeling better! This year has been terrible for colds!

Thanks, and I couldn't agree more. Curvy is way sexier. :)

We are currently experiencing Snowpocalypse 2012 in Northern Michigan. We got a TON last night!

This is my back porch. Those branches don't usually go all the way to the ground. They are seriously weighed down by the snow. I heard part of our town was without power last night from tree limbs taking out power lines, and I believe it...lol

Holy crap.

Yeah, uh.. keep that shit away from PA please! Thanks :)

Be careful out there! I had to deliver in conditions similar to what you described not very long ago with the trees bending and falling all over the roads. No fun.

Thank you so much for posting that picture! I know I sound crazy but I just moved from New York to Florida and I miss snow so much. I'm sitting on my balcony right now in gorgeous 85 degree weather. It's my first winter ever without snow and it's weird!

Yeah, our county was under a State of Emergency for a while, from our roads being deemed impassable. Needless to say I didn't go aaaaanywhere today...lol!

You're welcome! I'll be happy to send you some. I have lots, and I'd love to share! I'm definitely jealous of the 85 degree weather...lol!

Well I got my exercise in shoveling today, that's for sure! My arms are buuuuurning and feel like jello....and that was just from doing the porches and a small walkway. The snow is so heavy it's ridiculous!

AI made a post about this in the feedback section, but I wanted to post this here as well, as I'm not sure people actually read the feedback section. lol. I ventured into the Newcomers section today and noticed that it is seriously neglected. There are many..MANY posts dating back weeks ago that received no response. I'm sure a good share of those people probably never returned because they didn't even receive a friendly 'welcome'. I, too, am guilty of neglecting it... I used to make a point of going in there once in a while and saying hi to the new people. So I just wanted to point that out to everyone that reads this. Even if you only go in there to say ... "Hi and welcome to the forum"...it's a big help and can make a difference as to whether people return or not. Soooooo.... that is all. Carry on. lol! :)

i'm glad i live in southern michigan!!
Right now, I wish I did too..lol.

It has been crazy here. School was closed today, for a storm we had FRIDAY night! What a mess it has been. There are still a ton of people without power. Churches have set up shelters for people to take showers and get warm. We now have more snow than we know what to do with, that's for sure. I can barely see over the snowbanks at the end of driveway to pull out..lol. And to think just a few short weeks ago we had maybe 6 inches of snow on the ground. We thought we weren't going to actually have a real winter this year...lol. We were definitely wrong. Really, reeeeeally wrong. LOL!

Right now I'm just praying that my kids have school tomorrow, because OH. MY. GOD. They are driving me insane. lol! How can two kids fight so much over seemingly nothing? hahaha. I don't get it. I just don't get it...lol! Please let there be school tomorrow. Pleeeease?!

Keep it away from PA, Jen! Keep it away :p

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya that you maintain your sanity until the snow melts a little :)

Btw, good point about the Newcomers section. I sometimes go on there too and say hello. My only problem is I usually have trouble posting just a 'Hello and Welcome.' I always feel the need to go into a little detail, and then I start becoming rather verbose and wordy :) Not a bad thing I guess, but it can get a little draining.

You're right though. It's good to just go on there and make new people feel welcome since it can be pretty scary putting yourself out there, even if there's no pics or real life info included!

I'm gonna try to do that more often :)

lol, Jen! I will refuse that parcel should it ever arrive! 'Return To Sender' :p

Ok, now I know how scary it is to post full-body pictures of yourself, but you know we're all nothing but supportive here :)

Personally, I think you have a beautiful shape! I know most women dislike having a 'large' bottom area, but I honestly find it quite attractive! Too skinny is just not appealing whatsoever, and most other fellas I talk to feel the same way.

However, on a man though, that's a different story! I'm kind of in a similar situation in regards to eating more than I should after a couple days. It's like, family dinners, invitations to go out, parties, etc.. they just keep popping up every week as of late it seems! In fact, just yesterday, I had an out-of-the-blue invite to go to my roommate's parent's house for dinner (pasta). Oh man. They're all italian too, so the meal was excellent and I was staaaaarving! :\ Bad combo. I ate more than I should have (lots of meatballs and sausages), but I ran for about 45min and polished off a little over 3 miles when I got home. Still managed about another pound of retention weight this morning, so I can't imagine how much I would've put on had I not run. But.. whatever. It's coming off!

And then, this weekend, we're having a birthday celebration by (surprise, surprise) going out to dinner! It'll be a combination birthday party for me and my Uncle - his birthday is on the 8th, mine on the 16th. Soooo.. dinner and cake. Hrmpf.

Alright, enough of my babble. This isn't my diary, hehe :p Sorry for the slight hijack, jen!

I'm proud of you for trying new methods of self-motivation though! Maybe I should try that as well, but I already have quite a few full-body shots of myself up already, so hrmm. I dunno :\

I'll just keep plugging along I suppose, as always.

And, again, I think you look great! :) But, since you're not comfortable with where you are right now, myself (and many others) will always be around to help and support!

I hope your motivation gets re-ignited and you update us with your continued progress soon, Jen :)

You have a totally gorgeous figure!!! What are you talking about?

Purple shirt, btw, is awesome. My favorite color. :) I even have a purple pair of Chucks! :coolgleama:

One of the many reasons I love this forum is because of all the supportive people. If it was any other forum...I wouldn't have even considered posting it..lol. And thank you, by the way. I just needed a new push, and this was the only thing I could think of at the time. I totally agree on the too skinny thing, for men and women. I will never be too skinny. I don't think I'm built for it to begin with....and I do like my curves. I just want to be a bit smaller, and look better naked..hahaha!

And yeah, you definitely have a lot of pics on here....so I'm not really sure what you're new form of motivation will be, but I'm sure you will find it. I have no doubt about that, Greg. :)

...and don't apologize for babbling. I welcome any babbling with open arms. :)

Thank you for the kind words! :) Purple is also my favorite color. And I'm jealous of your purple Chucks. I want to get a new pair so bad. I have to wait til all this messy wet snow is gone though. As soon as it's dry though, I'm so getting a pair..lol.

I am so incredibly sore this morning. Let's just say I "exercised" for couple hours last night..hahaha. ;) After having a not so good self esteem day yesterday, Chef definitely made me feel better about that. lol! If there's one thing I know for sure, he loves me just the way I am. :)

ASo yesterday went pretty well. Hopefully today will be the same. I'm not really sure what I'm going to be doing tonight. I have to work a little this morning, get my kids off to their Dad's house around 6, and then Chef is coming over after work. We'll probably end up watching movies or something. I have to really try not to snack tonight. That has been my downfall lately. So NO snacks for me! lol!

My current obsession: Counting Crows. Been listening to them for a couple days now. Love them!
Haha! That really is the best kind of exercise! ;)

AOk.... so I made a huge mistake this weekend. Well I made many mistakes this weekend, but I'll just focus on one. On Saturday Chef and I had to go over to Traverse City, which is the next town over from us. He had to pick up a new chef's coat that he had ordered and we wanted to do a little shopping. Anyway, we stopped at Taco Bell. Big mistake. Taco Bell is my favorite fast food place by the way, and tacos are my all time favorite food on the planet. I made the mistake of ordering one of their new Dorito tacos. O. M. G. So good. I only had one, but I could of easily eaten like 10 of them...lol! Luckily we don't have a Taco Bell in the town I live in. That will be the only thing that saves me from pigging out on Dorito tacos every day...lol!

I'm off to the grocery now to pick up some food for the week. I hope everyone had a great weekend! :)
