Jen's Diary of Random Stuff.... Take Two!!

AI weighed myself this morning and I'm up about a pound... I must be retaining from something. My calories have been really good, except for Tuesday....and then, they were only over by about 500, which barely qualifies as a cheat day in my book..lol. My calorie intake yesterday was 1300 exactly.

My attitude the last couple days has not been the greatest. Chef and I have been discussing some pretty important "life" things and what we want to do in the future. Of course we don't agree on some things, and it is really stressing me out. So I've been wanting to stuff my face pretty bad.

We are supposed to go out this afternoon. I have to take my dog to the groomer to get her a haircut, and it's a 3 hour appointment pretty much...basically you can't pick them up for 3 hours. So we'll have some time to waste. I'm not sure what we are going to do, but I'm afraid with how stressed out I am, it's going to involve a very large tasty meal.

I think with everything going on the last few days...I'm hoping to just stay the same when I weigh-in on Monday. Just typing that pisses me off though. I want a loss!!! lol! I'm just gonna cross my fingers though, hope for the best, and keep reminding myself that I'm allowed to have an off week every once in a while! :)

Could easily be the stress making you retain.. have noticed the same thing happens to me! So don't sweat it!

Hope you achieve your loss on Monday, but if you're discussing the 'heavy stuff', then don't hold your breath, lol! You'll have to post a picture of your pup, before and after - tell me you're getting her a Lion Cut! :D (And should also post one of yourself, too! 27lbs is a massive loss!)

AHope things get better for you Jen, and seriously great going on those 27lbs. Don't worry to much about the retention weight you are doing awesome, keep up the great work.

Best of luck for the weigh in Jen. With the amount of weight you have lost, there is bound to be a week which does not make sense - don't worry about it - your body will do the math and catch up!

AWell I weighed-in today, and I'm still hanging on to that extra pound of retention. I'm not deterred though. Just going to keep doing what I'm doing. It will work itself out. I am extremely tired this morning. I slept for 6-7 hours last night, but it doesn't feel like it at ALL. I think a nap is definitely in store for today.... if the kids will let me. Fat chance of that..lol.

Good mentality, Jen! :)

At least it's only a week! It could be worse and you could be in my position.. dealing with almost 5 months of ridiculousness ;(

Anyway, it'll work out for both of us eventually!

Stay headstrong! :]

AWell I think I have officially decided to change my weigh-in day to Saturday morning. My cheat day is usually Saturday, and that way I'll have an entire week to get rid of the cheat day retention before I have to weigh-in again. I just think it will work better for me. Sooo...that's what I'm going to do..lol.

This week has been an emotional rollercoaster. I won't go into it, but it's been extremely stressful. I'm not really sure how, but I HAVE managed to stay on track all week. And my sneak peek on the scale showed a loss, so hopefully it sticks through tomorrow's weigh-in. *fingers crossed*

Thanks Greg. And yeah, I'm trying my best to just keep doing what I know is right, and not worry. Things will catch up and work out. :)

AWeigh-in day!!

I took off that pound of retention... plus two more! Very happy! That brings my total to 29 pounds lost! One more pound to go to 30! That's just crazy to think about! lol!

I'm hoping that after Chef moves in, and the finances get a bit easier, that I'll be able to go buy a couple new outfits. Because pretty much everything I have right now is at least two sizes too big. I have one pair of pants that fit, and that's it. All my old ones are so baggy that's it's ridiculous looking. I have to say though.... I really don't mind. :D I am more than willing to put up with baggy clothes for a while, if it means I'm losing weight. lol!

I hope everyone else is doing good, and that you are all enjoying the weekend! :)

29!!! Giddyup!

Congrats, Jen! :hurray:

Hahaha, yes.. new wardrobe has been such a pain in the rump for me over the last few years. Having to continuously re-do your wardrobe is kind of tiring. For me, going from a 3-4x down to a Medium has proven to be quite pricey ;(

But, it's ok :) I still hang on to a few of my old shirts/pants just as reminders of how I used to be and what I refuse to go back to.

I have a of my 60x32 and 58x30 pants and a couple 3x shirts.

I'll keep my fingers (and toes) crossed that Chef moves in :)

So happy to see that you're continuing to have awesome results, Jen!

You've done so great and you continue to inspire me!

AThanks, Greg! You are definitely the inspiration though!

Chef will be moving in, in about two weeks...... eeeeeeek!

..... No, it'll be fine. I hope. *bites nails nervously* hahaha!

But aaaaannyways..... I'm hoping in another month or so I'll be able to buy at least a couple new things. I'm feeling pretty great, and I think new clothes will give me some extra motivation!

Goal is to hit 30 by Saturday!!! :D

ANot sure if I'm going to meet my goal by Saturday or not. Stepped on the scale today and it read 2 lbs higher. So between that and my TOM starting yesterday.... I just don't know. I've been eating great, so I'm not paying too much attention to the number right now. I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing and try not to eat everything in sight... which is what I WANT to do. :blush5: Stupid TOM! lol!

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for your Saturday goal! :)

AWeigh-In day! Sooooo close... yet so far away...lol! I lost just a hair under a pound. I'll take it. I'm sure within the week I'll be at my 30lb goal! :) Yay!

Chef and I are having a cheat meal tonight. He's doing great by the way....he's lost 17 lbs! Two more weeks til we leave for Cleveland, and have our final weigh-in for our little contest.... I'm pretty sure he's going to win, and I'll be doing something gross or eating something gross....or who knows what his mind thought up...hahaha! Scaaaary!

You look amazing, Jen! You can really see the difference in the way the shirt hangs on you - amazing work! Congratulations on the loss!

I'm not gonna be around much this month due to the trip (only a few days away, EEK!), but I will say, GOOD LUCK with the move, I hope everything goes well, and I hope you guys can support one another through the whole weight loss thing! Additionally, if Chef does 'win', then I hope your punishment isn't too awful, lol!

Best wishes and looking forward to reading about your updates in August! :hurray:

AI haven't posted in a few days.. I have been super duper busy! Chef went ahead and moved in this past weekend, so we have been sorting and moving stuff for days! My eating has not been the best either. Saturday was my cheat day, and then Sunday through today has been around 1400-1600 calories. Definitely not my best week, but we've been busy and eating out more. So hopefully I'll be able to get back on track soon. Although, we leave for Cleveland next Thursday...so yeah..gonna be bad that week..lol! Hope everyone else is doing well! Will catch up on diaries soon! :)

I hope the move in is going well! It's always a bit scary making big steps like that, but things will adjust. Having a big event like that I know can definitely throw off a diet, but I always try to get more exercise in to off set it, and having to move around furniture and unpack boxes definitely provides those extra opportunities! Great job on your progress so far and keep up the great work!
