Jenn's Diary

So, how about you try to hit 160 by end of April, and I'll try for 150 by end of April??

or we could go the route of 159/149 this way we each get into our next lower 10 range?

Sounds like a great idea! That way we can really keep each other motivated. Thanks!:D :D :D

I did end up going for that walk at lunch. Bit cold, but at tleast I got out there. Was only about 30mins, but very fast paced. The weather is so nice, a little cold, but the sun is still so awesome. I think my workout plan for theis weekend is to really try to get out skiing with my son, and hook up to bike trailer to my bike. That way I can bike him to the park to play, and I get a good work out!:D

P.S. I cancelled my dvds this afternoon when I got back from my walk. I figured why spend the money to walk indoors when it's so beautiful outdoors. Maybe next December I'll order them and my husband can give them to me for X-mas.;)

Great idea! Outdoor walking is wonderful. I hope you get lots of nice walks in. How's the weather there now? I'm leaving for Pickering in 25 days, so I'm crossing my fingers for some beautiful weather.

Hey Jenn! HOw's it going? I have been super busy lately, so I haven't had a chance to post in diaries that much! HOpe all is well. Let's kick some weight loss butt!

Hey Guys,

I've been busy at work, and trying to walk on my lunch hours, so I'm struggling to keep in touch.

Very disappointed this morning. Still up at 168. I've been trying to stay under on my calories and I have been workouting out again. So hopefully it is TOM that's trhowong things off.

I was out skiing on Saturday with my son. WHAT A WORKOUT! I was sweating like a pig. I was awesome. We "skiied" for about an 1.5hrs. I just wish I had taken him out earlier in the season. He loved it. So for sure noext season we will be out every weekend.

Sunday, he and I tried to stay out of the house while my husband slept (last night shift, for this season - YEAH!). So I got out his tricycle. Thankfully it has a push bar on it, to help keep him going. It was too cold to stay out that day, but we "biked" for about 20mins.

Monday, I went for my work at lunch - got .5hr in. Then after work, we played soccor outside for a while. Lots of fun.

I also set up a workout schedule for myself, till the end of May. Weekends for end of March and all of April consist of biking to the playground - as well as playing outdoors with my son. During the week it is walking on my lunch. I have also incorporated abs on the exercise ball, squats, leg lift, push ups and tricep dips. Each week until the end of April I will be increasing the amount I do, then it will be the same for the month of May. The plan in May is to bike and rollerbalde on the weekends, and walk during the week on my lunch. Also hoping to starting running in the evenings, once everything gets back to normal.

Doing well for calories today - hoping to stay under 1500. So I'm thinking with breakfast, lunch, and dinner I'm only bringing in about 1100 right now. So I have room for a snack tonight.

Take care, and I will try to get in here more often.

The skiing must have been great. I love skiing. Good for you, incorporating your son into your fitness. I guess it's hard to get time away from him, so why not just do things he can join in on? It makes sense. You've got the right idea.
Hope work isn't bogging you down too much! Take care.

Hey Jenn-

It sounds like you're staying quite busy, and having fun too. I think the best exercise is the exercise you don't even realize you're getting (like skiing). It sorta makes you feel like a kid again.

Be careful not to decrease your calories too much, especially if you're working out more. You don't want to bite your metabolism in the butt (I mean bum...to be more Canadian).

I think it's great that you have a workout schedule mapped out til may. I have mine done through April because I don't have my May schedule yet.

We are going to have such a great summer as slimmer versions of our current selves!

Keep up the great work!
Jen

Thanks, Jen!

Out for a walk today at lunch. Sun is beautiful, air is still chilly. My freckles are popping out all over my face!

Managed to get about 1400 calories last night, and 64 oz of water during the day. Struggling a bit with the water today, and currently at 485 calories for the day, but I don't know what to make for supper tonight. Hopefully I'll figure out something to please everyone's appetite, as well as stay in calorie range.

Still stuck at 168  . Really hoping it's TOMs fault. Got all my exercises in yesterday. Good for me.

Yesterday:
walk 30min - brisk pace
situps - 200 (100 on ball, and 100 on floor)
push ups - 5
tricep dips - 10
squats - 50
leg lifts - 50

Not much else to reflect on today. I will be taking my March measurements Friday morning to post month end. Wish me luck.

Awww freckles! How adorable! haha
Good luck with the measurements! Don't worry about the plateau, it'll budge soon enough. I understand that it's frustrating though. Your workout sounds great - nice combination of cardio and weight/resistance work.

So still no budge on the scale. Not feeling quite as bloated today though, so that's nice. I took my measurements this morning for the home body fat test - 29.2%. This seems more reasonable then the 24.9% yesterday. I have a big butt, hips, and thighs - however I have really muscular quads, leftover from my more athletic days. It's still under 30%, so I can deal with that.

Nice and sunny here today, however still very chilly. I'll be going out for a walk again today. We also have tot gym tonight, so that it always a good workout. Then I get the rest of my workout in after junior goes to bed.

Looks like the ski hill will definitely be closed this weekend. Oh well. If it's warm, we'll get the bike and trailer out, and head to the park. Still a little bit of snow left in the yard, and with all the morning frost we've had, still need to wait awhile before we begin yardwork. I'm really looking forward to that workout. I always seem to get a good ab workout raking.

I figured since I had my measurements today, I'd post them. Please look away if you get faint easily:
Thigh - 29"
Hips - 42"
Wrist - 6"
Calve -15.5"
Stomach - 34 or 35" (I didn't take that one today, so I can't remember the exact #)
Chest - 36 or 37" (didn't take this one either)
Weight 168

Yesterday:
walk 30min - brisk pace
situps - 200 (100 on ball, and 100 on floor)
push ups - 5
tricep dips - 10
squats - 50
leg lifts - 50

Well the scale budged today........ but not in the right direction. Hit 169 this morning:eek:

I guess I can't lay all blame on TOM, Went over my calories yesterday, and will definitely be over today. My head seems to be in a bit of a fog today, and can get off the eating urge. :(

Tot Gym last night was good. My son was very well behaved... until the end. Then he didn't want to go home, and kept running away from me. I got my walk in yesterday, just a short one though and I didn't get to my sit-up etc because we went out after supper. Not walking at lunch today because I am so drained.

I really need to get my act together for April. I want to see the 150s, even if it is 159.9! I just can't seem to find my groove right now. Plus with Easter coming.................

Anyhow, I'll chalk today up to stupidity and carry on. No reflects this month. Nothing really worth reflecting on, in the weight loss department.

Have a good weekend everyone - see you Monday.

Hi!

Just wanted to say Hi!

Good luck with the team challenge. Here's hoping we actually do become bikini babes by the end of it! :)

Hi Jenn!! Thanks for stopping by my diary!! We've got a great team!!

LETS ROCK THOSE BODS BIKINI BABES!!

Hey, I've never ventured to your journal before but i'm sure I'll visit it often now that we are teammates! Good luck on the challenge!

I haven't heard about this bikini babes phenomenon! I think this is something I'll have to take part in.
As for having nothing to reflect on, I disagree. You may not have seen the weight results you've wanted to see, but you're actively engaging in a healthier lifestyle and maintaining a healthier attitude, which is always something to be proud of. :)
