How ya doing? Hope you've had a good week. I've done pretty good this week but I'm having a birthday party for my son this weekend so I have to keep it together and not go overboard eating junk!!

Thanks SallieBean, You are so sweet.. You have a wonderful time at the birthday party. :party: That has to be the hardest when you have all that under your nose. Stay strong kid and I will too.

I have some company that is coming so will cook for them. This is week four out of 72 so I have 68 to get to my goal weight. Lost one more pound and so far I have not been too hungry. Only a couple of nights did I want to snack and have to keep my self in check. Nights are the worst. :smash:

I continue to be strong and motivated.

My SHORT TERM GOAL that I set at the start was in four months I would like to be at 210. If I can lose 1 pound a week I think I can meet my first goal. So far I have been doing better then that but as your body adjusts to losing it can have a mind of its own. I just have to stick to my plan.

Even with having company and cooking for them I was down one more pound this morning. That was a real nice surprise. :bigear:

So I continue to be very good most of the time. No real break downs. Nights have not been as bad as I thought they would be.
 
Starting my fifth week

Starting my fifth week and I feel even more motivated then I did at the beginning. I have drop and average of 3.75 pounds per week. Wow! I just wanted to lose at least 1 pound per week. So far I have kept my goal of nothing after dinner. I really think that has been by biggest reason for the weight loss being so good. I just watched a TV show, last night, on the science channel that did a study on people eating the same meal for breakfast and supper. Their glucose level would be a lot higher after supper even with the same meal. They said it is because our body is going in to rest mode at night and in the morning it is getting ready for work. The higher levels of glucose will be stored as fat. NOT GOOD. So the moral of this story is eat a good breakfast and lunch and eat light for supper and no snacks after supper. Not sure I can do the big breakfast thing and work.

Hi Jeanne,
NIce to read that you are doing well and have already lost so much weight! Great job on being able to quit eating after supper...that is a hard time for me...I am always hungry before bedtime...so I try to eat something light, if necessary!

Thanks for the postive thoughts. If I feel hungry after supper I just drink lots of water. So far so good...

Hey Jeanne - I am so happy that you are doing so well. I bet you can really feel the weight loss now. I always get so excited when I begin to feel my clothes getting looser on me - it's always great motivation.

I feel really wonderful this morning and I hope you do too. I am shocked that in four weeks that I have been on this diet I have had not one major weak moment. The only thing I can think is that my body is getting what it needs otherwise it would be letting me know.

I have stayed away from sugar about 98% of the time, eat fruits for snacks if I want them and eat three smaller meals a day. Oh and exercise first thing in the morning 5-7 times a week.

My clothes are getting loser, my face is getting thinner... yes it is very nice!

Down another pound this morning

:party: I down another pound this morning. Seems like it is coming off better then it ever has. Well expect when I was 25 then I could lose just by thinking about it. Looks like I am on my way to meeting my first goal of losing 27 pounds in four months. Might do it sooner if this keeps up.. ya never know.

Still feel great too. When I feel hungry I eat something good for me.

I had to work this weekend some long hours. Wow I could feel it on Monday and Tuesday. I am doing much better today thank goodness. Just too old to work so much. I dropped another pound :smilielol5: in the process. It has to be good for my old body to get rid of all this weight.

Hi there SallyBean, So good of you to pop in. I have not been so good about logging in of late. I hope you have time for your exercise. It gets tough to get it in when you get busier and busier. I think my work has slowed up just a bit so I anticipate I will do better this week. I hope you are not having the same time issues that I am having with too much work. It has been a little harder of late to eat all the good stuff too. I need to get my mind back in the diet game. Not that I have been bad just not as motivated as I was. :banghead:

Well I think I need to go do some of that exercising and then get to work.

Hey Jeanne,

I know what you mean about being busy. My job has picked up and my son is back in school, so we really have to get back on track with our routines. It's funny how slack you get in the summer. I'm proud that I have stayed on track especially with my walking - I'm enjoying it more and more. My husband and son (and his jack russell 'Mojo') will soon be joining me every evening on my walks. I really want to teach my son healthy habits now - he is already a little heavy for his height and age and I sooooo do not want him to struggle all his life with weight issues like I have.

Dang me anyway.. I just have not been good enough to lose any weight. I have allowed my self to have too many little no no's. Did not gain any but will never lose any more at this rate. I must get my motivation back again. I lost it somewhere a few weeks ago. I am going to try again to get back on this and lose the next 20 pounds. Ok here I go again.. need to exersize

Well the good news is I have been eating healthy and lost another pound. I have not exercised as much as I should be. As my login implies I work too much and do to exercise enough. I checked and I have four pounds to meet my first goal. I need to work harder at this.

Good to see you back, Jeanne! I have been wondering about you. Good that you didn't gain any weight back. Sounds like you are ready to go again...good luck! You can do it, girl!
