Fantastic weekend, Janvier. And you woke up at 1.30am to do P90X. You crazy woman. You had such a good weekend. Like Lisa said, this is so totally your month.

How was the SATC movie? Its been getting really really bad reviews and the preview clips I saw were just sooo bad. But it is SATC, so....Would love to know what you thought about it.
 
Hey Janvier!! AWESOME WEEKEND!! I'm so jealous of Px90 - I want it bad but have to wait till June 18th. I can't wait to feel the burn! I know what you mean about not feeling like you did enough if the sweats not pouring off! I'm so excited for you and those dvds - this is totally going to be your month! Mine too because I am 100% committed to busting some butt and meeting my goal this month! Hopefully by the bachellorette too!
I'm so glad you had a good weekend and are in positive spirits this morning!! No more funk for you! Except maybe the smell after the Px90 dvd's!! Looking forward to hearing more about the dvd's so please update us daily! Have a great Monday!!

Thanks Lisa, it was the first good weekend in a longgg time and felt really good! I can't wait until you get your P90X so we can so it together and discuss it. If you wern't getting it so soon I would of copied it and sent it to you. You WILL feel the burn lol. I am glad we are both committed to this month to do well, I am really looking forward to you getting to your goal. LOL I was very funky after sunday's workout :ack2:.

Thanks Juni! Lol, what can I tell ya? When I commit to work out I REALLY commit lol. I'm such a night owl too, I always workout at night, thats when I have energy.

SATC was really good in my opinion! I have no idea why its getting such bad reviews, I really liked it and can't wait for it to be out on dvd to watch it again. If you watched the show and like the girls you will like it!
 
Wow, Janvier, you kicked butt, seriously. What on earth got you so pumped to workout at 1:30 in the morning?! Look, High fives to you is all I'm saying. You have a lot of energy, why don't you throw some of that over here to me. Send it through the mail, a postcard or something. You go girl.
 
For my sautted cabbage I use a cooking spray, ie/ Pam, let the frying pan get really hot, spray it with the Pam spray and toss in a lot of shredded cabbage with some salt and black pepper, if I'm not being lazy I would add some onions and garlic to it or if I'm wanting more of a stir fry I add baby corn, green peppers and mushrooms as well. Super yummy which ever way you do it. I love cooked cabbage, how do you make yours?

Okay, LOL, sauteed, I guess that's kinda like my fried, or what I call it. I use pam, shredded cabbage, onion, green peppers, red, yellow, squash, zucchini, splash of hot peps, and season all. All the other times, I kinda get an idea in my head and just start making up stuff. I have this spicey red cabbage that I make with chicken bouilon cubes, three to four tables spoons of tomato paste, and water. I add black pepper, not too much because the tomato paste tends to hold on to the spice, and not alot of water either. Then I add shrimp. The combination of the broth and the tomato make it so good.

I do turkey legs and cabbage.
Ground beef and cabbage, and so forth, usually with alot of different veggies, but everyone loves the broth and tomato I do.
 
So yesterday went well, I fell asleep after dinner, I was so beat and I think my body aching beyond belief all day wore me out too. I woke up at about 10pm and had 3 slices of bodywise bread (150 calories) with about 1/2 of an avacado... I wasn't even hungry, I saw my sister eating it and wanted it. I was tempted to open a bag of crispy minis after that but decided not to make it a night of cheating so I stopped there. I wasn't thrilled about my cheating but it could of been worse. I changed to work out, limped down the stairs wondering how in the world I was going to get through my workout but I did! It was a shoulders and back workout, I think what he does is an "easier" day then a tough day and I was relieved because I would not of been able to do any cardio. It was all weights and there was only one move out of the whole thing I couldn't do. I felt good after it was over. This morning I got on the scale and was up 2 pound from Friday!!! What the hell??? It really got me mad and I thought I could of just had those cripsy minis last night lol. I have no idea why I'm up, but its very frustrating, especially when my body hurts this much, it feels like its for nothing. Once again I planned to do my stepper this morning but my body hurts way too much to even think about it. Hopefully tomorrow. Here is what today looks like:

Breakfast: omlette- 1/2 cup of cheese and chives egg beaters (70 calories), onions, mushrooms, sun dried tomatos and asparagus and ff yogurt

Snack: 1 cup of pineapple chunks and 3/4 cup of dry cheerios

Lunch: Uncle bens bistro express

Snack: green apple

Dinner: steamed broccoli and coliflower and lean cusine

Workout: P90X and a walk (fingers crossed that I can)
 
Hey Janvier!!! I heard P90x is super hard. I am so proud of you. You are doing so well. Don't worry about the 2lbs. Drink your water and it will flush it self out. Keep up the good work!!!!!
 
Yesterday was okay, could of been better, yesterdays P90X was yoga, it was an hour and a half and 45 minutes in my dvd stopped working- to be honest I was a little relieved, It was pretty hard and toooo long! And I'm in too much pain to be stretching my body so much. Oh well, I at least did 45 minutes of it. I was a little frustrated with the dvd shutting down and my 2 lbs up from the morning that I went home, and had quite the binge. I had that bag of crispy minis that I have been thinking about for days...I'm not buying those for a while...Had 3 special k bars and 2 slices of toast, one with sf jam and one with ff cream cheese! :puke:

I don't even think I felt too bad about it, I was too grumpy to care. Its that stupid 2 pounds. And on top of it I think I'm retaining my fluids, my feet and hands are swollen, I think I have been having wayyyy too much salt lately. I set my alarm to get on the stepper this morning and just turned it off and ended up sleeping way in. I'm still a bit grumpy today, I was hoping for a good number for Friday but its looking like it won't happen, my clothes are so tight on me and its just really bothering me, I did really horrible in May, I did a lot of gaining and its really just getting to me. Here is what today looks like:

Breakfast: Omlette- 1/2 cups of egg beaters, mushrooms, onions, sun dried tomatos and asparagus. ff yogurt

Snack: 1 cup of pineapple chunks and 110 calories of popcorn clusters

Lunch: 1 sf jam sandwhich (2 slices of body wise bread and 1 tbsp of sf jam) and 1 ff cream cheese sandwhich (2 slice body wise bread with 1 tbsp of ff cream cheese)

Snack: 1 mango and 3/4 cup of dry cheerios

Dinner: Lean cusine and sauteed cabbage

Workout:p90X
 
Hey, how many times have you told me to not worry about how bad I did, or my weight gain? So many times you let me know that whatever happened has already happened and it is time to just get back to it, so i am here to use your own advice on you. 2 measley pounds. That's all. You have come so far, remember that. Just take a look at your before and afters, the proof is not in the pudding, it's in those pictures. You've done a fantastic job, pat yourself on the back, smile, drink some water for the swelling, and know that you are going to get back on track, because that is what you do. You kick yourself in the butt and get going again.

Last night I had more than normal because I went to the gym late and then a big tea right before bed and didn't even wake up once to pee - I normally go twice in the night!
I bet the first week starting Px90 is the toughest - you sound like you are doing really well though - I bet a lot of people don't even get through the first dvd in the first week! I can imagine you are really feeling it though! That yoga one sounds so long - I can't imagine doing it for that long! I need to buy a new dvd player too - two of ours broke last week!
I binged on crackers and jam last night too - let's put it behind us and have a perfect day today! I'm getting up again tomorrow for another perfect day tomorrow too! I need two in a row to even begin to see a loss Friday - I'm up too and I think it's from holding all this water - could have been from the weekend too so I don't know. We just have to keep going! Hopefully it works out for both of us and we come back tomorrow to update our perfect days! I know you can do it!

Taking your own advice can be so hard sometimes. But thank you for reminding me that I have come a really long way, that is so easy to forget when you get caught up in losing weight. I will definitley take your advice and mine and re-focus and keep going! Thank you for the support and encouragement!

Thank you for being proud of me, that means a lot to me! It is super hard and my body is exhausted and in a lot of pain from it lol, hopefully its worth it. I'm doing my best with the water, thank you for the tip!

It sounds like we are both retaining water this week and not doing perfect on our diets, but I am optimistic that we will turn that around and do well.

The P90X is hard but not as hard as I thought it would be, you just REALLY feel it! No pain no gain though right? The yoga is way too long, and its hard yoga too, not calming yoga. I don't know that I would ever do it for the full hour and a half. I can't wait until you get yours so we can compare notes!
 
So yesterday had its ups and downs, I didn't do perfect with eating but I did pretty great with working out!

Right before I finished work I got the idea of a cookie in my head and just had to have it :ack2:, I got one of those giant chocolate chip cookies from starbucks and ate it so fast it was unreal. Other then that I ate well all day and stuck to my meal plan.

After dinner I was really dreding working out and kept thinking maybe i should skip a day...maybe I shouldn't...maybe I'll watch a little more tv and see how I feel...

It was seriously only going to be my 5th day of P90X and had no valid reason to skip a day so I dragged myself up and did it! It was legs and shoulders day...boy did he ever work those legs! there were lots of lunges and squats and pull-ups and leg raises. I was soaked and beat! My legs and shoulders are KILLING me today! I decided I had to burn off that cookie when I was finished with my workout and decided to hop on the stepper for an hour! I was surprised that I was willing to do that, but I needed to teach myself a lesson for cheating to see just how much work it is to burn off one cookie. Its so easy to eat, so much energy to burn off. By the end of the hour I burned 815 calories- so even if that cookie was 300-400 calories I still burned some extra calories. I felt great about what I did and I am trying to make today perfect with food and excersice. I'm in a much better mood today and hoping it last all through the weekend. My bloating is and water retention is much better too thanks to one of my moms water pills and lots of water.

I was doing that last night before kettle bell too! It wasn't until 7:30 and usually by that time I'm comfy on the couch and not getting up unless it's to go to bed so it was hard to make myself go. I thought about taking a day off and then remembered it was my last chance workout and got up and went. I felt so good after that I did!
You are amazing that you did the stepper for a full hour after Px90! Your nuts and I love it! I really miss waking up and feeling like I've worked my body so hard - I would love to ask other people that went to kettle bell last night how they feel because I feel great and when I first started I could barely walk for two days after. I know I'm getting stronger but I'm also trying harder so I should still feel it I think. Makes me think I need to step it up and the only way I can think of is Px90 so I can't wait!

lol, I love when I'm nuts and push myself that hard. Now if I could stop eating bad things I would be set.

I know exactly what you mean, I like a workout that makes me sore so I know I worked hard and worked muscles that haven't been worked in a while, but P90X is a different breed of sore, its more like extream pain lol. My body is still killing me, my calves are so tight and sore, I have never ever been this sore from a workout...but I do love it lol. I can't wait until you get yours!

Hi Njoyabl,

I can't wait to see what my results are going to be like too! I do have the pull up bar but have not used it yet, you have an option of using bands as well and I am doing the bands for the first round to gain up strength in my upper body first otherwise I would probably only be able to do one pull-up and not get much of a work out. Other then the pull bar all you need is a mat and either weights or bands. It is quite the workout, every muscle I have hurts but I am seeing definition in my arms and calves already!
 
I ended up having a day off on Friday so I didn't get to update. I was down 2 lbs for my weigh-in which was great even though it put me at 131 pounds. I am really really hoping to be back into the 120's for this Friday.

I didn't do good at all on Thursday or Friday- Between both days I had way too many cookies, a cinnamon bun and deep fried yam fries and didn't workout at all. I decided I wan't going to be binging all weekend so I was good for saturday and Sunday and did P90X and the stepper for an hour on Saturday and 2 P90X workouts back to back last night to make up for missing 2 days. I am really feeling it today but its not as crazy hard as I thought it would be, I really like it.

I am being good today, here is what it looks like:

Breakfast: 1/2 cup cheese and chives egg beaters scrambles with onions and sun dried tomatos and silhouette satisfaction ff yogurt (first time trying it and HATE it! It tastes like chalk!)

Snack: 1 and 1/2 cups cantalope and 3/4 cup dried cheerios

Lunch: Uncle bens bistro express

Snack: banana

Dinner: steamed veggies and lean cusine

workout: P90X and the stepper

Crush update!: I forgot to update last week- okay so my work friend finally told him! She told him that she thinks I'm into him- he was shocked! He had no idea and said that he would of never guessed in a million years. He told her that he thinks I'm "really hot" but said he has too much going on with his ex who has been in and out of his life and some other girl he was seeing. I was pretty pleased with the outcome, I haven't been called hot by anyone since my breakup a year and a half ago so it was a nice confidence booster. I decided to just be his friend now that the ball is in his court, because even though I really like him I don't want him to feel pressured into anything. So today at work he called me about a program that he is new to and asked if I would help him if he got into trouble with it, I said of course and told him to call if he needed me, sure enough, he called! I went to his office and all of the work was done, I just looked everything over and told him he did great, he clearly didn't need my help so I thought that was interesting. - I sound like I'm 12 years old lol. Anyway- that is my crush update for the day.

You make P90X sound fun, well besides the first few days of pain! LOL! No pain, no gain though. But seriously to hear someone else who is going through it explain what it is like at first and then how it gets easier, not long after makes it seem very doable. Seeing improvements in your body so soon too, I'm sure is very motivational. Sounds like you are doing a good job. You are pretty disaplined. ( I think I spelled that wrong, idk).

Well, so your crush thinks you're hot! Great plan, be his friend, you already know he is attracted to you, now, the ball is in his court, and you don't have to wonder anymore about whether he is attracted to you or not. YOU'RE HOT!
