James's Journal (And Alternate Alliteration)

HAH, you're such a jerk. So a man gets excited both about his military press, and about super cheap disk space in the same breath. I'm good at figuring out the computational logic behind what I do on the computer, and I'm good at picking up heavy-ass chunks of metal.

More space for me to store my continued attempts to design 3d environments using Maya = good news for me.

Bah

first you called me a dog yesterday now you say i'm a jerk - wow generally when people don't like me - I've given them a reason...

Oh man... Gametime decision, and I went with Delts... Bad idea. Fifth set, I had one of my 110's up in position on my right shoulder (my bad one), and I was kicking up my left weight, and my sweaty hand slipped on the weight, and I spent ~10-15 seconds trying to balance everything out before just dropping the weights. It was awful, and now both of my shoulders are completely torn up, and I feel like yacking...

fuggin great... That's what I get for talking about how injury prone I am. Hopefully the pain goes away in a few days.

ouch - sounds like you need to wrap yourself in bubble wrap or something.. :)

popping you could certainly be fun...

do take care of yourself...

I'm goin home tomorrow... mommy will take care of me. I'll be stuffed so full of turkey and baked cheese grits and green bean casserole that I'll HAVE to recover.

I made sure to get a traveler's pass from my golds, so I'll be good for the workouts, though.

nice to have a mom that can cook and get you on the mend...

you might want to take it easy on the workout for a few days though..

Lots to do that don't touch my delts. Plus, I could even take a day or two to focus on some steady state cardio and interval training (prep for my cutting which starts when I get back from my thanksgiving trip).

I just had an interesting idea. I might start taking a picture of myself every day starting with the start of my cut, until the first game of the spring season, then string it into a movie (like the ones that you see on the net).

I know it has been done, but I'm steadily dropping fat now without much cardio or portion control. When I throw those in, and start having practices, it is going to melt off, and I thought it would be interesting to catalogue like that.

You're talking to the wrong man about how to prevent that, darlin. I have had surgeries to repair my knee twice, to pull a shard of my long finger metacarpel that had broken and gone up into my wrist, to fix a seperated and dislocated shoulder, I have had to have a tooth pulled out of my head and my whole eyebrow sewn back up, and I have broken almost every finger, and dislocated most of them. I am "injury prone", and after EVERY friggin time, when I have to sit on my ass and watch my friends keep going, I turn really black. Only thing that ever helped much was getting laid a lot, but you gotta have someone really special to keep on keepin on while you are on pain meds, and wacked out.

Aww that sucks! I was just wondering how you dealt with being down for the count, I'm getting bummed out about my tiny little minor injuries, makes me feel old (and I'm 25 :p)

I'm injury prone too man.... and much the same way. The combination of not being able to compete and not being able to train would crush me. I can say though that my injuries have made me 10 times more well-read on the subject. Every time I was hurt, I'd buy and read everything I could get my hands on. Figured if I can't train the body, might as well train the mind.

That's a great way of dealing with it! :D

Hay James, I enjoyed snooping through your relationship stuff, pretty interesting the way things worked out. I wish you the best of luck, you seem very sweet! :)

Hah, thanks. Don't let the soft words fool you, though... it's all a big facade... I'm a jerk down deep.

Just lookin out for ya skippy, want to keep you healthy :)

So, I've been thinking about what I want to do lifting wise when I get into season. I know it is a while off, but I'm just thinking ahead, and it'll be interesting to see what ACTUALLY happens when I get into it, and am all bruised and scar'd up, and am fighting to keep my bad ankle from shitting the bed, versus what I plan out now. Usually, clubs will run two practices and one game/tournament per week during the season.

Practices will probably be M W (makes the most sense), and if that is the case, then I'm probably going to switch from my current 4 day push/pull alternating legs split to a 2-day full body workout on Tu-Th. I normally don't like doing a full body workout, because if I am hitting my muscles hard enough to do good, I am not going to have enough concentration left in me to ensure that I hit every muscle group as good as possible. Seems like that'd work well with the overall fatigue I'm going to be fighting, at least at the start of the season, till my muscles get more accustomed to the different activity. Hopefully the SSP I'm going to be starting here soon will acclimatize my body to the rigors at least a LITTLE bit. I'm still expecting not being able to walk the day after the first practice, when all of those little stabilizers that I can't hit as hard on my own shit the bed, but maybe that'll only last the next day, as opposed to MULTIPLE days.

I have been rocking the SHIT out of Sublime this afternoon, and god do I feel friggin amazing. It's ~55 here, but when I get home, I'm gonna throw on a windbreaker, and take my pup out on a nice walk.

AND I HAVE OFFICIALLY WON CHRISTMAS!!!

My sibblings and I are planning a surprise vacation for the entire family (well, a surprise for my mom and pop) to the smokey mountains for late march. Hiking, camping, campfires, fishing, hanging out.

TOTALLY my idea. My two sibblings who are in college loved the idea, and are scraping together extra cash now to help make it happen. The fourth child, the little little "oops" child is being kept out of the loop due to her inability to keep anything secret.

Bad part about it is that I now have to buy 2 plane tickets from LA to here, and 3 from St. Louis to here. Gonna hurt the 'ol pocketbook a bit, but it's going to be awesome.

LOVE it... so excited...

Hey, James. Thanks for inviting me to the MH4L club...but I think I am a little (LOT) unqualified for it!!!

That's cool about your Christmas--should be a fun time for you and your family.

LMAO@ your explanation of why you are the way you are--1/2 Swiss, 1/4 Irish and 1/4 German.

Tonight I was looking through a Bed, Bath and Beyond ad, and they had the perfect gift for you--it looked like a back scratcher at first, but it's actually a back hair shaver...lmao!! Put that on your wish list...:smilielol5::smilielol5:

Sorry you've had so many injuries. I hope your mommy kisses your booboos and makes you feel better. :)
