Jaclyn's diary

Thanks so much for your support girls! Ah, KC, aren't gallstones the worst thing ever?! I can't believe you put up with it for so long. It was like, five or six months or so for me. It was so awful. I'm glad to be rid of the thing. I'm glad you're rid of yours too!

Sunshinegirl, you're a veg?! Excellent! We'll have to share ideas. I feel so bad that I haven't been hitting everyone's journals lately. This semester is tormenting me!

Amomono, it's a race!

Oy everyone. This week has been insane. I had a story due today and a paper due Thursday, plus I have to take this math test on Thursday morning and if I don't pass it I can't take classes next semester. And I'm horrible at math! So I've been so stressed and I'm panicking. Sunday I worked on my story, had a meeting at work, grocery shopped, and cleaned my house. Monday I worked and then worked on my paper. Today I had class and then I went to the math lab and studied for my test for FOUR AND A HALF HOURS, which was torture, then came home and did my regular work. Tomorrow I work at 8:30 and then have class at 6, which goes to 9, and I'll get home around 10 and study more math. Thursday I have the test at 8:30, then two classes, then I work 4-midnight. Friday I work until 10, and then Saturday I work at 8:30! AHHHHHHHHHH. I'm so stressed. Dan keeps telling me he misses me and wants to see me and I want to see him too, but I'm such a mess that I told him we have to wait until the weekend. He's being very sweet about it though, leaving me messages and what not. He's good. I'm such a wreck though. I'm so so so sorry for not writing in your journals! I miss you guys too!

Oy vey...I'm a bum. The good news is, I realized my scale was off. I weighed myself this morning after I fixed it and I'm 170! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

So this morning- i have my Nutri grain pancakes and I decide to bust out the Morning Star veggie bacon. I almost didn't make it. I had a VERY hard time getting it down... I am think that it might be better on an acutal sandwich or something...how do you feel about the bacon funkky? Any other veggie meats you can recommend?

Whoo hoo you are down 70lbs! I am so happy for you!! You've been working so hard. Can you believe you only have 25lbs left? That is amazing, you are such an inspiration, keep it up!!

OMG! Sunshine Girl! I love the veggie bacon! So do several of my friends and my boyfriend who are non vegetarians. How did you make it? I actually do it in the frying pan. Spray the pan with PAM, then cook on each side for a few minutes, so it's crispy. I love that stuff. It is also good as a BLT. I'm a big fan. If you made it in the micro it probably wasn't very good.

Thanks Gonnab2cute! It's so crazy, what we can actually accomplish when we put our minds to it.

Breakfast:
Life in skim (150)

Snack:
Light Far Free Yogurt (100)

Lunch:
Veggie Quesadilla (300)
Some chips and queso (200)

Dinner:
Morningstar Veggie Chick'n Strips (100)
Mashed Potatoes (200)
Cranberry Sauce <3 (150)

Dessert:
Slim a Bear Klondike Bar (170)

OKay Sunshine Girl, here are the Morningstar things I love:
Veggie Bacon
Parmesan Ranch Chik Patties
Spicy Black Bean Burgers
Veggie Buffalo Wings
Honey Mustard Chik Strips
Veggie Steak Strips
Veggie Chik'n Strips
Veggie Crumbles
Veggie Corn Dogs
Fajita Burgers
Chik Nuggets

Seriously, they're all so good when you cook them right. Don't ever nuke them in the microwave, that ruins them. Cook them how you would cook real meat, and they come out so much better. How long have you been a veg? Morningstar and The Good Deli are my favorite. The Good Deli has salami slices and ham slices I love, but they're hard to find. I'm not a huge fan of Boca stuff, but a lot of beginners like Boca better. I'm an old timer though, so I know where it's at. :)

Ok, so I have literally been a vegetarian since June. It hasn't been all that hard- I just have a hard time cutting down my portions because now that im not eating meat, i feel like i need more. I just need to get used to eating a little bit less. I love the "chik'n patties" and pretty much everything else that they make. I did microwave the bacon, and it was horrible. I couldn't even eat the second piece. The only other thing that did not agree with me, was the fake steak. not so hot. I will try cooking the bacon on the stove next time, and see if I like it better. I want to try and find those meats you were talking about... maybe Whole Foods will have them, I will look and let you know what else I find.

I personally love your forum because I have been on a flippin diet for like oh I don't know, 7 years now- and I have been up and down like no tomorrow. I just want it to be over with- and to be healthy. I am going to have to start working out- because I know for myself this is the only thbing that works, along with diet. I need to really watch my portion size too. I don't know. it's all kinda depressing sometimes

Jackyn.....how much is the morning star food?...Is it real expensive? I dont want to be a vegetarian....but i think it cant hurt to have some of that stuff around.

So..your a lost addict?..lol...so is my mom....last month when she went to my sisters they got her hooked on it....I told her I would get her the first season on dvd so she can watch it....she told me hell no..she wanted something else because she can rent the dvd at her video store....lol

Its also that totm for me....and tonight I was craving something sweet....but it was after 8 pm....and I have made a promise not to eat after then......it was pretty hard to resist....but I did it and the urge is gone now.....thank God!

Hey girl, Your doing great! I'm sure I've said soemting before, but I'd like to see before and after pics!
