It's time to set up some Mini Goals! :)

I have not felt this miserable since 3 years ago at my highest weight ever of 197.8

I remember that feeling and even though I'm not that weight, I feel like I am..

I'm so ready to GET OUT of the 180's!!

(1 Month Mini Goal) Deadline: June 9th - Reach the low-end of the 180's (184 or lower) Plus a loss in inches.
**Complete** Walk It Off In 30 Days For once I'd like to Finish what I've Started!

(3 Month Mini Goal) Deadline: August 9th - Reach the low-end of the 170's (174 or lower) Plus losses in inches.
I feel with my age/medical issues this is very challenging but realistic as well.

How are your feet doing, Stacy? I´m glad to see you´re doing so well, despite not feeling it yet!

I will be 43 on May 28th

You're 3 days older than me!

Good luck on fighting your temptations AND your family! I know the pain; my wife often wants to take walks, but they're at a leisurely pace and hardly burning any calories, and I have to be the jerk that says "No, I need to burn some fat..." Perhaps I can do the leisurely walk AND row later on? Always looks better on paper...

LaMaria: Hi ya doll! :hug2:
They are hanging in there since I do not do the "Park Walking" any longer. :frown: I'm soooooo tempted to just see if they can handle once a week?
This stinks so bad bc Park Walking is my favorite and so relaxing bc it is a scenic trail. Over 3 miles.
My weight came off so much faster as well when that was part of my weekly routine. My long legs are great for speed walking! I can do the entire trails in 1 hour and 10 minutes! I think it's 3.5 miles - A little confused now bc they added on to it which made them change the mileage on the park website.
Where it used to end is now extended to reach even further to the busy part of Garland which wraps around apartments, the Dart Bus Station, Wal-Mart/other shopping & goes up the service road of I-30 and ends at another apartment complex. I'm pretty sure my reading last year via pedometer said 3.5 miles. I would have to walk it again to know.

LJ: :p Well Booooo that I'm older! ;) lol
I was Born on Memorial Day. :hat::patriot:
Every 7-8 years the 28th will fall on Memorial Day.
Growing up and even early into my married life and being a mom, my family used to make a big deal out of the whole thing.
I really enjoyed it. Since it's a Holiday my family holds dear (many that served/serve in the Military), We always combined my birthday with Memorial Day even when it didn't fall on the 28th. The whole family would come to my parents for a huge Texas Style BBQ event/cookout. Around 40 of us.
The best memory I have is that it was the 28th * Memorial Day * AND I turned 28. Pretty neat. :)

:D:rotflmao:I'm the same way! I walk so fast bc of my long legs and hubby gets so frustrated. When I try to slow down then he takes it as me bein' smarty bc I look silly.. My body just doesn't know how to be leisurely..

My birthday is May 18th & I don't think I will say how much older than the 2 of you I am :blush5: I don't feel it though :D
I must get back into walking again. It is so good for you, especially outdoors. I have very long legs too & walk fast. It gets me into trouble on the golf course & some of the women complain. It is so hard to stroll!

Let's face it, slow walkers are frustrating :D I just feel like saying COME OOOOON!!!! the whole time haha.

Age is just a number :D

Your birthday memories sound lovely, Stacey :)

Tip for walking with slow people (I feel your pain, btw): do something strenuous before going for that slow walk and don´t treat the walk as exercise. It´s time spent with nice people, without the temptation of sitting down near cake. That´s a win!

We never really had a big to-do for Memorial Day, and birthdays were pretty subdued, too. In fact, I kind of like that my wife's family is more event-driven; my BDays are a lot more special now!

Glad I'm not the only one who views walks as opportunities for real exercise!

Everyone: Hahahahaha! :D;)

Wouldn't it be fabulous if we could all walk together!?! :applause: We could have T-Shirts made! :p I have always wanted to be a Pink Lady!
We could enter speed walking races and WIN every time just with our normal stride! :biggrinjester:

Forgot to mention that son has even made comments...Said I look like the classic "Big Foot" footage... The long steps with arms swinging..
What a brat. lmbo... :rotflmao:

Sons are the cheekiest! Both of ours are very cheeky. They say things no-one else would ever get away with. Enjoy your hair-cut :D

Stacyyyy...love seeing this new diary of yours!! Keep up the good work darling...you always have to remember that you are doing this for YOU...yes, yes...with support is always easier/greater to do...BUT, perhaps the best way to get your point across (both to hubby and son) is SHOWING them your strides...stick to your health schedule...when temptation comes, RESIST...if they are the ones tempting you, then play it off saying "When I am all hot and sexy with my new body and healthy as I've ever been...........the last thing on my mind will be that (say name of FOOD being offered)!" - in other words, STAY STRONG...it's never too late to make this kind of change in life (inside and out), be confident and take control of your health my friend........if you are able to do that, then I am sure this will caught their attention......maybe even inspire them, or if not...I am confident, that at the very least, THEY WILL BE VERY PROUD OF YOU AND YOUR HARD WORK! ;-)

Sending you a big hug!!

:D That haircut fits the arm-swinging long strides... Wouldn´t it be fun to have t-shirts made and appoint a walking day on which we ALL go hiking in our own area, pretending to be part of this major event?

Even at two and a half, and lagging vocabulary, my son manages to be cheeky. If my wife sleeps in a little too long, he hands her the slippers and declares "No go bed, Mama, need these shoes, me need JUICE!"

I don't look good in pink t-shirts, but I'm witcha on the walking.

:biggrinjester: Ready for our Team Walk!

Cate: Actually, he is so much like me..lol... I don't mean this snobby, lol.... But I am pretty witty, clever & funny... I was always the "Class Clown" and have pretty much kept those around me laughing. :)

Thanks so much. My new Mini Goals are in place and I'm going to reach them!

LaMaria: View attachment 23724 I love my new cut, so the cousin IT hair is now over. :D
I am SO on Board with us picking a day to truly do that and then report back on how it went - even pics?
Sounds fun and inspiring! :applause: Cate/LaMaria/Everyone: Maybe in a week? You will see why re: me and my update..lol

LJ: So Precious! ;)
At that age my son would say, "Mama...Me want apple-a-juice... OR "Mama, Oj-Oj."
Then, there were the BARNEY discussions... "MaMa, where did Barney go?!!" ME: "He is on vacation!"
Those were the times I hid all the tapes so I could get a much needed break! HA!

o_O Tuesday until now has been so OFF...
No work outs... PMS and have felt so run down and just NO energy.. Dumb tom arrived yesterday...
It's 2016....You'd think by now they would have a solution for those of us that really suffer and have major issues during this time without being told to have major surgery.. (hysterectomy) *sigh*
At least I have stayed on track with food which is a MIRACLE considering. ;)

Bloated and Cramping today I tell ya.

On top of all this, poor hubby is still trying to get rid of pneumonia and his snoring has become worse this week. I have not had much sleep/rest.
Thank goodness the den is coming along well and almost finished. We just got a futon that has a real coiled mattress.
Better Homes & Garden...Beautiful and Comfy!

Just have to get the room organized and curtains up now re: being able to have room to actually use it when needed!
May have to sleep there a couple of nights to just be able to recharge.

:waving:Well, time ta scoot outta here.. I have a lot of couponing to finish and get my grocery list finished. Gotta make sure and get to the store tomorrow!
Our weather has been a big issue this week to! I cannot stand T-Storm/Tornado Season.
The past two nights have been spent glued to the local news and weather channel.. Sirens were going off last night bc of the high winds and cloud to ground lightning. At one point I was almost in ZuZu's crate with her! Really bad lightning event! Lasted for over an hour. Heavy rain as well.
I'm so tired... :drooling: lol ... Finally ended around 3AM

Well, it stinks that I cannot get an accurate weigh in at this time bc of tom..
Right now I'm getting 188.6 which is a loss of 0.4 lbs.
Who knows what it really is..?? lol
I feel like I'm 600 lbs with all the bloat and misery.

Oh well..

Off to Hobby Lobby to pick up the last few things for den. It's an ocean/beach/lighthouse theme.. Need some things for the walls and book shelves.
It's the last DRY day as well.. Gotta enjoy it while I can! Sunday thru Thursday they are calling for rain/t-storms... *sigh*
When it's finished, I'll share some pics. :)
I have even painted a few things/projects myself (very relaxing) and made some "no-fish" aquarium arrangements.
