It Starts...

Don't listen to people who say "That's just the way you're always going to be". They just say that because that's always how they expect to see you in their head. If you work as hard as you're planning on working, you can sculpt your body like putty :D Also, I can relate to your relationship with your mom for sure. My mom has tried every fad diet there is, and the weight just comes back on. She's never stepped on a treadmill or even really exercised in her life! there's only so many ways you can spell it out for people before they understand, you know what I mean?

Thanks for dropping by my journal, really appreciated it!

:iagree: Backfat IS a bitch. Currently at this weight I can look in the mirror and think that my back is looking good--shitty thing is I lost some upper back fat and now my bras don't fit right--was a 36C and now apparently I'm a 34C. Dammit! Bras are expensive :(

Sorry, 72 pounds is NOT 100, but DAMN that's a lot of weight!!!! :hurray: I lost so many pounds and regained and lost them again that it could add up to a hundred or more :D

Your lower half WILL lose inches as you lose weight. It may take longer than you like, though. My own upper arm chub is lessening NOW but there was a pound period where it didn't seem to want to budge, while other parts of me seemed to get leaner. Drives me crazy wondering if some of it is real or imagined

YOU GO on your GOAL!!!!!!! :hurray:

Hey lady thanks for stopping by! And I typically don't listen to my co-workers... but its funny to hear what they have to say about my goals... but are semi-supprotive nonetheless.

And yes my Mom has also tried every fad diet and pill there is.. and not till recently by my example has learned that there is no quick fix... but she still hopes for one I think... but maybe someday ya know!

YOU GO on your GOAL!!!!!!! :hurray:

I had that same problem about a year ago... Step told me that my bras were getting too big... I had to downgrade to a B... it was not a happy day in my life... I quit buying expensive clothes because on the track I'm on its not worth it.

Yessss my legs and butt will slim down eventually... running has proved that to me... and I know that it will come down... Yes I will always have my hour-glass shape just a smaller one... and I would never want my shape to dissapear... its to sexy to want it gone... know what I mean?

Oh I am going on my goal... :hurray:

I agree... I remember your picture thread, you're figure rocks!

Hiya, been a bit since I stopped in. :)

End Day 1 of Crazy 8s Goal

You're probably wondering why the Crazy 8s... well when I got home from lab Step and I talked about my goal and unlike the majority of people he thinks that its totally doable and that I will look great!! He asked what size I would most likely be at.. and I am guessing an 8?? So that's the goal that goes with this.. either 8 lbs or a size 8!! Which ever comes first!!!

Okay enough rambling and on to business. I think making my goal public and talking about it most of the day really had me fired up for this evening. I just finished a 50 min circut type wo. I did the Firm Cardio Sculpt, which kicked my tush!! Eats as usual were great, I haven't had dinner yet and am needing 850 cals to hit a grand total of 2000 holding a 720 cal deficit. Fitday suggests 720 for my goal so that's what Ill shoot for. It also says that my wo was worth about 400 cals give or take.. so I am right on track.

I feel pretty good other than my back is bugging me a bit today... damn DDD. My bro picked me up yesterday and I twisted right on my bad disc... I didn't show the pain then, but its hurting now. I plan to do an extra session of PT tonight to hopefully smooth it out a bit.

So today was a success!! And its early still which means I have time to do some homework before I get crackn' on dinner. Step is going to do a run right now so I won't start dinner till he is done!! My motivation has spilled over to him... ha I just love it!!:smash:

Dee, I think your plan is very ambitious, but doable. 30 min of jumping rope is a killer, though. You might want to ease into it if you are new to it. I like the running 10 miles a week thing. Would that put you to your 100 miles (in your ticker) by the end of the year?

Also, when does school end, and do you pick up extra hours at work when it does?

Ambitious yes!! Doable yes!! As long as I stay motivated I got this in the bag!!:smash:

The last time I jump roped I did it for just over 15 mins and I was okay... I might do that again for a week or so and then bumb it up. The goal is to get up to 30 mins and beyond!! I aspire to hit numbers like yours... and to have massive calves!! :)

Yes!! 10 miles a week would put me at just under 100 miles... around 80... but I might be able to squeeze in an extra 20 somewhere. I just really want to get back into the runnin scene.. since the 5K I really haven't done much in the way of running.

Instruction finishes the week of December 8th and then Finals are the following week. I plan to work full time during the winter break. There is a good chance we will go to MA for a week to visit Step's family for the holiday's but that has yet to be decided, but we will make that decision by the end of this week so that we can book our flight and what not.

I HATE for one of my first posts in your diary to be of this nature :blush5: ... but I have to agree with Curvie and Steve and Trops... Your figure is KICKIN' !!! You OWNED the Laura Croft costume/look!!! HOT!! :blush5:

:blush5: Aw you are too sweet. I had alot of worries about that costume, but in the end it worked out. :)

November 11 Day 2

My motivation for the Crazy 8s has continued. I think 8 is going to be the lucky number. I had initally wanted to hit this goal by Dec 5 which is a Friday, but the following Monday is the 8th.. so I might as well shoot for that date. Also if I hit this goal that will make my total weight loss 80 pounds (over 10 years).

I didn't really jump out of bed this morning, but Step was in the shower singing "8 pounds!!" over and over which made me get up. It was still early like 5:15 but I needed to wake up and warm up a bit... I threw on my wo clothes and a huge sweater and strapped on my running shoes and hit the mill... I didn't have a ton of time because it was already 5:45 when I did fianlly get on... but I did 20 mins... 1 mile running and the rest was warm up and cool down. I had a post run protein shake with frozen pinapple... it was tastey...

And now I'm just at work... doing alot of nothing as ususal!

Crazy 8s.

I love it.

Can't wait to watch you progress toward either one of those goals! :)

Hey Beautiful!!! Congrats on your new low and your NEW GOAL!!! :hurray:

You can definitely do 8lbs!!! I want something near there too...for my birthday DEC.12!!!!! YAAAAAAY!!!!!

I would absolutely adoooore 12lbs....LOL!!!...you know....12 for the 12th!!!! But yeaaaa....sounds unrealistic though!!!

I feel ya on your brother of family not knowing you anymore...I feel the same a lot of times! :(......I hope you do get to that talk with your mom too.....it can change her life, though it may be difficult! It's hard though, I know.....

You can do it girl....8lbs!!!!!!:hurray:

November 12

Thanks everyone for stopping by and giving some support. I was telling Step that other than him you are the only ones who don't think I am crazy for wanting to lose more. Even my mom was unsure about this goal... but whateve!!

Melissa... After your comment I did a little research into upcoming running events and there are 3 different events happening on Thanksgiving.. all turkey trots or treks. I asked Step if he was interested.. and he was like ya for sure!!! So we are going to do a race then!! Thanks for the little push to get back to it!!

Day 2 ended well. I went over to B's house last night (the roman goddess in the halloween pics) for a chick flick and dinner. We put a movie on but pretty much just chatted the whole time. She is also very supprotive of my goal which I am happy for. We orderd dinner from a local pizza joint... I had a turkey grinder with a cup of fruit.. I think when the day was over I was 680 cals in the deficit... not as much as I would like, but close enough!

Day 3 is going good so far. We are having a birthday lunch out today. We are going to Wecks were TJ happens to work so I know the menu rather well. But I also got online and looked up the menu and already decided what I'm going to have... and already put it into fit day. I'm going to order the Santa Fe Chicken Salad with no seeds or crutons and EZ on the cheese with ranch on the side. I think this is the best thing to do if I plan on eating out in the next 4 weeks... and in general its good to know the menu and have them make it how you want it.

I'm going to run tonight and possibly do an upper body workout depending on how I feel. My legs are still pretty sore from Monday's workout, but overall I feel pretty great.

Um... that's pretty much it for now. I wanted to mention that I started taking out all my winter clothes and jackets and what not. The majority of my sweaters still fit pretty good but I was pretty bumed to find that a brand new leather jacket I bought at the end of last season is HUGE on me. Step asked if it was big when we bought it and I think it was a little big but didn't look funny or anything. Now it just hangs on me... I'm going to look into having it tailored... its a really nice expensive jacket.. and I think I wore it all of 2 times last year... its one of those good but bad moments.

Anyway, that's all for now!! Happy HUMP Day!

Nicely done with the menu. now that it's in the FitDay you will be less tempted to go back on it.
