It Starts...

Its official!! I just registered Step and I for the 5K run in the Duke City Marathon Event!!! No turning back now!! EEK!!

That's really great. I have yet to actually sign up for a race. Like everything, I have tons of excuses why not. Never a good enough reason why. I will, one of these days.

Yeah I have been the same way, but I think I now have the confidence because I have ran more than a 5K so I know I can do it... before I was scared of the training, if that makes sense. But I'm so much more fit and confident now that it was time to finally enter one! I am just curious to see if Step hangs by my side or if he will pull ahead... Having him in front of me is great motivation, but I don't think I could keep up if he were to make his own pace.... But anyway, yay! I am excited!!

What race? Most all are on weekend and I work most weekends. The next weekend I get off is November, and even if there is one that weekend I'm not going to spend the first weekend off in two months running a race. I could, and eventually will, take a vacation day for a race, but it would have to be for a good cause and not just to get a race in.

See. I'm real good at excuses. :smilielol5:

It all depends on my schedule. I do work the evening shift, but that's just roughly once a month. The day shift starts at 7:30 and the midnight gets off at 8 (half hour overlap)

Oh, and on those days that I work the evening shift I work from 2:30 till 10:30. The only time I get to spend with the kids is really the morning, so again, I'd have to decide that the race is more important then that.

Ha I have some bikini shots in the before and after area... but I've lost 10lbs or more since then.. but you can see what I am shaped like at least... Its entitled BEWARE BIKINI PICS!!!

RIGHT!!! There you are, in your amazing goddess like glory! Geez your shape is very beautiful and you're blessed indeed. Yes, your upper half is very small in proportion but DAMN us girls seriously would kill for that waist of yours!!!! Kill!!! Shit, your form is so feminine it makes ME jealous but hell, I'm satisfied with what I got. I was trippin' a little about how muscular I look in my yoga pictures for a minute but then was like "oh well. I am what I am and I'm getting good at what I like to do!"

Thanks lady! I happen to love my curves... I am the only one of my friends with this shape and it took a long time for me to figure out it was not a bad thing to be different!

I think you look amazing in your yoga pose pics, they are feminine, but STRONG... I want to look like that someday... retaining my curves of course!

So Step and I went for a little run tonight... nothing super exciting, we pretty much joked around the whole time and weren't really being serious, just funny. We were going to do the whole loop but it was almost dark when we got there and then by the time we got a mile in it was dark so we just turned around. It was nice to get out. I got a new camera for my bday and Step shot a couple pix before we left... They are okay....

The second one is a little dark, but shows kinda my progress....

Sooo we went to the grocery store after our run to get a few things for the week... so we are crusing down the asiles and there is this woman in one of those motorized carts... she is a big woman and the little front basket was jammed with stuff... and then following her was her 10 or so year old daughter pushing a basket (stuggling to push the basket I should say) that was overflowing with stuff. So Step kinda was like... "did you see that?"... and I just nodded... well we passed them again later on and I happened to get a glimpse of what was in the basket... and it was pretty much loaded with JUNK... frozen pastries, deserts, dinners, sugary cerels.... and I just felt so bad for the young girl for the example her mother was setting... I mean the woman couldnt or wouldnt walk the store and the poor girl could barely get the cart moving while her Mom putted in that little thing... It really bothers me to see things like this, but on the same token who am I to judge??? Maybe she is physically disabled and can't walk or had some condition that makes her unable to loose weight.... I just felt bad for the little girl....

Okay getting off my soap box! Its already so late and Step is already in bed... meaning I had better get a move on!!!

Night Night :)
