Hey everyone! How is everyone doing?

I actually measured the oatmeal today and wow it's ALMOST as twice as much as I was eating last week.

I overestimate. =/ This is a whole lot of oatmeal.

Today's Food Log
700- 1/2 cup of oatmeal with cinnamon
900- 1 banana
1145- a $3.89 plate from the salad bar? It felt well over a pound...I forgot how much it was per ounce, 34 cents? 27 cents? I'll find out next time and recalculate this. vinegarette dressing, peas, spinach, turkey, kidney beans, mushrooms, CRAB SALAD and BACON SALAD (a scoop of each)

Today's workout:
I had to go to the gym today because I had to "restock" my locker with workout clothes for the week. If i didn't, then I would've had to walk 3 blocks, with a big ass bag full of clothes, to the bus stop, then bike around campus with a big ass bag full of clothes. I chose to waste gas. So, I went to the gym, stocked the locker, since i was there thought I should do something, so I did 5 minutes on the elliptical and a variety of exercises on the steps, for approximately 15 minutes.
It has been confirmed, my legs/knees/arches/ankle are sore.

Today I have to volunteer for 6 hours meaning being on my feet for 6 hours straight. I can't guarantee a gym session because of all the schoolwork I have to do, but I will definitely go if my feet aren't tired!

I brought up a camera from home and a bikini...so YES! expect pictures soon!!

UPDATE: I realized I really need to kick it up a notch. I really want to lose 15 pounds in the first four weeks, week 1 is already gone and I doubt I lost much. I must take initiative now. not later.

Back when I ate gluten I used to weigh my cereal and actually the recommended amount of cereal was a lot if you ate cheerios, but rather little when eating muesli! Made me stick to cheerios all the way!

Some days I crave oats badly, but because of my coeliac sprue I am not allowed to have oats. They are borderline, but I don't want to get too close to that border. Had gravy on Saturday and still have cramps from it... ah the beauties of the over-sensitive tummy!

I want to measure my body now... I know I am nowhere near 90-60-90... (that would be in cms), but it would really be nice to know where I am standing!

Hey Camy- Thank you for stopping by! I love cereal, but I have recently confirmed that I am completely 100% lactose intolerant. It sucks so bad because I love cheerios!!

Good Afternoon everyone. Let's get down to business, shall we?

Today's Food log:
815: 1/2 fuji apple
1100: $.24/ounce $2.20 salad- spinach, chicken, olives, kidney beans, broccoli, tomatoes, and thousand island dressing <--- it never gets old! The first bite was a mini flavorful explosion!!

I have to stay on campus 'til about 4pm and I have about 5 almonds to last me until then...I have an internship application due at whenever the post office closes, so I might not make it to the gym today. That really is disappointing. I might just go for a long walk. There is a park 20-25 minutes away from my house that my housemate told me about, I might just walk there. yay!

Where is my weigh-in????? I woke up at 8am this morning! I had to leave the house at 820am to catch the bus, so I prioritized and thought straightening my hair and washing my face would be better things to do than weighing myself. How about weigh-in every 10 days? How does that sound? Gosh...I'm giving myself some slack, slack I don't deserve.

I hope my diet remains on point today, aka full of veggies and protein. I ate my last apple today and my two bananas are officially rotting away. Dinner? Try to kill that tomato eggplant crap and the chicken breast. I have some tilapia in the freezer- I can't wait!! I've been craving fish.

Life is going swell today. I made a new friend in my ECN class. woohoo =] and the weather is superb!

I...don't want to dwell on yesterday. I ate home-made tempura shrimp & veggies and peanutbutter on wheat thins...AND I didn't work out.

I can fix this. I can fix all of this. by doing it right today.

I took before pictures yesterday, to test out my camera, I have the ugliest body. Why do I seem/feel fatter here compared to when I felt at home? Instead of being bloated on my period, I feel bloated AFTER my period. wth?

515: lunch special at this japanese-korean restaurant. popcorn chicken, 1 cup of white rice, two fried tofu slices, green salad with that dressing you find at japanese restaurants, 4 pieces of fujimaki? some sushi rolls with only veggies in it.

MAN, did i feel full! you can imagine how many times i went to the bathroom....................


i don't need to eat anymore today.

BUMP!!!!

Today---....I'm not going to make any brave statements today. I promise. Nor have I jumped on the scale these past few days....sigh* It sucks so bad that I want to go shopping but I owe my mom $500 dollars and I'm not losing weight. How depressing. Sigh* I can't even fit into Forever21 anyway...I should really focus on wearing my goal clothes I already purchased....work hard!!! I felt sooooooooooo full that I wanted to throw up yesterday. It was so gross...sigh* I literally ate everything that aws on my plate because I bought it. Just because of that. sigh* It totally ruined my mind yesterday. Also, I am tired of the fat comments.....sigh* Why do I hang out with people who say such things? It really hurts. It definitely makes the process a bit more pressured and guilty.

Thoughts:
Why am I not dropping a lot of weight? I'm eating salads for lunch like 5 days/week, why am I not seeing the results? I thought diet was 80% and exercise 20% to long-term weight loss. wtf. sigh* At least I enjoy my salads. They're goooooood.

174.4 lbs...extremely slow weight loss eh?...but it's better than nothing.

ate nothing yet so far....can't wait to go home and eat more tilapia!!! beh, i have a job interview, wish. me. luck.

i parked my car in a towing zone so I probably won't go to the gym...

gosh, I really want to take that goshdarn walk by now! sucks the gym closes at 9pm tonite =(

my weight loss is also extremely slow... probably due to my inability to do much sports... if I worked out like I would like to work out I would lose some weight, but sicne I don't, I don't.
But at least I am not putting anything on, which tells me that the way I am eating now I can maintain fairly easily without killing myself in the gym. Which is very important to me!
I think you will se results, you are eating very healthy food and you are doing some exercise, so you will see the results soon!

I don't do lactose either (I avoid gluten completely, lactose about 90% and sugar (processed sugars) mostly), but I am a lover of skimmed soy milk. Tastes sort of like water, but yummier! And it works for coffee, for hot chocolates and for cooking! My friends (who are very health-obsessed) do oat-milk too, which is supposed to be even yummier. You could try it if you haven't yet!

I am also studying, have final exams on 24th, 28th of april and 2nd of may... I am shitting myself to be honest! I am just as bad at studying as I am at exercising regularly! OK, I am going to try and get something done today!

Some things I can't find on fitday, it's so annoying! Eggwhites, fried?!?! Tilapia?!?! sheeesh...

Since I took a 2 hour nap earlier, I probably won't sleep until 1am-2am, which is good, since I ate at 10pm...

I slept at 3am last night, and I am so proud my body is ....such, a morning person? I woke up at 850 and was out the door by 915 going to the Farmer's Market. I cleaned up the duplex a bit, since my other housemate does the cleaning so much....I'm waiting on my housemates to wake up so I can vacuum, I think it would be rude to start vacuuming while they are sleeping. I know they're going to sleep until ~12pm. Anyways, the Farmer's Market is so great! It has a lot of life and color in it of itself. In this small college town, it's so great to have a Farmer's Market where everyone can come out and become an even small sub-community. I loved being part of that community today, and the oranges I got are SUPER sweet!!!! Reminder: Take more than 12 dollars next time. hehehe

Today's Work Out

Went for a 55 minute walk at 12am with my housemates. It was pretty warm still around 65 degrees. =]

I LOVE farmers markets. They are so full of life and wonderful. I love the way the fruit and vegetables are lines up all neatly and happily (can fruits be lined up happily????? LOL) I used to love Church's. I don't know where you found the will power to not eat the skin, but great!

Congrats on the weight loss! It all adds up. :)

One thing you might want to keep an eye on is sodium. It can make you retain water, keeping your weight up.

You have as your goal a BMI of 15-18%. Is that a typo? I ask b/c that is really low. Normal BMI is between 20-25%, lower than that is really thin, and not very healthy.

You said you are Asian--not Korean origin by any chance are you?

You've been saying lots of your food choices have been bad, but I think that they've been pretty good for the most part. :)

Water Retention- yeah..i'm trying to watch the sodium intake, i definitely DO NOT add salt to any of my dishes I prepare at home.

BMI goal: LOL!! not 15-18 BMI, I'd like to have 15-18% BODYFAT...so one day I can see my abs. I'd like to have a BMI around 20 though. I currentl have a BMI of....29.4 and a body fat percentage of 34.6%

I am Asian- Have you seen my pictures on the before and after thread? I am Korean! How'd ya know?

Yeah...in my previous trials of dieting, I was a strict dieter. So i'm slowly accepting the fact that I CAN eat fish/meat/bread and still LOSE WEIGHT!

There is a lot of sodium in foods even if you don't add it--check your labels if you don't. I think you'd be surprised at the sodium content of lots of things. Keeping your daily intake under 2500mg is recommended. Ramen, for example, has tons of sodium in it. ;)

Yes, you can definitely eat fish/meat/bread and still lose weight. :)

800: 10 1-inch chicken breast bites my housemate made chicken brest chopped up, rolled in corn starch and fried...kind of tastes like popcorn chicken? with fat free ranch dressing

I was way too lazy to cook, nor did I have anything to cook with, so I decided to go put gas in the car and safeway was on the way back home...and Dos Coyotes in the shopping center. I was craving fish tacos. So I got the three taco basket, 2 fish tacos and 1 chicken. I only ate the fish tacos, I'm saving the chicken taco for later. Yummie, i'm super full, it sucks that I ate it so late in the day though. I should've ate more calories before 12pm. The Omelet from this morning was not nearly as filling as I feel right now. I FEEL SOOO FULL!!

Official weigh-in is on Tuesday. I hope I'm down to 171 by then...!! *cross fingers*
