It needs to happen NOW!!

hey there lauralee

I'm getting to finally go grocery shopping tonite...
I've seriously had nothing in my pantry except
cottage cheese, raisins, and a couple apples for
like a week now.... It sucks not to have food,
or the right kind of food, so with that I can sympathize.

I read what you wrote about being "all or nothing",
and I can relate. I feel like i used to be that way,
at least with the whole losing weight thing. Then,
this past year I feel like I've had a different type of
mindset, and it's helped me finally lose weight and
keep it off. Sure some days my diet looks like shit,
and of course there have been spans of up to a week
where I haven't exercised but, looking back on all of it
I realize that I am usually doing what I am supposed to
be doing. I don't beat myself up so much, and I'm not
always so so strict. I just think that it has really helped
me in the long run, jmo...

Paychecks gone too fast? I can relate too. The more
you make the more you spend... I used to tell myself
if I made X amount of money per year, or hour then I would
be set.... Now I make that amount and I still need more, LOL...

Take it easy,
Sam:)

hahaha sammyboy, it's funny that you got my name right....cause, my username is laureelee, but that certainly is NOT my name.

yeah, i'm going to try to change....tomorrow is the day!

"gosh npb and ginger cookies are so good" =(

Thats funny... I totally thought your username said lauralee... I need to pay better attention to that stuff, lol.

Just because you've been talking about ginger cookies, I'm getting some when I go to the store here in about 30 mins. My dad's wife used to buy them when I lived with them. They were pretty healthy, in moderation, at least the ones she bought. I bet NPB would be good with apples... I really like peanut butter and apples together, they are a pretty healthy snack too.

Have a good nite,
Sam:)

I am glad you recalculated the calories.
i am also a strict routine needer. I hate that it is this way, but I am a slob and I need to have a plan (like right now I have a plan, I run 3 times a week, and swim 3 times a week) and I can do it because I know that today I will do A and tomorrow I have to do B, and that is just the way it is.
If I don't plan ahead I get caught up in my slobbiness and never do anything! I will tell myself, sometime this week you should go running but never do... well, some personalities just are this way. And we are lucky we noticed early enough!

And funny you were saying that you are broke... I went to the bank today and deposited 100 pounds because I though a bit extra won't hurt (and I don't like having cash lying around, I get paid in cash), then i went to see how mcuh money was on my account... well a whopping 102 pounds!! Xan you believe I only had 2 pounds on my bank account?? I cannot go into negative, because I am international and whatnot it is not possible... so if I touch negatices they will charge me tons of money...
I told my parents i would need help this month but their money is not due to arrive for another week... or more! Darn! I hate money! And I hate even more not having any money!

Anyhow today is the first day of the rest of your life (wednesday!!) and I wish you all the best, Camy

Hey Laura, stopping in to say hi! My problem isn't lack of groceries due to money, it's lack of groceries due to the fact that I HATE THE FREAKIN' GROCERY STORE! Going to the grocery store ranks right up there with folding laundry for me lol... I just hate doing it. I too, need groceries though... thank God for canned tuna lol.

Have a great day girl! :D

The new day

i haven't figured out how to format my daily entries!!

I love the way BikiniBound does it (Kimberly) How her weekly entries are neatly ordered.

hmmmm...I'll just go along and see what looks best. AND WHAT KEEPS THINGS ORGANIZED LOL

My arms feel incredibly tired today. While I was eating Fish & Chips for lunch today, they were shaking pretty bad....What could it be? Could it be because of the caffeine? Aiyah....

Today is a momentous day. I took my last final of the spring 2008 quarter. :banghead:. I got paid today. Today is the start of my new life.

Shall I start with my schedule?

330am-sleep
700am-wake up, bike to school, study
1030am- ecn 1a final
1230pm- fish & chips <-- "last supper" hehehe

I got a pair of TRUE RELIGION jeans for only 20 bucks at the Thrift Store...in great condition, no signs of wear or tear. I got lucky <3 I did some research and those jeans cost 195.00 retail!

I think I'll sort out my posts with

Something like that....I got paid today! Great Stuff! I spent 35 already on the jeans, fish & chips, frozen yogurt, and a silly Allure magazine...hehe, Money..Money...I checked out the grocery store yesterday, it was quite embarassing to walk around Nugget Market to just look...I usually go and come out with half the store! I checked out for Psyllium seed husk powder and found it! It's like 9 bucks for 16 ounces...yikes.

I'm going home this weekend, even though we are in the midst of packing and moving, I'm going to find my protein powder and a blender to bring it back up here.

Are you looking at this to get more fiber in your diet? you're really better off getting in thru food sources rather than a supplement.. there's a bunch of different threads around that will give you ideas on how to incorporate more fiber in your diet...

I agree with Mal. If your looking for a good BM (bowel movement) brown rice always works for me... So does Fiber One cereal...

I love True Religion jeans. I'm going to sell an old pair on Ebay soon. They are officially way too big for me. Great deal at the thrift store though, that is awesome, wear them loud and proud ;)

I actually just wanted to do clean out my colon, adding it to my protein shake to get that extra boost of fiber

but if there is any skepticism, by all means, keep it coming so i can really think this over.
I do want to drink whey protein because getting in my protein sources 99% from meat is kind of bland, i can easily get sick of chicken breast, tuna, egg whites. If I'm drinking whey, why not add the fiber? Also, I'm curious to see what comes out...:auto:

What size are your old True Religion jeans?

My brother wears 38/40, if that's anywhere near the size of the jeans, maybe we can work something out? :Angel_anim:

They are a 34x33... I wish they were bigger so I could help ya out.

Have you ever considered LF cottage cheese as a protein source? Sure it's kinda plain by itself but if you throw in some raisins, or pineapple, or hell even salsa it's pretty good. Plus, per cup it has something like 180 cals and 26 grams protein, plus it's very filling, esp. before bed... Jmo but i guess I'm a strong advocate of cottage cheese, I try to always have some in the fridge.

I woke up and haven't eaten anything.

I biked 10 miles today.

Drank like 3 cups of water, and 1 capri sun you know i'm hella hungry and dehydrated
