It needs to happen NOW!!

downside: didn't workout tonite.
lunch was a salad sampler for the beloved coffee house (student-run; fresh; sustainable foods- woohoo!)
downside.....after 2 hours, i ate 3 slices of pizza and half of a choco cupcake and 3 handfuls of chips, it was our last day for this one class, how elementary, nonetheless, hehehehe FUN

upside: didn't eat dinner, metabolism slow'd down like a mofo, but i'm keeping myself hydrated. I was thirsty since 4pm, and now i'm drinking some water....yeah, stupid me......
upside: was on campus 14 hours, although i was sitting alot, i biked around quite a bit, and walked. :D

i'm going to stay hydrated. i'll be back 2mrw!!!

Wow laureelee, your doing wonderful! Keep up the good work. Sorry I havent visited in a while. Issues lol but I am back. Bike riding is awesome... good for you!!

Keep trecking hun

always

Howdy y'all.

I have no good news except I stayed pretty active today.

Paulab, I will take your advice. It's not the "end of my life" if i don't eat that (turkey) over-processed hot dog, or a fried egg, or any food that is purchased/prepared outside the home.

I will take your advice. I will...because I fit into only a week's worth of outfits in my closet. I have like 60 tops, and having only 10 fit, is severely depressing.

I have pants hanging that don't fit. I am depressing myself. I have realized how much I love food...and that relationship needs to end. I smile while I eat, I love planning hang-outs with friends at new restaurants I haven't tried. I love indulging.

I need a plan. I need some new groceries. ....sigh.

I went to a thrift store today, actually a consignment store. It went fairly well! I just push the clothes onto the right, and start flipping through each piece, I came out with 4 tops. I actually found a top THAT I WAS WEARING TODAY in a different color for only $4.00 in excellent condition. I bought my top for $13. I remember contemplating about buying that shirt in that color too...hah! I <3 The Gap! I also found this great grey top from AE Outfitters....A pair of summer capris from Eddie Bauer (size 10--no, they don't fit)....and a sweater cardian from Target---but it still had its tags still on it. All in all, 4 pieces of clothes for 25 bucks is NOT a bad deal. I certainly don't think clothes are worth the going price they are going for...34 bucks for shorts? PLEASE~...

anyways, life. life. Sigh*

Well...

I went out for an hour, by myself, walked downtown, walked through Borders, bought some travel size lotions from Bath and Body Works...

Then went to Safeway and bought a huge bag of salad, baby carrots, and some roasted red pepper italian dressing, and 2 packets of gums.

right movement? right. I'm going to marinate my chicken breast tonite.

Sounds yummy to me. I need to thaw out some chicken and cook some up pretty badly... I actually work for Safeway, not at one of the grocery stores but for their data center... in UT. They actually don't have any Safeway stores here in UT at all. I hear they are good to shop at tho.

Have a good nite,
Sam:)

So do I (as do probably 99% of the people on this forum). No one said it was going to be easy... just WORTH IT!

Laura, YOU CAN DO THIS! Just by eating healthy and telling myself, "Maybe tomorrow (I'll eat that food I'm craving)" I have managed to lose four pounds in the past three days! It's one day at a time. It's telling myself that, "Just for today I'm going to eat healthy" and then the next morning when I get on the scale and I've lost more, I'm motivated to do it again... just one more day. Go back to your pics page and ask yourself if you are happy with that body. If you are, that's great! Enjoy it and enjoy your food... but if you're not, then do something about it and I mean REALLY do something about it! Food doesn't control you; YOU control the food! I'm here for ya...

PS Congrats on the clothes. I LOVE getting bargains on stuff! :)

Honesty is best. And I will start now.

I realized I need to be honest with myself to be serious about this. I have to be honest and open about this...because this problem will not be fixed on its own.

My June 8th goal is to be under 174 lbs. To do that, I can't have ANY cheats.

I define cheats, for the moment, over indulging and over 1400 kcal/day.

I'm sorry about your midterm and your bike. That really sucks!! :( Good luck on your June 8th goal. That's the day I graduate! :)

Good Morning y'all.

So I woke up this morning and thought "wasting 210 kcal on a single organic pastry toaster thing is so not worth it"

So I'm going to have 6 ounces of yogurt instead for 140 kcal. That gives me a few more calories throughout the day.

I definitely forecase chicken breast and a Healthy Choice Panini.

Have a good day, everyone!

Hey HUN...just reading through a couple of your FOOD choices and just a few changes might help shove you along....like eating WHOLE wheat instead of the WHITE carbs.....

Examples:
1) the PIZZA....if you need pizza like I DO.....try making it yourself with WHOLE WHEAT flour

2) MAC and CHEESE....I LOVE it....been staring at it in the kitchen for sooo long...but I OPT for whole wheat pasta with some sauce and a LIL cheese ON TOP

3) FRUITS and CARBS before 3pm....carbs preferably in the morning....then you have a better day...and you might be able to focus more......throughout the day

please don't take my suggestions as something that you are doing wrong....but just as baby suggestions and that's it!!! I AM rooting for you and want to see you succeed...and WE CAN DO IT TOGETHER k!!!! ;)

hiiii :waving:

hehehehe thank you so much for your suggestions, but making my own pizza? sounds time-consuming?!? i think papa murphy's offers whole wheat pizza now...yay?

i'm still coming out of my binge-month...i'm focusing on
1) hydration (while binging, i'd drink 2 cups of water a day...max)
2) lower calories (1600-1700 is a fraction of what i guestimate i was eating...two words separated by a dash: TAKE-OUT)
3) smaller portions (pulled out my measuring instruments to remember what a cup looks like

I will hopefully get into the groove of hardcore 75% clean diet eventually. I have all this junk food now, what in the world do I do with it??? I guess eating it in small portions =/
