Is being skinny dangerous - even if fit

Does anyone know of any cross country running camps in the Uk.
I'm planning to attend one, to help with my training?
Also was a brilliant day for running. Did 20 + miles with loads of runners from the club. Almost a full turnout!
People on the forum think I'm the only thin person around. Well, you'd be surprised. At the club, most of the younger runners and even most older runners are really thin, I mean all visable ribs and cocave stomachs, my body wasn't out of place at all! especially today as most ran without our tops on, due to the warm weather. Most of us only started sweating after a while, and only after the pace was quickened.
After I finished I was basically knackered!! good fun.

Ur physike is sooooooo attraktivex!

I love how this troll sticks to his "character". It's almost believable...

A little over an hour later. 12:59 PM

Even if he DID manage to find a group to run with, as he implied, within an hour, it sure as hell doesn't give him enough time to run 20+ miles, take care of all his ****, and come back here to post.

6minutes/mile x 20 miles= 120 minutes. 2 hours. Not 70 minutes...And this is assuming the best.

And as such, I love how his "character" is more interested in maintaining a physique that is just borderline skeleton than he is making himself anything respectable.

Don't feed the trolls guys, just make fun of them.

the times I submit aren't choreographed. Also the forum time seems to be American Time, guessing Eastern Standard Time; Not UK Greenwich Mean (British Summer Time at the moment) Time:- (6 + hours deviation), which would cause confusion.
Hope this sorts that out....?

According to ACSM Guideline (American College of Sports Medicine) you are underweight for you height. Being underweight for your height can cause multiple health problems such as cardiac failure, loss of bone density, degestive and other diseases involoving malabsorption of nutrients, low body temperatures, low blood pressure and heart rate, irregular menstrual cycles, and other problems. ACSM Guidelines states for an athlete the following food recommendations that an athlete such as yourself should have:

Carbohydrate intake should range from 6 to 10g/kg per day

fat intake should be no less thatn 15% of total energy

Protein requirements 1.2-1.4g/kg per day

lots of water

athletes should also intake food begore exercise/during exercise/and following the exercise.

From what you have written in your statement it seems that you might have a problem with anorexia. Which is a serious problem that can also cause multiple organ failure. I myself am an avid runner. Keeping your body healthy is one of the most important aspects of being an athlete. It seems that you are not healthy. As a runner who runs as much as we do it is important for us to consume fat. But there is a difference between good fat and bad fat that our bodies thrive for. I would try to change your eating routine. Try adding more fat to your diet ( the good kind) and more calories. I personally would go see my doctor and get a health evaluation to see if my body is really as healthy as I think that it is. Then that would be the time to take the steps that need to be taken to get myself to a healthier weight.
