Well heck yes you can burn a ton of calories dancing! That counts! I can't dance...that's why I skate. LOL.
Just been reading your last few diary entries and I must say you are doing wonderful.....especially when you have some outside forces ...aka your sister not being as supportive as you need and deserve.....I went threw a mini version very similar with my dearest best friend a few weeks a go...she refuses to admit I've lost any weight at all and made comments about borrowing clothes ...when it obvious I am at least 40 pounds lighter than her and 3 sizes smaller now. We were always close in size but I was always smaller by a bit...and now that its really noticeable..... She is basicly in denial about her own lack of motivation and still refuses to support my journey.. it is what it is and if she ever dose decide to get healthy....I will be the " bigger" person then and support her!! You are doing wonderful and I am proud of you!
xoxoxHi princess![]()
gotta say i m happy to read all this nice stuff on your diary...
the sister thing was sucky but then again what are sisters for lol it s ok it s all about motivation for u.... shouldnt bring u down.. should give u strenght to show her
i wouldnt say mean remarks to her thaugh cause i think actions speak louder then words and when she sees u dropping the pounds it will push her buttons more
other then that my life is pretty good out here... had my nephews over for couple days so i ate bad but back on track so will be around again![]()
Good job with the chocolate. That's a great reduction!
And I totally understand how hard it is to start excercising! It feels really good afterwards, but it's just so hard to get a grip and go to the gym or something. You just have to be tough on yourself and get it over with! Maybe you could reward yourself with something nice after you're done? That's what I do.It might be food, if you have some extra carbs or calories (in your case) left, or perhaps give yourself a permission to go and get that amazing shirt you saw at the store the other day. ;D Keep it up!?
Yeah i know i have to start being tough on myself, i honestly treat myself too nice sometimes. I know that after i exercise i will feel proud as ive felt this feeling in the past and its one of the most rewarding feelings in the world!! Thanks so much for the support and advice chick! Hope you had a good day! p.s STAY AWAY FROM THE NUGGETS haha xoxoxHey princess, just read the last 5 or so pages of your diary, well done on losing 16 lbs![]()
I feel awful for you that your sister is being so bitchy. She's probably just angry that your making her feel useless when it comes to losing weight.
I'm not all that great with the exercise eitherI am trying tho. And I plan to step it up soon. As soon as I wake up I go on my mini trampoline, even if I don't feel like it and get off it practically straight away. Maybe you should get one too, and just do it for 30 seconds a morning. Seriously, 30 seconds, no matter how much you don't feel like doing it. In fact, don't let yourself go on it for any longer. After a week of that, I bet you'll be desperate to do it for longer, and you can do it for a couple of minutes, and maybe some sit ups or push ups. Then after that, if you feel like it you can do more. I think getting into the habit of doing it all the time is the hardest part.
I agree with what people are saying about finding something you enjoy- I'm starting badminton tomorrow, which is something I've always fancied doing. I'd quite like to try rock climbing as well, but I'm no way strong and fit enough for that just yet. Its all about baby steps. Just start a habit and don't get out of it!!!
I'm not going to lie, when I read what you said about a once a week binge being necessary, I got very stern eyes for you, which is why I was so happy that you only ate 180 calories of chocolate the other dayI would find it really hard to stop at that, so well bloody done girl!!!!!
You know, the added advantage of exercise is that it will help improve your sleeping pattern.

Hi IrishPrincess.
I've just read through your whole diary. Your weight loss journey is so inspiring.
Nature Valley (?) granola bars are soooo delicious.
My dad always has them at his house. They remind me of being in America.
I was saddened to read about your sister's negative comments towards you. She's clearly jealous of your self control, will power, and weight loss success.
Negative comments normally motivate me to work harder to lose weight.. just to make them eat their words.
It still hurts though.
Anyway, it clearly hasn't held you back at all.
I look forward to reading more of your journey ^_^
Hopefully we can lose our weight together.
xx
PS: What's the august challenge?
Ah never mind your sister, I'm sure she has some mysterious reason for being mean, but I'm also sure that it is not that she doesn't want you to be healthier! Perhaps you could ask her if she would like to join you in losing weight, and turn the situation into something positive?
