Okay, So I stopped using my diary on here after getting down from 170 to 125... so now after about 2 months or so, I have gained 11 pounds back. Not good. I have stopped exercising, and eating right. Last night I had my fairwell dinner at Outback, and today I reclaim my healthy lifestyle. I did not realize how much this diary held me accountable for my changes.

After not evening logging on to this site, I saw this morning that so many of you are still going full force. I was so proud of what I saw. It gave me a new energy.


So... am Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

welcome back you :D i so understand what you mean. just keeping my diary is helping me tons and it does keep me accountable for my actions :D
 
A good day so far...

Calories - 1500 - 1600
Exercise - 3 miles on treadmill w 2% incline, 45 minutes

Tomorrow taking the girls shopping in the afternoon, and mowing grass in the evening(if it doesnt rain)
 
sorry u put on those few pounds... but glad to see ya here again! oops... sounds so contradicting lol.

anywaz i just got back here again mid May, so u r not the only one who had to U-turn again ha. We'll keep going till the fats are conquered! Yea!
Oh gosh... we came back weighing the same at 136?!?!? Hahha.
But well I am shorter.

HA HA HA - that is so cute and it would make a great siggy - welcome back - we never chatted before but I remeber who you are - I have been in many challenges with you - you use to loose weight like crazzzy and always made me feel liek a slacker - lol!!! Shopping with girls and mowing the lawn will be exercise that is for sure - question is which one is more exericse - ha ha ha - I took my 12 yr old shopping last week and I cant even begin to try to figure out how many miles we put on...

Calories - 1500 - 1600
Exercise - Walked the mall for 5 hours. I didnt get to mow due to it raining yesterday, and it is raining today.


Thank You Cinderelly! I remember you too. Hopefully I can loose these stubborn pounds that have found their way back! Though, I realize it is my own fault that they are back.


So, my Mother in Law, Sister in Law, 16 year old stepdaughter, and 10 year old daughter went shopping. TJ Maxx, Shoe Carnival, Limited Too, Childrens Place, Victoria Secrets, Claires, and Macys. We had a great time and I didnt have a Smoothie or a pretzle, just a diet coke. :) My daughter picked out some very cute outfits. I let her pick out her own stuff, with in reason of course. All of these hoochie mama clothes for 10 year olds... Geez!

Cals for today (went to a family gathering, but ate pretty good, baked bbq chicken, salad, a little au gratin potatos, and a roll. I did have a piece of cheese cake, a half of a slice) Though did pretty good. = 1600 - 1700 Cals

Exersice - Got the grass mowed after the gathering. 1.5 hours of push mowing with a bagger/mulcher, non self propelled. It totally kicked my ass, and it was 87 today.


I joined the June 2 pounds a week challenge. Hopefully that gets me in the spirit!
 
Heidi that's very natural after dieting. What isn't natural is that you stopped yourself after only 11 pounds. You can beat it permanently this time. Just stay dilligent. A book I've been hearing about from Gina Kolata examines this phenomenon and may help you understand what you're up against.

Cannon, I am very glad that I recognized and stopped myself after the 11 pounds, I dont want to ever get back up to 170 again. I am definately going to check into this Gina Kolata. Thanks so much for the great tip!


Okay here is today 5-29-07

Cals - 1500 - 1600
Water - 80 oz
Excersice - 30 minutes on the eliptical
 
I know what you mean..I've not posted in my diary in ages, but it is nice to re-focus and re-dedicate yourself...best of luck!

Cals = 1300-1400
Water = 3 L
Exersice = Walked treadmill 45 minutes, 2% incline 4 MPH

Tomorrow is Chinese Buffet day. I have a plan though. Salad first, then one plate of chinese, water to drink. My daughter has softball practice tomorrow from 6 - 8, and during I am going to walk the track.

I've been reading a lot of scientific research that says its not. You may be trying to make your body go thinner than it wants to be. It doesn't mean its unhealthy and it doesn't mean it can't be done, but below a certain point (Which is different for everybody) your body does lots of nasty tricks including dropping your metabolism by around 25%. Those last pounds are the worst and maintenance requires tremendous vigilance, but there is a reason why some of the most amazing people of all time who showed great willpower in everything else they did, could never control their own weight. You can do this :)
 
You all are such motivators!!!

Not to bad at the Chinese today. I am going to guestimate my cals at 1800 for today. I totally did NOT over due it at the Buffet. Salad and one plate of beef and veggies, no rice, wonton, a little chicken and broccoli.

3 L water

Exercise - It rained so softball, we didnt go. My daughter spent the night with a friend so I went back to the office and rearranged my furniture, including moving that heavy ass desk, and cleaned. 2 hours worth.

Now I am ready to crash.

Since my daughter as at a slumber party, I am going to try to get up and go to the way at 5:30 am to walk the treadmill. We will see!! I get awfully friendly with the snooze button in the morning. hehe.
