Without really realizing I have been doing this kind of training on the treadmill but on an incline.
Firstly I warm up for 10 mins jogging then I set the treadmill to incline 12 and go between 6 and 4mph. Going at 6mph for 1 min then letting my heart come back to 130 bpm at 4mph then back on 6 for a min repeat for 20 mins then cool down just walking at 4mph on incline 12 for the last 10 mins.
This really racks up the calories but is it as effective fat burning as proper HIIT?
