Well other then having found a new job...weight wise I am still at the same weight since April.....but I am not giving up I know what I need to for the scale to go down!!!
 
It sounds like you're doing so many fun things! Bike rides, picnics, tubing... way to utilize the last bit of summer vacation.

A picnic sounds like so much fun! What a good idea to hang out with your friends but stick to your goals. I'm glad you put the cookie back and had a great day yesterday! I'm sure today will be great for you too! So jealous your having all that fun and I'm sitting at work - booo!

It was really nice! I don't know why I never thought to have picnics more often this summer... I must have blown so much money eating out! Not to mention so many calories :willy_nilly:

Congrats on the new job :) That's wonderful to hear. At least you're the same weight, not heavier than April. And you're not giving up - that's the most important part. I think summer ending is going to make it a lot easier to work on our goals!

Thank you! I'm definitely not as toned as I was but I am excited to get back into my routine and see changes again. I am cramming so many things into this last week of summer vacation - and I'm also on this "trying new things" kick so I've got a lot of things on my mind that I'd like to do. Gotta stay busy and active! :)

Yesterday was another good day. I did my morning run, but yet again didn't have time to do arms or abs because I had those plans with my friend. We ended up NOT taking our bikes to the lake because we couldn't fit them in the car - and we scratched the hell out of her new car... eek! We brought a frisbee with us instead. But then it was too breezy throw a frisbee... so we just walked around the beach and enjoyed the sun :) Our picnic was delicious! I did good with my eating all day again.

I've decided I'd like to try to be a vegetarian for a while. It's more of a challenge I'd like to set for myself than a real desire. It won't be long term, but I'm gonna try. I also feel that my diet needs a little changing up.

In other news... I'm going to buy myself some roller blade and start roller blading sometimes for exercise! I also asked my roommates to sign up with me for intramural sand volley ball at school. I want to make sure I'm staying active, and trying new things!

Another day off work... I'm going to do some shopping today, not that I need to!!! :D

Hi Sarah. Good to hear you feel remotivated. You really do have a very nice body already but I know you are wanting to be your best. I think you would benefit greatly from substantially lowering your alcohol intake alone. That became a big problem for me over the past year plus. The past month I have cut down a lot and increased my water intake. Even though I have tried to gain weight (muscle) the past month, I ended up losing. How much weight lifting are you doing?

Lol I haven't roller bladed in so long it would definitely take some getting used to! I'm not sure if I'm going to buy a pair yet.. I'm going to see if the gym at my school rents them out because the university I went to my freshman year did! So far I'm on day 3 of the vegetarian challenge and it's going fine. I actually forgot that I had some bruschetta tomato basil veggie patties in the freezer, so I ate that for dinner and topped it with some pico salsa. They are the Boca brand, I've also had their veggie "chicken" patties and I would make those, toast a bun, then put some mayo and lettuce on it to make my own homemade McChicken :)

Thanks Derrick! Alcohol is my biggest issue at this point, which is why I plan to cut back - but not quite yet because I still have two weekends of camping coming up which involves plenty of drinking and I just don't think I will have the willpower to not drink! Back to school time will make it easier, I did it last year so I know I could do it again. I don't do much weight lifting, but I will be getting back to that once I join the gym at school. At home I just use my kettle bell for the most part for arm swings combined with squats, and some arm extensions above my head.

Hanging in there. Yesterday I did not get a work out in. I was too excited to go shopping so I figured I'd get that out of the way THEN work out... well, that failed. But I figured a day off was alright because I've been good this week. My girl friends and I got together and made dinner - veggie wraps and salad. I drank two light beers and towards the end of the night snacked on some pretzels with port wine cheese (so addicting) and I wanted to keep eating but I stopped myself there. So it wasn't a perfect day but it could have really taken a turn for the worse!

Today I woke up late, and fell back asleep, and didn't get out of bed until 1:30PM! OMG! I don't know why I was so tired! I guess I haven't been getting much sleep lately... so I probably needed it. The weather is PERFECT today so I went for a bike ride to get some exercise and sun :) Eating has been good all day, although I stuck my finger in the peanut butter a couple times :D I still have about 300 calories left for the day so I can have a snack before bed!

I also measured my waist and stomach today and it has gone down since the beginning of the week. I think weigh in will go good tomorrow. I will be back then!

Weigh in: 139.6 - that's 3.2lbs down since Monday! I'm feeling better already :D

I'm just about to get on the treadmill before work. I think I'll just run two miles or do one mile run then one mile of intervals - depends how I'm feelin' once I get on that thing! Then I'll finish with arms and abs.

I'm going camping this weekend up north with like 20 other people. We have a cabin and we are going to spend all day Saturday floating on rafts down a river - and getting our drink on of course! Goal is to eat healthy whenever possible. I will be back Sunday to kick some ass!

Awesome weigh-in!! I think it's getting harder for me because I damaged my metabolism all these years of yo-yo dieting!! I'm never going back to that though and plan to never let my weight get above a normal BMI. If I get close to 155 it means it's time to buckle down again! Healthy living for life though!
That camping trip sounds like so much fun and your going to look great on that tube! I'm sure you'll have a few boys trying to get some! Good plan to eat healthy whenever possible and I'll be back Monday to kick your butt again!

Thanks! It is harder to lose weigh now than it was when we started but I feel the same - if I'm getting close to a certain number, I KNOW that I have to get my ass in gear! That's a really good thing because instead of feeling sorry for ourselves that the weight is coming back on, we use it as motivation to kick some ass! :p The trip was fun, I'll write more about it below, but it's good to be home and back to my routine :D

Had a blast this weekend! But uh oh... drunk Sarah didn't care about being vegetarian this weekend! Or skinny for that matter! LOL we were floating down a river and stopping at little beaches on the way from 10:30AM to 6:00PM! It was the PERFECT day for it too... not a cloud in the sky, really warm but not too hot! By the time we got home I passed out by 7PM and woke up around midnight. People were still partying! I did NOT feel good from all the booze and food, I had to make myself throw up to try to feel better :( That's the price I had to pay I guess!

I weighed myself this morning to see the damage I did but I was only at 141.2 which is only 1.6 up from Friday so I think if I do really good this week I can see a nice loss. Anyway, I'm glad to be home now. I didn't work out yesterday just because I didn't want to :D But I'm back at it today. I'm going to run outside then do some arms/abs... I've got a doctors appointment then some shopping to do and then I'm moving out to my house at school!!!! FINALLY!!!! I can't wait to sign up for the gym :D

That's all for now... IDK if you guys will hear from me tomorrow or the next day... we still have to get cable and internet at our house but maybe I'll just steal the internet from our roomies upstairs :) Til next time....
 
Wow that is awesome you are only up a little more than a pound! I'm expecting a great weigh-in from you Friday!! Stay on track while moving in to your new place! Got the internet up and running! Here's a recap of Monday, Tuesday, and today:

Monday - Didn't go for my run in the morning. I didn't allow myself enough time before my doctor's appointment so I decided to do it later. I moved all my stuff out and got situated at my house, then went for a run. It was TERRIBLY hot outside, I couldn't finish my run. I only made it about 2.5 miles before I called it quits. I did some kettle bell swings and side bends and arm raises and abs after. I went out with my roommates and didn't drink much but got into some mary j and had the world's worst munchies so I ended the day on a really bad note!

Tuesday - Went for a quick 2 mile run followed by arms/abs workout. My friend came out to visit me. She brought a case of beer so we drank that all night and even went out for dinner at Qdoba. Late at night we ordered Toppers and I ate too much of that so another night ending badly.

Wednesday - Today I didn't eat as much in attempt to make up for all the extra calories I had the night before. I woke up full anyways because I ate that pizza at 3 in the morning! I signed up at the gym and went. I ran 5K on the treadmill (haven't done that in sooooo long, I was sweating bullets!) then did some arm workouts. Our gym got all new machines/equipment so I was really excited about that! Finished with abs and stretch and felt really good.

So I've done good this week with getting exercise but being that it is back to school time, it's major party time as well and therefore my diet hasn't been so good. Tomorrow is my first day of classes (I have 3 classes back to back from 9:30AM-1:45PM) so I plan to go to the gym after. And I'm going to eat HEALTHY all day and NO DRINKING (even though the Packers play tomorrow night and I loooove football and it's a great excuse to drink!) so that Friday weigh in will *hopefully* be good.

I'll be back tomorrow! :)

I hear you on that!! It's been the same for me. Parties and events every night, plus on my campus, every day they're giving away free food during the day all over the place. But on the bright side, as long as you are keeping up with the exercise, in my experience, at least even if you do gain weight, not all of it tends to be fat- that's what I've found!

Oh boy, free food - that would be hard to pass up! It is so difficult to stay away from the partying, especially the first week back to school. Once classes and homework start rolling, I know it will be much easier! Hope your classes are going good as well :)

I didn't want to admit it but it is also my problem most nights and it's only because I'm around it so much - my roommate ALWAYS has some. I've got to learn to say no to it because I literally have no self control when it comes to eating after I smoke. Unfortunatly I didn't stay away from the beer, I only had 3, but still! Yesterday was a total FLOP!!! :(

Yesterday didn't go as planned at all and I didn't even want to step on the scale today but I knew I had to scare myself into getting real with this. Sure enough I was up to 143.6 --- 4 pounds up since Monday. Now I know I binged HARDCORE last night so that might have something to do with it but I know I also drank 3 nights already this week and that isn't going to help at all. I didn't work out yesterday because I was really sore from my workout the night before, but I am DEFINITELY exercising tonight after work.

I am really bumming that I'm basically up 10 pounds from where I was earlier this year and that my stomach isn't as flat as it was and that my clothes don't fit as good as they did, but I am NOT giving up this fight, I refuse to let myself go. I know it's a process and I'm being too impatient and not giving it my all, but I know I'm capable, and I will do this.

Gotta run to work, I can't make it to any other journals right now, but I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend - I will be on a horseback riding trip - lots of drinking there of course - which BTW after this trip last year was exactly when I started this journey because all the back to school drinking and camping drinking got to me so fast. So this is literally THE LAST STRAW this weekend. Come Monday, I'm back at it and I'm going STRONG! NO IF'S AND'S OR BUT'S!!!!
 
lol we are a lot alike! I'm totally with ya though and not letting myself go! We will keep on fighting and fighting and never let it get as bad as it did! I'm sure your 4 pounds is mostly water too! A couple good days back to back and it will all be gone! Next week's snacking will be better on my part too! I've realized as long as I snack on things like fruit, eggs, salad I can still have a lot of snacks but it will be way better for me! Even popcorn would have been better than chips! ONe day at a time and we will get there!

I'm so glad I have someone that's on the same page as me :) It's just a little harder for me because I am still in college and I have temptations all around me every single day. But I am through with letting myself give in all the time. It's FINALLY the real start of school and I've already started it off on the right foot! I'M GONNA KICK YOUR BUTT TEN TIMES HARDER!!! :p

Had a great weekend. I can't believe how much I drank from Friday-Sunday. I think I drank enough for this whole month! Eek.

On the diet front, I have my notebook ready to track my calories, I'm packing myself lunch (because I have class from 9:30-1:45 straight, so by the time I get home I'm so hungry... this makes it more likely for me to eat a lot more!!!). BTW I am NOT trying to be vegetarian anymore. I just don't think that's possible for me :) Plus, I need the protein.

This morning I woke up at 6AM, got ready, and headed to the gym! I ran 5K on the treadmill, then came home to finish my workout with my kettle bell - 30 side bends (each side) and 30 arm lifts (each side... IDK what to call these.. it's like you punch your fist up in the air while holding the kettle bell?) then my regular abs routine.

My throat is a little sore today... it might be from camping (Saturday night it was so cold we could actually see our breath!) so I'm hoping I'm not going to be getting sick!!! Gotta just take my vitamins, work out, and be healthy! :)

My throat is a little sore and I have been sneezing all morning! I'm sure it's from camping in the cold too. Hopefully our healthy eating and exercise will kick it in the butt before it turns into anything more.
I got my notebook out today too! I drank a lot also and don't think I will be down this week but if I can maintain that will be great because I'm sure I had at least 3500 calories just from booze! Long weekends are over for a while and fall is definetly in the air - it's our time to shine!

Correct! I'm so glad all the camping, trips up north, holiday weekends, festivals and whatnot are going to be over for quite a while! Doesn't leave me much to work with so... no more excuses :D

Yesterday was good. I stayed within my calories, however at the end of the night I did get a little snacky (nothing overboard) because I went grocery shopping. When I got home I was so anxious to try some of the stuff I bought - garden salsa pretzel crisps, forty spices tribe hummus, lite port wine cheese. So I had a few pretzels to try my dips, also ate a baby pickle but that's only 5 calories. Had maybe 4 of my roomie's potato chips. I really wanted to eat more but I knew I was full and didn't want to go over on my calories.

I woke up today feeling a little worse than yesterday - my throat is so scratchy, I'm wheezy, coughing, extremely tired. I started today off with a multigrain bagel w/cream cheese (260 cal) and a cup of healthy balance cranberry pomegranate juice (30 cal). I don't have class until 2:15PM today so I plan to go to the gym before that but right now all I really want to do is lay in bed :( It's going to be sunny and 67 degrees today, it looks really nice outside, so I'm hoping the weather will pick me up a little bit!
