Happy Monday!

Today marks exactly 4 months in to my weight loss journey so far. Wow! I didn't know I could make it this far. 4 months isn't even that long! LOL but I'm reflecting, and I have come a long way. I'm really happy that I just dove into it - no waiting around for the new year to come. I have a jump start on this new year! :D

And might I add that today is off to a WONDERFUL start! I'm feeling really great about this week already. Here is my workout today:

50 minutes spinning class - holy crap did the instructor pushed us really hard!
1 mile run around the track - didn't time it, but I'm pretty sure it was somewhere between 8-9 minutes :)
Side bends, biceps curls, abs, stretch

I had a granola bar before the gym (90 cal). For breakfast, I had 1 cup of Special K cereal w/half a cup of skim milk (165 cal) and an apple (80 cal). Total of 335 calories for today and I'm right on track! I also drank 2 bottles of water (48 ounces).

Monday is off to a great start - rather, kick ass week is off to a great start! I'm feeling re-motivated and I am confident that Friday's weigh in will be a good one!

Wish I could join your enthusiasm in kick ass week - do some double kicks for me!! I'm already in vacation mode and haven't been able to stay away from the sweets.
I plan to see a big loss by the time I get back - that's two weigh-ins to go so keep up this attitude! You can totally do it so don't lose faith in yourself - try to stay away from the pizza in the meantime. It's on when I get back - I really need to get serious for the wedding so my motivation will be back full swing. I'll be thinking of you when running along the beach in the morning - I'll say to myself "Sarah would do another lap so keep going!!" Hey maybe I'll even lose a pound while I am away! haha not likely because I plan to drink every day!

Oh boy do I need to stay away from that pizza... it is my weakness! lol BUT I have vowed to stop eating that crap right now! Or atleast so frequently... anyway, can't wait til you're back and enjoy running out there! I bet it will be really peaceful for you and I think it will clear your mind and get you back to where you left off.... stay safe and have a crazy good time!

Snack - Granola bar (90 cal)
Breakfast - 1 cup Special K cereal with 1/2 cup skim milk (165 cal), apple (80 cal)
Snack - 1 oz. almonds (160 cal)
Lunch - Peanut butter sandwich (260 cal), string cheese (80 cal), yogurt (90 cal)
Snack - Wheatables crackers (140 cal)
Dinner - Salad (75 cal), sloppy joe (250 cal)
Snack - Oatmeal raisin cookie (50 cal)
= 1,440 calories total, water intake = 65 ounces

I took some medicine before bed and ate the cookie to get the horrible taste out of my mouth, otherwise I could have done without it. But I stayed within my calories! I'm shooting for about 1,450/day right now.

Just one day of great exercise, counting calories, and more water and my stomach is shrunk back down! It has been so bloated the past few days, I haven't been wearing anything tight because I was self-conscious about it. But this morning I just want to walk around in a bikini my tummy is lookin' SEXAY!!! :p LOL

Yesterday I bought Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred! It was only $10, which I thought was a good deal... I wanted to buy The Biggest Loser Power Sculpt but I think I will buy it if I like the 30 Day Shred. Today I'm going to run on my treadmill to warm up then I'm going to workout to the DVD! I'm excited and I hope it was worth the money!

Day 2 of kick ass week... I think it's going to be a good one!

Hooooooooooly crap... just finished Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred... wow. My arms are shaking!!! Strength was definitely the hardest... cardio was good, and abs were really easy. Probably because strength was the longest. I got a really good sweat, definitely did NOT expect that! I can't imagine what level 2 and 3 are like! :ack2: Before I worked out to the DVD I ran 1 mile on the treadmill @ 6.8 mph :) Now I'm going to have an egg w/cheese on toast for lunch. We have NO FOOD in our house so I'm trying to make do with what we have!

...I say we do a little challenge and do them EVERYDAY for 5 days a week!!! :cheers2:!!! That will get us nice results quick!!! You have to WORK FOR IT!! ;)!! hahah...I love when she says that!! "This isn't coming easy, You have to WORK FOR IT!!!!!"

...and I like the little trailor too that says...this about more than losing weight...this is about "TAKING CONTROL!"!!! :D!!!

Almost went back to sleep at 5am, then I thought, "If Sarah could run every morning, then so can I dangit!" So I got up, trudged out into the cold snow, and ran 3 miles. I feel FANTASTIC. No wonder you're always so cheery. A morning workout really kicks your ass and wakes you up. :)
 
Hey girl! Thanks for stopping by my diary yesterday! I'm definitely gonna be following your progress a ton! We are almost identical! I'm 138 as well, trying to get down to 125! I haven't been able to find too many people my age that are losing about the same amount, so this is awesome!

So I did level 1 again :D I plan to do the workouts for the next 3 days but when I get back to school I won't do them as much because I like doing them alone... and I live with 3 girls and the only place I have room to workout would be the living room... and their bedroom doors come out to the living room... idk if they would like hearing Jillian Michaels shouting all the time! lol what level are you on?! I'm seriously scared of moving on to level 2 hahaha

GOOD JOB! I haven't been getting up AS early as I was before xmas break but I will be getting my ass to the gym every morning at 6:30 again when school starts next week! It is SO much easier to work out in the morning! The hardest part is rolling out of bed and getting your feet on the floor! But the feeling after it's done is always worth it :)

Thanks! I'm glad to have someone around here that I can relate to! We can do this :D If you would like to follow my goals too you can! My next mini goal is 133 lbs by Valentine's day... that's about a month from now... about 5 pounds, I think it's very doable!

Alright, so I'm REALLY doing good this week! I feel amazing!

Yesterday's food log:

Breakfast - Oatmeal (160 cal)
Snack - Banana (110 cal), 1 oz. almonds (160 cal)
Lunch - Egg (70 cal) w/cheese (70 cal) on 2 pc toast (160 cal)
Dinner - Salad: romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, onion, croutons, 1 tbsp ranch dressing (90 cal) cheese/meat ravioli (400 cal)
= 1,220 calories, total water intake = 30 ounces

WOW, did horrible as far as drinking water goes! But I had a good day overall.

This morning I went to the gym and ran a quick mile around the track. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical with highest incline and resistance at 10. I came home and ate breakfast (Special K cereal w/skim milk and an apple) and then did level 1 of the 30 Day Shred again. I did some side bends and abs after because level 1 mostly focuses on arms and legs (at least I think) so I wanted to work my core better. I feel really great, but my ass is HURTIN for CERTAIN from those squats! :ack2:

Last day off work... it's getting close to Friday weigh in and I'm really confident right now! It's about time to see the weight go down finally!

= 1190 cal, total water intake = 64 ounces

The sub was probably closer to 300 calories, but my "calorie counter for dummies" says that it's 275. So I doubt I was under 1,200 calories. Anyway, it was a good day I think.

This morning I ran 1 mile on the treadmill @ 6.3 mph (my legs were so sore!!!). I ate half a banana and then did level 1 of the 30 Day Shred again. Now I'm eating some oatmeal and getting ready for work :)

Tomorrow is Friday already! WOOO!!!!

I thought you were trying to keep the cal intake at 1600?!?! 1200 is a little low for how active you are, isn't it?

No, I'm shooting for 1,450. As I have lost some weight, my BMR is around that now. In the beginning I was going for 1,500-1,600. And yes 1,200 is low but that is the lowest anyone should go... just as long as it's only once in a while. I didn't mean to consume fewer calories, I just was busy between lunch and dinner with running around doing things so I forgot to snack! But I got the number back up today :) I am anxious for tomorrow's weigh in... I'm ready for a week for us BOTH to celebrate together :D It's about time! lol

I did way better today at work with not snacking so much. Usually I end up buying candy or a bag of chips from the snack box, but I didn't today. My coworker made a pizza durning her lunch break and my other coworker made cookies randomly. But I wasn't even TEMPTED! My other coworker said she had to remind herself "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" LOL that's how she got away from the cookies... ohhh boy.

Anxious for tomorrow's weigh in. I think it will go good - as long as I can go number 2... LOL I feel a little backed up and bloated right now :ack2: But yesterday in the middle of the day I weighed 136.0 and this morning after water from working out and breakfast I was 136.0 again. So we'll see :D This weekend I'm going up to my university from last year to visit my friends and I will be drinking a lot for sure. Possibly Sunday night too, if I go back to my house at school. I'm going to enjoy myself, but I will definitely get back into the swing of things as the week starts. I was really good this week and I think it's safe to say I'm back on track!

Thanks :) I usually just log my weeks, I never keep track on weekends but it always helps to write it down... even if I'm not TRYING to eat better, I DO when I know that I have to log it!

Alright, so it is the weekend! Yesterday was alright for eating. I didn't really have any balanced meals though. I had a bagel for breakfast, oatmeal for lunch, and a mini sub for dinner. Yogurt, apple, almonds as snacks. I went to my friends house to hang out and she made us mojitos. I barely drank any but I snacked with my friends. So I'm sure the calories added up but I don't think it was anything out of control, especially since I didn't really drink.

Today I'm heading up to the university that I went to last year. I'm going to see all my friends again :D I really can't wait! I went to UW-OSHKOSH which is also known as "SLOSH-KOSH" so you can already guess that I'll be doing a lot of drinking up there. But I'll be back on a roll come Monday.
