Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

Hey Sarah - our weekends looked very similar! New jeans, some booze, some bad food - no regrets and a good time! Oh and nice comments from friends who haven't seen us for a while! It got me into the holiday spirit and I might put my tree up tonight. I'm feeling you with the good week ahead - although I didn't make it to the gym this morning :smash:. No excuses for the rest of the week though! Let's really push it!

I'm feeling like this is going to be a good week... can't wait to see how we all do! :) Oh and I was back in the 130's yesterday (139.8 to be exact... Marie, I'm right with ya now!!!)

~ Sarah

:coolgleamA: 139.8!! We ROCK!!!

Kick ass workout this morning!! I was thinking about at 5:30am while lying on the floor of my livingroom, cold, achy and not sleeping (story's in my journal). I was thinking about how you were probably at the gym running away, kicking butt... and I was right!! It is going to be a good week... it's just going to start a little later in the day for me :ack2:

Hey guys!!

Whew... this morning I SERIOUSLY wanted to sleep in. I don't know why... I went to bed way earlier last night than I have been lately!!! It's getting sooo hard to get out of bed... ugh!!! But I GOTTA stick with it!!!

At the gym today I ran 1 mile on the treadmill, then did 15 minutes on the elliptical with incline 20 and resistance 9, and after that I rode the bike for 10 minutes on level 8. Nothin' crazy today.

Here is yesterday's food log:
Breakfast - 1/2 blueberry bagel w/light cream cheese (200 cal) apple (80 cal)
Snacks - Rice cake w/pb (215 cal) almonds (90 cal)
Lunch - Salad w/light ranch dressing (70 cal) turkey & mayo sandwich (165 cal) organic white cheddar rosemary popcorn (130 cal)
Snack - Nuts (50 cal)
Dinner - Stir fry: brown rice, teriyaki chicken, red&yellow&green&orange peppers, onions, pineapple, sweet&sour sauce (400 cal)
Dessert - Sugar free pudding (60 cal)
= 1,460 calories

Totally slacking on water. Eek!

Gotta get ready for class.... talk to you all later!
~ Sarah

At least you still made it out of bed - can't say the same for me :banghead:
Where did you get this - organic white cheddar rosemary popcorn? That sounds so good! I want some right now! I think because it's getting colder out too it's harder to drink as much water because water usually makes me even colder! I have been drinking more tea but I know it's not as good.
Happy December 1st! Keep it up Sarah!

Get back on the water!!! You need it!!!

Have a good one :)

Hey! The popcorn is sold at Target. It's from their Archer Farms brand (I think that's the name). The serving size is 2 1/2 cups for only 160 calories.... that's a whole lotta popcorn. And it is soooooo good!!! I agree about the cold weather affecting my water intake... I don't want something cool and refreshing... I want some coffee or something!!

Hahahah I didn't mean it like that!!! LOL usually I just work myself a little harder at the gym. But with my chest pains lately I thought it would be best to not push myself too much :-/ I gotta buy myself bottled water. That's when I drink it the most because apparently I'm just too lazy to fill a glass or refill my water bottle at home!! I yi yi!

I'll have to look next time I'm in the States - it sounds so good and the serving size is very generous!
Or something like a Hot Chocolate - yumm that would warm me up right now. But I shouldn't so maybe I will just do some jumping jacks in the washroom.

Oh boy... how could you live without a Target!??! LOL Yeah I'm sure you get by fine over there but Target is AWESOME!! I love it :)

Just wanted to share something fun with you guys.... I was looking at some classes for next semester to add to my schedule and I enrolled in a weight training class! It is on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8:50-9:40 and it is in the same fitness center that I work out in so I will be able to do my morning work outs and then go right to weight training from there! And the cool thing is that even though it's only for half of the semester, it starts January 19th and goes til our spring break starts at the end of March! 8 weeks long... can't wait to have a nice hott beach bod!!! LOL :coolgleamA: Now all I need is a place to go for vacation! :D

Ya, all we get is Walmart :p It sucks :p

That class sounds awesome. You'll love the weights, and never go back to straight cardio again. The strength you start to feel is so empowering and is a whole new high. I'm VERY excited for you!!!!

Yes I'm really excited to start adding some strength training to my workout. The most I do is just some bicep curls and squats/arm raises with 8lb dumb bells right now. It will be fun to try something new!

Just wanted to add pics because pics are fun :D Pics from Saturday night, and my new jeans, and my stir fry!!! hah

Hey!

Alright... so last night my roommate had her friends come over because it was someone's birthday so I got sucked into hanging out with them and drinking. I had one mixed drink and 3 beers but I was up pretty late so when I woke up this morning at 6 I just had to skip the gym. The GOOD news is my 2nd class is cancelled today, so after my first class I'm going to head straight to the gym. And I am going to do WORK today!

Here is the food log from yesterday:
Breakfast - 2 pieces of toast (70 cal) egg w/cheese (150 cal) cup of skim milk (90 cal) clementine (30 cal)
Snacks - Banana (120 cal) a little guac & tortilla chips (60 cal)
Lunch - Leftover stir fry (200 cal)
Snacks - SF jello (60 cal) celery w/cream cheese (80 cal)
Dinner - Oatmeal (160 cal) 1/2 cup pineapple chunks (70 cal)
Snack - Pistachios (100 cal)
= 1,190 cal + alcohol = probably about 1,700

I had 3/4 cup Honey Nut Cheerios with 1/2 cup skim milk, toast w/1 tbsp peanut butter, and a banana for breakfast this morning. I'm going to do really good today with my eating and I'm planning it all out so I don't get off track.

I'll write back later after my workout!

It is such a good idea to keep track of your diet. This helps you to observe and count everything you are putting into your body. Sometimes I like to switch up my workout routines before I lose motivation. Gook Luck and keep up the hard work!!

Alright, I'm back!

Spent a little over an hour at the gym today...

Ran 3 miles @ 6.0 mph
20 minutes elliptical - highest incline, level 9 resistance
Ran 1 mile @ 6.0 mph

So I'm feeling pretty good now! I haven't done my floor exercises yet... I was too hungry I had to eat right away!! Forgot to bring a snack to eat before the gym :toetap05:

That's all! Adios :)
~ Sarah

TWO WORDS - YOU RULE! Keep it up!
Glad you had fun last night with your friends and even with drinking I probably consumed double the calories you did on peanuts alone :puke:

Hey, it's all thanks to YOU that I got my ass back on the treadmill after the elliptical! It was actually really hard, my legs felt sooo heavy but I thought about how the other day you did 1.7 miles then did the class and went back to run 1.7 more :D So thank you for that bit of inspiration! :)

Congratulations with your weight loss!

Besides weight loss goals we seem to have quite a bit in common. I am also taking college courses and I am in my second year (I’m 20). What courses are you taking btw?

I am also a sophomore :) I'm 19. I'm majoring in organizational communication, so I'm taking a lot of speech and communication classes. What about you?

Thank god it's Thursday!!! 3 classes til the weekend for me.... YES!

I didn't do much at the gym today... I was a little sore from yesterday (I never stretched after the gym) so I did 20 minutes on the treadmil - 10 minute mile run @ 6.0 mph, 10 minute walk incline of 8 @ 3.8 mph. Then I rode the bike for 15 minutes. I did all my floor exercises today too.

Food log from yesterday:
Breakfast - Cheerios w/ skim milk (155 cal) toast w/pb (125 cal) banana (110 cal)
Lunch - Turkey cheese mustard & sundried tomato hummus sandwich (interesting.. it was good actually.. 195 cal) salad w/light ranch dressing (90 cal) 1/4 c cottage cheese (40 cal) pineapple chunks (60 cal)
Snack - Picked at a few things - tortilla chips w/ pico, few bites of garlic bread... probably around 100 cal
Dinner - Chicken (200 cal) mixed veggies (70 cal)
Snack - SF pudding (60) clementine (30 cal)
= 1, 235 calories

If you guys noticed at all whenever I have toast or a sandwich the calories seem low... the bread I eat has only 35 calories per slice! And it's good, and it's a good size. I can't remember the brand right now but yeah :)

This morning my roommate said, "I need to start counting calories like you." I asked her why but she didn't really give me a reason. She then asked me how much I lost, and I told her.. she seemed surprised. But I think (I think) that maybe she is seeing my progress and that's why she is asking me about it and now she wants to do what I'm doing. She is in good shape though, she runs 3 miles every day pretty much. It was just kinda cool that I have inspired her to start paying more attention to her diet!

Tomorrow is my weigh in... not sure how that's gonna go! I'm hoping to see 138 but I just don't know! I did good this week with my eating, though. Last week was filled with brownies and Thanksgiving food and the week before that was filled with that damn lemon cake! lol ... so we'll see :) 8 days to get to the 137 goal... I hope I can still make it even though "aunt flow" is due for a visit next week :-/

Alright, that's all for now!
~ Sarah
