Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

I ran 10K non-stop in an hour! Okay, an hour and one minute but who's counting? :p I thought running a straight 5K last week was something to be proud of... but DAMN... I really did that?!?!!? :D

I'm going to have to give a little shout out here to someone that made this possible for me today: Marathon Man
First of all, he is the reason that I have decided to sign up for the Madison half marathon in May! I did not know about it until I read his journal. And second, he ran 8 straight miles yesterday without stopping! This amazed me because I could see how fast he has progressed already from running - so I figured, why shouldn't I give it a shot and see what I can do?! :D So a big THANKS to YOU Marathon Man!!!

~ Sarah

Haha! I knew you could do it. And at a ten minute pace too!! Dang. You're pretty amazing. Now I'm gonna have to work twice as hard if I'm gonna catch your pace and beat you in Madison. :boxing: It's all about everyone's positive energy pooling together so we can do great things.

I was totally feeling down about my crappy day today, and you totally cheered me up. Yay for you! :hurray: I feel so inspired I'm going to turn my boring rest day into a light 2 mile run recovery day.

Oh, and I was told that the Madison race fills up by like February, and you get a discount by registering before December I think. Maybe I'll see you there if you end up making it!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by and I'm happy that I could cheer you up :) You kick ass so I had to give you a shout out :p Yes, I checked the website and it is $52 for the half marathon if you sign up before December 31st, then the prices start to go up. And I WILL see you there :p Bring it on!!!!!

Okay so I had quite a scare this morning..... I almost didn't make it to the gym! I only had 1 alarm set, turned it off and fell back asleep. Luckily I woke up (10 minutes late though) and got my butt up!

I ran 1 mile on the treadmill, did 1 mile on the elliptical, and did 3 miles on the bike. I did some arms/legs/abs work after and I'm feeling pretty good. I thought for sure that I would be too sore to do anything today from my run yesterday but surprisingly I'm not! So that was nice!

For breakfast I had a 16oz coffee and a rice cake w/peanut butter. I started to eat a yogurt but didn't finish it.

Last day of classes for the week... yes! SO happy it's the weekend!

Have a great day everyone!!!!

Running outside is soooo much easier than running on a treadmill! Who woulda thought? It's too bad it's almost winter here in Wisconsin... not much time left for nice running weather!
AGREEEEED. i think for me part of it is because i stay cooler also which makes it better for running with constant cool air in my face!!! But also... change of scenery... you dont get so bored.

10K is awesome and in an hour, that's so amazing! I will get there one of these days but the 5K are still kicking my butt.
I didn't know you drink coffee? This isn't something you have every day is it? Maybe I just never noticed before.
I'm totally going to sign up for a half marathon - I wish you could do it with me! I asked my hunnie if he would be interested and he laughed then he said ya maybe but I will want to be competitive and win and as soon as I heard that I knew it wouldn't happen because he doesn't get dedicated to do anything. Don't get me wrong it would be great if he did but I know him too all too well and it will never happen. I just want to do it to finish it not be competitive - at least for the first couple, lol. I really do wish I could find a workout partner with the same goals and fitness level as me - I'm too shy to approach someone at the gym. My sister is Calgary is working out and we used to be great workout partners and I really miss that.
I used to enjoy walking outside when I lived at my parents because it was all dirt roads and lots of hills and now where I live it's all pavement and flat as the desert so it hurts my knees and is really boring.
Anyway sorry to talk about myself in YOUR diary sometimes I just go off and forget where I am. Anyway girl you are doing great! Can't wait to celebrate the 130's for you! I'm going to be so proud - well I guess I already am.
Have a great start to your weekend! I'm so jealous!

Hey :) About the coffee thing... no, I don't normally drink coffee. I ALWAYS do Friday and Saturday mornings at work. But this morning I had to get some because... ok this might be weird, lol.. well I haven't been able to go to the bathroom for the past couple days.. if you know what I mean.. and coffee always goes right through me.. I NEEDED it because I seriously felt so heavy being all backed up and on top of that having cramps!!! It always works for me lol :) idk why!? I also asked my boyfriend to join the half marathon with me... he said he would but he's really been slacking on the working out lately so I'm not sure that he would do it with me. And I am the same as you!! I just want to FINISH! If I have to jog at a turtle's pace the whole time, so be it! :p Gotta run!!! ta ta for now :waving:

This is the first time in my life that I have worked out without a partner. When I first started I was so worried that I wasn't going to find someone and therefore not be motivated, etc. But you know... call me crazy, but YOU GUYS are now my partners. First thing in the morning I read about what you've done, where your at and it makes me what to get out there to!! While I'm at the gym I start pushing myself b/c of our goals, and honestly I'm at the point where I'm glad I don't have someone there 'bugging' me ;) I'm not comparing myself to anyone, I don't have to feel like crap if my partner did better than me or have to listen to someone elses crap when I'm trying to focus on me for that one hour of the day (that sounded a little harsh:blush5:) Anyway, not sure if that'll help, but you've all really helped me... so "THANKYOU"... again :D

I really like the way you put that!!! I've got my work out partners right here :p And thank YOU! I agree that I like working out by myself... I can go at my own pace and finish when I want to.

BTW I'm doin' good so far on water today! Already at 72 ounces.. oh plus the coffee 16 ounces this morning! Lots of bathroom breaks, fun fun!

Time to go home and get to my guitar lesson!!! YAYY and the weekend starts..... NOW!

Oh!

I forgot!!! Yesterday was the 11th which is the 2 month mark of my new lifestyle!!! Jeez... feels like it's been so much longer!!! But very happy with what I have accomplished in just 2 short months.

If you want something..... reach out and grab it! <--- I love this quote, it's from Into The Wild, amazing movie :)

Friday!!!!

I love the weekends! :D

This morning I decided to weigh myself and I was 141.6!!! That was really nice to see.. a LOSS after 2 Friday's in a row GAINING! I drank a lot of water yesterday and I plan to do that again today and hopefully see a little drop for my weigh in tomorrow. Now I feel back on track and I don't see any reason that I can't reach 137 by December 11th... it's just a little under a month away. I can totally do it!

I ran 3 miles on the treadmill this morning and walked 5 minutes on incline, cooled down for just a minute then STARTED arms/abs. But I was rushed to get in the shower because all of a sudden there are some guys coming over to knock our shower out because we are putting in a new one!!! So I rushed through my sit ups and stretching, got in the shower for 2 minutes, go out and waited..... yeah.... it took theses guys 40 minutes to get here!! WTF. Oh well. I'm glad I got my run in all the way.

I had some Go Lean crunch cereal this morning w/skim milk (235 cal) and a piece of wheat toast with just a little peanut butter (110 cal).

Tonight after work I'm going out to dinner with my boyfriend's family for his mom's birthday. She picked BW3's to eat at so I guess this is good because I can get chicken for dinner. I'm going to try to not eat any fries to avoid all the salt!

Now I gotta get ready for work... I think it's gonna be a looonnnng day!

That is exactly why I have to eat all bran buds for breakfast every morning! I have a big problem with this and it's usually a lot worse when I eat crap so it hasn't been as bad lately. Sometimes the old me would go 4 days without dropping any kids off and that was awful - I would get the worst pains. The increased water, tea and bran buds have been really doing the trick - oh and the morning workouts seem to be helping too. I'm glad you don't drink it everyday - it's a hard habit to break.
 way to go on the loss this morning! You are totally going to reach your goal! I'm so happy! I love weekends too but would love them more if I could get them under control. We were sooo good this week though I think we are allowed to treat ourselves! As long as we kick butt again next week! Have a great weekend Sarah, I always look forward to Monday morning and checking in on you! Cheers!

I agree that working out helps the bathroom situation! The other day when I did my 10K I was like ohhhhh boy! I gotta go NOW!!! lol I'm also very happy that we were all able to celebrate this weekend! :D Finally! And we WILL kick major booty again this week... we've got some goals to meet!!!

I really can't imagine it right now!! It seems almost surreal that I'm THAT close! That made me laugh that you are more excited for MY weigh in tomorrow! lol! We'll both have something to be proud of for sure :)

Head's up.... I decided I'm not going to weigh myself tomorrow. I went out to dinner (had a salad, no dressing though!!!) had piece of pie after, and now I'm drinking champagne.

I'm just gonna stick to Friday weigh ins like I have been, so I'll change my ticker accordingly :D

WHAT?!?!? Now I have no reason to get up in the morning ;) Just kidding. Hope your having a fabulous evening... champagne??? Anything special going on???????

Hahah :) Well we went to dinner for my boyfriend's mom's birthday... then we had pie.... and then I guess my boyfriend was in a little party mood so he wanted to drink lol. I only had one glass of champage (not even a full glass) so that was good! Normally I would have drank the whole bottle, LOL.

So I ate good all day yesterday and drank lots of water. We went to Buffalo Wild Wing's for dinner. I ordered the Honey BBQ Chicken Salad. I made sure the chicked was GRILLED and I asked to have them not put any sauce on the chicken, and to have the dressing on the side. The salad came with chicken, cheese, and pico de gallo sauce. I ate it just like that - no dressing! The pico sauce actually gave it enough flavor... so I saved myself a lot of calories that way! I ended up having some fries and a few of my boyfriend's nachos :ack2: and then I had a small piece of apple carmel pecan pie! Eeek but it was delicious :) Followed by a little champagne. So yeah.

I am going to stick to Friday weigh in's - I think I had a little mini panic attack that every Friday I was going to keep going up - but I finally saw a drop and so I might as well keep on keepin' on! I'm going to do really good today - NO drinking tonight (I'm going to a bonfire, too) and I will find something healthy for dinner, no eating/snacking late either.

Have a great day everyone! Time to hit the treadmill.. I think I'm just gonna do 2 miles this morning. I've done 18.5 miles so far this week lol so I think 2 more is enough :D

Isn't it funny how we start to panic when things don't go the way they are "suppost" too? I've always been so bad for that... and would start to blame myself and think I was stupid and doing everything wrong. Yikes! Don't ever what to go back to that place again!!

Please don't forget that life is not all about the numbers dropping on the scale. Your young, have fun too!! :cheers2: Trust me, if you start depriving yourself b/c of your weight it can spiral out pretty quick. You don't want to resent it. I have always sabotaged myself by thinking I 'couldn't' have it and then having ALL of it just to prove that it was MY life and I could do what I wanted. Sorry, I'm lecturing :chillpill:

Have fun tonight :D

Oh happy day!

So today is my co-worker's birthday. She brought in blueberry doughnuts. And I of course ate one. They were pretty small though, and I picked the one without sugar or frosting. Another co-worker of mine said she can't eat that junk because it goes right to her hips. I said, "yeah, I really shouldn't be eating this." She said, "yeah but you have lost a lot of weight where you can have a treat and it isn't a big deal since you're exercising enough." She also commented on how my butt looks a lot better and you can just tell that I've lost a lot of weight. This made me really happy to hear because no one at work has said anything yet!! And I feel like I don't look THAT different. But I guess I do :D

Great start to my day. Now I have to face the next birthday treat.... PIZZA! UGH! If I do have any, I will only have a tiny piece though. I really shouldn't because I have my lunch packed, but it's so hard to resist when it's there!

I'll update ya guys on how that goes later :p

~ Sarah

Okay, so I skipped the pizza!
........ but I had a candy bar instead :banghead: 170 empty cals :banghead: I don't really mind though. Today I had oatmeal, a banana, milk, *cough*a doughnut*cough*, a ham sandwich on wheat, an apple, some pretzel sticks, string cheese, and now the candy bar. And I just got some coffee. Hmm...didn't need that doughnut, DEFINITELY didn't need that candy bar, and maybe I could've skipped the coffee but my throat is hurting and I wanted to soothe it :nopity:

WHATEVER!!!!! I'm doing good on water today... I'm feeling quite tired. I hope I'm not getting sick - I sure do feel like it though :(

I just want to curl up in bed and watch a movie and go to sleep early! But I have plans to spend time with my friend tonight. Hmph.

Can't wait to get on the treadmill in the morning! I need some energy!!!
