Inspired, motivated, and READY!!! :)

I know I really don't want to kick myself in the butt when I get on the scale and I'm going to face reality tomorrow (on my scale at home) and maybe weigh-in at WW on Friday. If I keep putting it off it will only get worse. Really how bad could it be right - 5 pounds (I know it takes 3500 cals to gain a pound) I might have had that much in candy each day! Plus Sunday I'm sure was close to over 3500 and I probably drank close to that too. I will try to lose it by Monday - no more parties for a while so that is good. I think that might also have something to do with my lack of motivation. I was trying so hard for Halloween for my costume to look good and now I don't have anything coming up soon to motivate me - xmas still seems to far away.

I ran today on the treadmill... just for you ;) Ok, maybe a little for me but you were in my head pushing me to give it a try. I had done 30 min on the crossfit machine thing and then wanted to do the treadmill too. I did 5 min walk at 3.5, then 1 min at 6.0, 4min at 3.5, 1min at 6.0 etc for 30min. It felt good. I've never liked running but in the small amounts it felt pretty awesome!! Thanks again girl :D:D:D

Hey girl!!...i'm swammped right now, But just wanted to say..GREAT SHOTS!!! You look super slim!!!..And you have no hanging anything anywhere!! Good for yOU!!!!!

Good for you to plan on getting on that scale! You can't be afraid of it! I hope that whatever number comes up it encourages you to push hard again - if you see a number that you don't like, don't let it get you down to the point that you don't want to do anything about it! And who needs a special occasion to make a goal? Unfortunately, everyday can't be Halloween! Pick a date and set a goal. For example, I made my goal to reach 135 by December. I do not say a specific date because 135 is my original ending goal and any time in December that I can reach it would be fine by me. If setting a specific date helps you to push harder, do it! Heck, why don't we just make one together? :D I'm not sure how long it will take me to reach my final goal... so maybe setting a goal for 135-137 and you for 145-147 by the beginning of December? December 4th perhaps? We have about the same amount of weight to lose to reach those numbers so why not? Maybe both of us working at our goals for the same date will push us both :p competition maybe? ha jk Let me know what you think though!

Awesome!!!!! Don't you love intervals? They help you lost weight faster too :) Keep it up! I'm so happy I can be a motivation to you!!! :)

Thanks Alta! :) and I have to say I'm thinking about signing up for a half marathon that is at the end of May.... and I'm really thinking about it because I want to accomplish something at least HALF as amazing (literally, 13.1 miles LOL) as you!!

May I get in on this too?!?!
135-137 Dec 4th

Of course!!! :D I think moving it to December 11th might be more reasonable - taking into consideration Thanksgiving and "that time of the month."

So how about it? December 11th? :)

Dec 11 works great for me too... timing wise. Don't have to worry about Thanksgiving as here in Canada it was Oct 12 ;) I will be all done with "that time of the month" though!

Dec 11th it is :D:D:D

Oh, I want in on this! December 11th, I marked my calendar. Hopefully I will be down to somewhere between 125-130 lbs by then.

Great!!! I put this date onto my goal chart. Here are my goals as of right now:

137 by December 11th
135 by Christmas
130 by Valentine's Day
125 by Spring Break

So my original goal was to make 135 but I feel like I can lose more. I made another goal to reach 130. If I CAN go farther than this, I made myself a goal for 125 but that is the point where I will not be focused on losing weight anymore, it will be about staying healthy and fit. I also calculated my BMI to see where I would be if I did weigh 125 and I would be at 21.40 which is in the middle of the "normal" range, so this would not be going "too far."

I think I have set pretty reasonable goals for myself. I'm giving myself plenty of time, taking into consideration monthly cycles, the holiday's, weekends, etc.

My food log for today:
Breakfast - Toast, cottage cheese, peaches (220 cal)
Snacks - Rice cake w/pb, almonds, candy (325 cal)
Lunch - Chicken w/mayo sandwich, goldfish crackers, pistachios (465 cal)
Dinner - Baked potato w/butter, steamed veggies, salad w/light ranch dressing (230 cal)
Dessert - Light yogurt (110 cal)
= 1,350 calories

Could've skipped the candy, but my professor was handing it out in class and it just looked too yummy! Also, goldfish crackers aren't really the best BUT if I can eat 55 of those little fishes for only 140 calories, I'll eat em'!

I didn't drink much water today... I probably had about 68 oz total.

I just mapped out a 3.2 mile run for myself around the neighborhood here at school. It is supposed to be mostly sunny and 50 degrees here on Thursday, so I plan to do my run then (tomorrow it is supposed to rain). Hopefully the weather cooperates :)

Going to bed early tonight... I'm going to have a busy day tomorrow so I better get some rest!

Goodnight!

Girl, you are CRAZY! But in a totally good way :D Even though I've been slacking lately, your posts always keep me positive and motivated to do as well as you! So inspirational :)

A month ago I actually set December 6th as my "goal date" to reach 140 lb, but I'm thinking anywhere in the 140's is acceptable. It's marked on my calender and I put different colored stickers for everyday counting down to it that I've either had a good workout, ate well, or did both! Pretty motivating. Only problem is I totally forget about my goal when I'm tempted to eat something I shouldn't or eat more of something or just flat-out not workout. Gotta get better with that so I can make it to my goal!

You pictures look sooo good; I'd LOVE to look like that haha. Keep up the excellent work!

Thanks Deanna! :) The beginning of December seems like a good time to set a goal - Christmas is still a little far away! "Mini" goals are way better... always something to look forward to :) I like the idea of your calendar! I might try that :D

This morning's workout was not very intense - BUT, it was atleast a work out! I just ran a mile on the treadmill and did a mile on the elliptical, followed by arms and abs. I wanted to take it easy today because I have mapped out a 3.2 mile course to run outside tomorrow that I would like to do. I know it's going to be harder to run outside, especially in the cold! I'm a little nervous because this is going to give me an idea of what Sunday's run is going to be like!

I just had 2 eggs scrambled and oatmeal for breakfast (300 cal). I'm very tired and I really want to take a nap before class... I think I might do that. I can barely keep my eyes open!

Later!

Excellent!!! I love that there is a group of us. Maybe we should start a page for it so we're all not spamming up your diary with our stuff...

Hey Melissa! That road ID sounds pretty cool :) I actually got too excited to try this 5K outside so I ran it today...

...and just got back now....

I ran 3.2 miles in 31 minutes and I accomplished my goal which was to NOT STOP AT ALL!
I could NOT believe how EASY it actually was!!! Despite some pain in my shins, I felt like I could keep going! This is a MAJOR accomplishment for me - looking back on the first week of school, (just 2 months ago) I went for a run with my roommate and took a very similar route (minus a few turns here and there) and as I was running through these points I was recalling "this is where I stopped first" then "this is where I had to walk again" and then "this is where I started walking the rest of the way".... these points were all within the first 1.5 miles.... and now I just ran straight through 3.2!?!!?!?!

Major accomplishment, HUGE sense of pride.... TOTALLY looking forward to the 5K this Sunday and DEFINITELY signing up for the half marathon in Madison this May!!!!!! :D :D :D

Trust me - I used to cringe at the thought of running! But I can tell that it is going to be a passion of mine soon - right now, I'm still getting into it and I'm liking it but once I start doing more races and stuff I can tell it will be a big part of my life! I'm also happy that you found this site! :D
