I do the SAME thing when I'm stressed out or upset...reach for the food! When my husband makes me mad, I eat something. When work is stressful, I eat something. Or I used to, at least. I still do, sometimes, but not nearly as much as before.
Before, my go-to bad day food was an order of five mozzarella cheese sticks from a local fast food place. With ranch dressing. Yum. But SO bad for me. I looked online and found one serving (135 grams) has 410 calories and 21 grams of fat....not sure how many servings there actually ARE in an order...
