Sport If I have another can of tuna....

Sport Fitness
...I'll die! Well not really but seriously guys, I'm running out of ways to make tuna, it's all starting to taste the same to me: tuna! LOL

I know, chicken, whey, eggs, black beans. I didn't really have a question, it was more of a venting statement :p

I hung tuna up on the shelf for a while as well. I recently purchased some canned chicken and like it a lot. I'ts quick and easy and a good souce of protein.

Or if you do want to stick with the tuna, try buying the tuna that comes in a pouch. It tastes MUCH better than the canned stuff.

nuttin wrong with lean red meat or lean pork either, especially if its just once a day.

lean red meat, like any round steak or flank steak. even diet lean ground beef is rather fatty.

and don't forget turkey breast...its not just for thanksgiving :)

I just recently started eating tuna again after not having any for two years. Just got tired of it back then

I think I got tired of it due to the fact that there isn't a lot of ways to eat it where as beef, chicken, pork, etc....you can cook those a million different ways.

Canned chicken? Ive never seen that before.
Is it flavoured?
Does it taste ok?
What About E-numbers and perservatives, does it have any?
what nutritian values does it have?

Sorry LV I know your busy, just really interested.

I like it every once in a while... i couldn't eat it regularly though. Its really good if you sautee it with some veggies and olive oil, throw it on a WW wrap with a little low-fat cheese... hot sauce... mmm

I can't remember the nutrition off the top of my head, but it wasn't too bad. I have no clue about preservatives or anything...

Good answers guys! I've heard of canned chicken, I may move on to it, I'll look for it at the store and check out the label.

I think we all like tuna because it's so darn convenient! Easy to make lunch out of it. At home I have time to cook meats like pork and lean red meats and stuff but lunch here at work is different .

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has gotten her fill though :)

about the only way i eat tuna is:
1. must be white albacore
2. mixed in with rice, peas and carrots
3. or right outta the can

I don't touch mayo or miracle whip, so 'tuna salad sandwich' has never been something I had to resist while on a cutting phase at least :)

I would like to throw a vote out for crab as well. It brings in a new flavor and can be made in tons of ways. When I am tired of tuna, I open up some crab.

I take a can and throw it in with pasta or rice as mentioned. There are also ways to make tuna burgers, its not just for sandwiches. I basically use it to boost any carb dominated meal like the two I just mentioned.

That's something I've always wanted to try but haven't yet, tuna burgers. I have a recipie or two somewhere on my computer. Might have to try it Sunday as the Saints don't play till Monday. ;)
