I need advice! check it out.

You can do it however you want. Blackbeard works for 5X5 obv. :p

haha I asked him to pick an existing routine from the routines sticky. The reason the routines sticky was made was because tonnes of people kept coming up with unbalanced routines and kept asking people to fix them. If you use an existing routine you save time, maximise your goals and people do not keep re-inventing the wheel.

I was just ****ing around. ;)

haha. Blackbeard you seem pretty adamant about it, so I think I'll follow the stronglift 5x5 routine. I have followed it for my last 2 workouts and I gotta say I really dread the dips/pullups at the end lol. I'm not sure if I will be able to keep adding the suggested weight increase on exercises every workout but I will damn sure try...

more pics lol. these were taken 7/24 with the webcam so they're about a month old. Not much has been changing, so I'm tryna step my game up :D both physically and nutrionally

took some webcam pics yesterday again. I'm like....narcissistic or something I guess lol.

And I weighed myself yesterday for the first time in a while. 182. roughly 10lbs heavier than I was a couple months ago. I'm hoping it's mostly muscle but who knows.

WOW DUDE!!!

Just. Plain. Wow.

Hardly even look like the guy in the original post anymore.

Absolutely amazing and inspiration transformation.

Keep up the hard work!!!

Oh and bravo on the great photo journal. It would be cool to see all those pics time-lapsed in chronological order. Know how to do that?

I’ve just been reading this to kill half an hour at work. But I felt inspired to log in and say a massive WELL DONE. You really have done well. I know people like you who have lost the weight then given in and it has started creeping on again. But you have really stepped it up a gear and changed your goals and routines as you have progressed. Congratulations, but keep it up. Again, well done.

Thx again for the compliments from everyone.

For the past couple of weeks I haven't been doing any real routines, just sort of finding what I really enjoy. My squat has increased to 265 for 5 reps, 4 sets, and my bench is at 185 for 6 reps, 4 sets. I've been trying not to look at the scale as I know I have gained weight since July when I hit a record low of 170, but I'm hoping it's muscle and not fat haha.

right now back up to about 185-190. Been getting kind of bored with the workouts I've been doing and have been trying to switch it up the best I can.

it's been like this the last couple weeks

#1 -
squats 6 reps x 4 sets
bench 6x4
barbell bent row 6x4
dips failurex3

#2 -
squats 6x4
incline bench 6x4
skullcrushers 6x4
pullups failurex3

#3 -
deadlifts 6x4
military press 6x4
barbell curls 6x4
abs

Still making sure I hit the gym every other day, no excuses ever. Still having a tough time with my diet. I'm around about 185-190 right now. My squat is up to 315 for the 6x4 but bench is only about 170 for my sets. I had been doing a little more weight, but noticed my grip was a little too wide and once I corrected it, the weight I could do dropped lol. anyways....pic from about 2 weeks ago.

Just updating with a last pic since I haven't been doin anything differently. Pretty much just coasting now, trying to maintain what I've accomplished. I'm happy where I'm at and the progress I've made. Still doing fullbody workouts 3 times a week, although it's super tough to find time with 2 jobs and school fulltime. Also have taken a few fitness courses in college and am seriously considering a career in fitness in some way or another.

anyways, here's a cell pic from 3/2/10

I just wanna say Congrats!!!
you have no excess fat anymore.... you look cool now!
i had a similar problem like you...
