I feeeeel goood nananaaaana naaa

For our honeymoon my man and I are planning to come down to Australia (2011 or so). I can't wait! He is a boarder (snow, surf, skate) and I do my best to snowboard and surf, so we are very excited about surfing in Australia!! Plus koala bears! Can't get much better than that!
Where in Australia are you? I think we want to do Sydney, Melbourne, ish... ok I am no geography whiz so I am not really sure how much of oz is feasible in 3 weeks. I kind of fancy going to Billabong, just because it has a funny name! But I guess that is not enough incentive!
Have a great end of the week, Camy

hey cool on the honeymoon plans! I am sure you will enjoy it here, there is a lot to do and see, and Australia is a pretty big country with a very wide geographic range from Tropical rainforest to Desert and everything in between. Most of my overseas friends who have been here have wanted to see Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef for diving or snorkelling.. but there are lots of other places too.. it is a big country and probably easiest to travel one "side" of it up and down .. and LOL's there is no one place called Billabong.. it means Water hole.. sort of a lagoon I guess, lots of them in the Northern Territory.. but lots of Crocodiles in them too LOL

I spent most of my life in Sydney... and moved about 70kms out of the city last year, lots of beaches and a much more relaxed lifestyle :D

Well last night was our traditional Friday night Home made pizza night with Drinks!!

So I ate too much, and drank too much LOL but today I worked out how many cals are in my home made pizza (I make the wholewheat base use light cheese veggies and lean chicken ) and wow.. it wasn't too bad, only 153 per large slice!!! wooo hooo!

So even tho I ate and drank too much I was only at 2000 cals for the day.. 500 over but not at all enough to make me put on weight.. .makes me feel relieved!!!

Today has been very good so far, been busy as heck running around all day.. and I have to do some housework this afternoon, so will be burning more cals!

LOL the portion control once it's done is not an issue, just the tasting and nibbling throughout the cooking process that gets me!!! I have to be very aware of it, and have really reduced that side of things!

Here is the salad we had last night.. you could make this lighter with less beans and or low fat cheese (we only had full fat on hand)

Warm Roast Pumpkin/Butter Bean/Rocket and Feta Salad

serves 2

2 cups pumpkin cut into small dice and roasted in the oven (100)
1 x 400gm can of Butter Beans - rinsed (382)
2 or 3 large handfuls of baby Rocket (Arugula) washed (10 - 15)
50gms Goat's milk Fetta cheese (125)

Dressing..mix together well...

1tbspn Balsamic Vinegar (2)
1tbspn Caesar dressing (75) (use low fat if you have it - I only had Cardini's full fat)
smidge of mustard
and a dash of water

Place Rocket and Butter Beans into a salad bowl, toss to mix,
add the hot Roasted Pumpkin then quickly toss and top with the crumbled Feta.

Drizzle dressing over the top and serve immediately!

Yum!

I copy and pasted this last one too. :drool5:

My apologies for my outbursts. I hope it wasn't taken personally, I just vent loudly, and in anger with myself. :leaving: I have to try to relax more.

How are you doing Kori?

Take Care, TTYL

Good to hear! I hope you do make it, it is really easy peasy and very yummy!

Hey.. no probs :)

I am doing fine thanks, feeling a bit exhausted today, but that is my own bloody fault, I drank too much last night and have a bit of a hangover!! lol I also did not get enough sleep last night.

I got to stop drinking so damn much! NO doubt I have put on the weight I lost last week ... AGAIN! ARgh why do I keep doing this to myself!

Today I got my hubby to take some "before" photos.. and OMG I almost died, they are the ugliest, fattest most hideous things I have EVER seen.. I was truly mortified and embarassed! I am so glad that I am three weeks into this lifestyle change and am fully committed to the process and happy.. as otherwise I think seeing the photos.. I would just have cried and cried and probably stuffed my face!!!! I had no idea just how bad it was!

I doubt I will ever show them - they are that bad!

We went out for a walk and it almost killed us both, for some reason both of us have really sore ankles and knees today.. it was hard work even walking!

So today has not been great all in all...

....But onward and upward!!!

Its great that you didn't stuff ya face after seeing the photo's :) and great effort on the walk.

Overall this weekend was pretty bad - ate too much and drank every night .. but never mind!

Back in the saddle for a brand new week! :D

Aw, I'm sorry your weekend was lousy. Good thing you have a bright attitude and can move forward :D We all make mistakes.

I took some before photos too, and yikes! I took a photo of my back and I had no idea my back was so fat. lol. Why hasn't anyone ever told me that I look this bad? lol

But whatever, we'll both be pretty good lookin pretty soon :D

Awww... thanks hun for the encouragement! I need it a bit today :p

still feeling very sore in the knee and ankles.. not sure what is going on there.

But today has been great food wise! Beautifully back on track!

Hope you are having a great day!

It must have just been that kind of lousy weekend everywhere! Great job on getting back on track too. It takes a lot of focus to get back there.

I really hate before/during pictures too. Next to my chin, I hate my stomach and back fat area. Can't wait until it's gone!

Yeah you might be right! Glad we have all gotten through it anyway!!! :D

Today has been great food wise, and I did a (for me) good workout on the Wii LOL it is so silly and so much fun! So it felt good just to be moving!

This time right here..(5.48pm) 5 - 7pm (when hubby gets home) is my danger time, I really want to eat eat eat always at this time of the day for some reason.. even tho I had some low fat yoghurt at 4pm I just get really hungry before dinner - and as I am usually cooking two seperate kinds of meals (one of which will be very high cal for my skinny mini son) I tend to graze on things I am preparing! LOL at least I am now aware of it and tend to steer clear of kiddo's stuff!!!

My sister-in-law is thin and perfect. LOL, but she's like that for a reason. She works out and watches what she eats.

She can good REALLY good food. But she kinda eats as she cooks. So whenever I'm at her house she always sits down to dinner but never to eat. Just to watch me eat I guess. She always says that she picks over the food while she eats and that's why she never eats dinner. Very smart.

Anyway, lol, you saying that you graze as you cook reminded me of her. lol It's very hard not to eat as you cook, you just gotta be aware, like you said, so you can watch yourself better. :D

Lol yeah it's a really good point! I don't sit down to a huge meal anymore, but I am making sure I get enough (not into starvation.. plus I LOVE to eat LOL )

I make sure I cut up extra Cauliflower or green beans or carrot sticks etc.. so if I do nibble it is not too bad. :) Just had 11 Almonds (77 cals LOL) to stave off the munchies till hubby gets home! arghghghg hurry up man! hehehe

It kills me when he works late! He always says go ahead and eat, but it feels all wrong so I wait.... and nibble LOL only raw veggies now tho!

Hey Kori,
same problem here, I get the afternoon hunger. What works best for me is to work out at that time. I don't get hungry if I am working out! But if you have kids at home that is not always possible.
I blame my job for my weight gain, I worked as a nanny for 4 years and went from a slightly chubby 130 pounds to a terribly bloated 160. My kids' mom always tried to be healthy but it was pizza once a week, hot dogs once a week, chicken nuggets once a week and always pasta or quesadillas on the side (plus a veggie). And since I cooked the food and fed it to the munchkins I grazed on it, ate whatever was left over AND then went home cooked another meal for my man and I and had a whole dinner afterwards!
Those grazing calories really really add up let me tell you! But since you can't quit your children ;) I'd say try to reduce the grazing, for me what really helped was to chew gum while I cooked, that way I had something in my mouth and couldn't really put anything else in there!

have a great week, Camy

:iagree:The chewing gum is actually not a bad way to go. I do this at work sometimes to keep from hitting the vending machines.

Not a fan of the whole veggie thing, only because I sually want something sweet if I'm getting hungry, so I usually go with fruit. Same concept, just different solution.

LOL Yeah I am pretty sure there have been nights where I have eaten two full meals without even realising it >_<

If I feel the veggies are not working, will give the gum a try!

Thanks guys for the support and advice :D

Just weighed myself and I am down another kg!!! woooooo Hooooo :hurray:

Rushing off to update my ticker!

wanted to say thanks for stopping by my diary, just read a couple of posts and good to see your doing great :)

-sorry to hear about the sore knees and ankles, if it's any consolation i get sore knees every single day that i workout, i always thought it'd go after a while but not really....just know that if your sore it means you kicked a$$ which is great lol! Just thought i should mention though that it's a fine line between soreness and pain so if it's pain and it persists perhaps it may be worth going for a check up just in case....but if it's soreness then it just means your body is waking up and starting to adjust to the new regimen.

- i read your post about how bad you felt to see your before pics when you took them...i totally feel you on that. i took some before pics and actually had to have them posted for one of the challenges i'm in...i felt physically sick when i hit the send button...lol! one day i'll have my after pics....we all will, lets just keep taking things one day at a time.

- about the bad weekend well, we all have our slip ups but what matters is that you get back up and try again and again untill you succeed....and your back on the programme which is great! so don't beat yourself up about it.

your doing great girl!

lol Sometimes I chew gum until my jaw feels like it's going to fall off, but it does stave off snacking. If I'm still absolutely starved, I'll sit down with a nice cold glass of skim milk. Lots of protein and calcium without the fat, and that seems to do the trick!

I love nuts and I think they'd do well too, but my problem is with portion. I could eat the whole thing if not rationed. Maybe I should give those 100 calorie pack nuts a try?
