I don't know where to start

Not one of you have laughed more than we did. Yes, the set is up all screw-holes have screws in them so we are hoping for the best. A lazy Sunday for us, not got anything planned but if the weather holds we shall probably sit out in the garden this afternoon.
We live on a hill and in the summer it never gets too hot because there is always a gentle breeze. Different story in the winter:eek:
Howling winds up here. However, even those have their compensations; the birds visiting our bird tables give us a lot of pleasure. Last year, we had a young buzzard sitting on the back fence so we put out a bit of chicken, but he never came back.
Have a good Sunday everyone

Hope you had a lovely lazy Sunday Polly, enjoy that breeze! Where I live today it was positively roasting!

Another pound off today.:jump::jump::jump:
A lady at the knit and natter group is on Cambridge and losing a pound a day. Never mind, she, the hare, put it all back on, but Polly the Tortoise will keeps her's off

Congratulations! I had to google the Cambridge diet and I think you are spot on with the hare/tortoise simile. You can´t develop healthy habits for the long term on a plan like that!

Dreadful, dreadful cramp in both legs at the same time last night. I'm increasing my water intake today to see if that helps

If it doesn't try taking some Magnesium. It works for me xo Cate.

Oh dear.

My friend's grandson (6) was told by his older step brother, that if he stuck a marble up his behind, he would turn into a wizard. He must have thought, that the further up it went the bigger wizard he would become because it was 'inserted' so high up, he needed an anesthetic to get it out.
I've really, really tried to keep a straight face because the little lad has asthma so anesthesia is a risky business even now with more sophisticated procedures, but its been difficult and my husband had to go into the garage until I took her home and stayed with her. The would-be wizard is now back homeand marble free

I think the marble turned into the wizard. YOU SHALL NOT PASS!

Okay that was crude. Im happy his dewizarding went well.

Nice work on the steady weightloss Polly!

I admire anyone who can keep a straight face when being told that story :D And the kid learned a valuable life lesson: "trust but verify" is a dangerous adage.

I'm so glad you all laughed. It's not that I'm unfeeling, but I am still laughing now. I reckon that when this little lad gets married the best man's speech will have this incident in it.

No weight loss this week, but no gain either. I'm consoling myself that I'm probably losing inches.

If you´re giving your body what it needs in the form of healthy food and exercise you are winning, no matter what the scale says. Keep it up!

Thanks Maria. Yesterday was a beautiful day, so we packed a picnic in a rucksack and went to a, little know, natural springs. We took the car, left it in a small car-park in a village and walked about 2 miles to the springs. It was a lovely day. We saw no one, ate in a beautiful spot ( took all our rubbish home with us) and slept like logs after the fresh air.

Your day sounds lovely Polly. You & I are still winning at life, even though the scales are being unkind to us. It does seem to get harder & harder to lose weight, dare I say as I get on a bit, but hey, we won't give up! Cheers, xoC

Love a good picnic; pleasant company, beautiful scenery and a bit of exercise just make it all the more lovely.

No one tells you when you are in your 30's, that when you get into your 60's, parts of you which you took for granted that would always work, actually start breaking down or playing up. There's no getting over it; weight loss slows up.
